I think most of the people who were supporting this game to get new versions on here quit the game after every release was a buggy mess.
Its a shame lots of potential here too. But as you said its buggy and has very little content despite being available since 2018

Yeah, it's mainly because the developers of this game are the same ones for Seeds of Chaos. I forget if it was here on F95 or over on Twitter, but someone asked about the whole JC/Seeds of Chaos dev time split, and they said that Seeds of Chaos is what they're devoting most of their resources to, and even that's still years away from completion.
With that in mind, JC just seems like a side hustle for them to work on if there's a lull in development for Seeds of Chaos, or they figure JC needs an update so it doesn't look like a dead page/game on Patreon.
So in other words don't download this till they're done with seeds of chaos where they'll actually have all of their mind on this game and not seeds of chaos. I have never downloaded this since I first saw it pop up in the latest updates as each time I read the comments and saw that it was a buggy mess so never bothered downloading it and it looks like it'll be like that till they are done with seeds of chaos.

To be fair, JC's core gameplay concept is leagues more complex. Clearly it's emulating Darkest Dungeon and both coding and balancing that has to be a lot more difficult thant Seeds (which is more of a VN if I remember correctly ? Unless I'm mixing it up with another game...).
Can't really blame the guy for wanting to focus on the easier one first, it's more likely that they'll be able to complete it than a more complex project.
Though I didn't got all that many issues with JC myself. Granted, I might not have the latest version, though. But for what's there, it looks promising enough to keep an eye on, imo.

Current version would be alright if the dev tuned down the crits done to the player, eased up the negative effects and cost to remove, and cleaned up some of the bugs. Unless its a complete game breaking bug where a popup effect lingers past its trigger, its hard to tell what is a bug and what is the negative effects cause they have no in game descriptors.
Sad too, cause the concept of a DD game like this is amazing, just no polish or focus. Game is probably already dead.

It's as well animated as a Darkest Dungeon porn clone on a cheap budget should be.
Funny enough is that they're making around 2k USD every month. I've only backed them iirc 2 years ago and stopped backing them with how slow their updates are and what a buggy mess their releases turn out. From then and now, the only new scenes that came out were the brothel scenes and the addition of the mage and cleric... and an unfinished comic that no one really wanted
People really need to expect more from Patreon developers.

One thing that bugs me is the girls working in the brothel for free. By doing it they reduce their lust and gain a kink which is potentially "detrimental" during combat. That much is balanced but they should still gain a small amount of gold for selling themselves.
In the older versions, it wasn't only detrimental; it would actually freeze the game if you got the kleptomaniac kink and your party member would pass by a lootable object lol
But yeah, some amount of gold would be nice. For anyone wondering, someone in this thread found a way to max out gold and materials by editing the game's registry so you don't have to put up with the game's antics.
Still annoying that the devs can't be bothered to put the brothel (and now the church animations) into the animation book on the top right corner.

Church animations are pretty good and the UI changes are very welcome.
I don't doubt that this game will be pretty good once it is finished, just wish progress was a bit faster.

dang how many neverending projects are they milking simultaneously (at least officially)? I know only bout chaos and this.
Saw the latest version. I'm not into people getting hit by a whip but could be good for you. Brothel scenes very good tho
