Quick heads up that version 1.03 is now out; it doesn't change anything other than the file size, which has been reduced from around 3 GB to around 1.9.

I've been caught in a bit of a quagmire lately with my workload, but that's alright. Adversity builds character, after all! In terms of the script, I'm working away at another scene that has a billion variants depending on your choices; all the while, I've been in the process of setting the game up for a Steam release, which is pretty complicated in its own right. I'm excited for both of these things to be over but, for that to happen, I have to put in the work, first...my goal is to tell you that both of these tasks have been completed by the time of next week's update.
Speaking of next week, there will be a good amount of content released for supporters in the next seven days. Tomorrow, I'll be putting out the preview image for the next bonus scene, which will itself release on the 25th. The second CG preview for Episode 2 will also be releasing at some point this week. I'm super enthusastic about getting this stuff out there, just as I am about releasing Ep. 2.

Status Update #28 - July 27, 2025

It's been a whirlwind week full of ups and downs. Last week I said I hoped to report that I had finished writing the big scene with tons of different variables, as well as gone thru all the process of setting things up for Steam. Well, I am here to say that the results are "almost" and "kinda". I am just about done writing the scene in question but not quite finished; I still don't anticipate there being any problem in terms of the projected release date, as I'll be done with all the writing by the time the art all comes together. More on the Steam thing later.
Obviously the big wrench thrown in my plans this week was the Itch.io deindexing of all adult games; was pretty disheartening to see the game's traffic on there, which has been very consistent since release, suddenly crater. No word on when they'll be done with their audit of adult titles or whether or not Jezebel will be deleted, but I'm choosing to remain optimistic about a path to reindexation (is that a word?) for now. Either way, the game is currently in jail, so I thought today's preview picture was only fitting.
The good news is that the adult game ban caused me to get in touch with a publisher, with whom I will be working with to market and release the game on Steam. They have a big team and a good track record, so I have all the more reason to be optimistic about the game's future, even if the Itch thing doesn't pan out my way. More on that when the game is about to be released. Of course, Patreon/SubscribeStar are still the best destinations to get the newest releases early, and always will be. I've already been doing the bonus scenes and the episode previews, but as the game gets a bigger following I'll be coming up with even more exclusive stuff for supporters for sure.

It is a pleasant surprise to see Erika asexual! There is exception for MC of course but her orientation gives rare and interesting character and story.
MC too aromantic, likes sex but no romance, but MC has friends. I really like that! Friendship is important because it's one of the few ways she's nice to people just because and she likes being that way. I like how MC was friends with Thorn's daughter, nothing about manipulation or annoyed about kids or anything just pleasant talking.
I hope at end when Davor dies if you choose to lie and he tells you last words, you can tell his daughter last words. Makes sense to make friends with new house head for politics and I like seeing MC do good even if she's not good.
I don't like episode 1 MC outfit too modern for setting, I like the picture I see in this thread in episode 2 where MC's clothing looks more like the time period. Please please please never make bunny outfit I see it too much in non-modern games.
I like so so much more in this game but all stuff other people already said.

I wouldn't say Erika is asexual, but she's not straight, gay, or bi, either. She's something else entirely...

Status Update #29 - August 3, 2025

I have been working pretty extensively on the game this week; I've finished the scene I've been discussing for the past two weeks, and also been doing a bunch of organizational and planning related tasks to help keep me on track for the future and know what direction I'm going in. The amount of stuff I write that constitutes ideas for future episodes or dialogue is kinda staggering, and I've finally got it all sorted and organized in a digestible fashion, which feels great.
The game has also been reindexed on itch.io! It's only there as a free title at the moment, meaning people couldn't pay for it if they wanted to, but it's still better than nothing! I think Episode 1 is always going to be widely free to play anyway, though hopefully the stuff with the payment processors has been sorted out by the time Ep. 2 is released.

With this post, I just want to talk in detail about whatever I feel like while hopefully also highlighting what it does so well.

There is always more I could say. With few exceptions, every scene of this story is dripping with meaning and entertainment. But that's enough for now. Read Jezebel. It's really really good.

Jason seems not to be too unrealistic to me... There is an orange bimbo crook somewhere, that for some reason has a huge following as well.

UPDATE: I can appreciate the criticism with regard to the game's art style...for the time being, my focus is on making the NSFW scenes, at least, more uniform in style in future episodes. I don't neccesarily view different people's visual takes being included as a bad thing, which is why I included the realistic CG of Duvessa in the bedroom to begin with, but I will say

Your work is deep and thorough, so I feel like it deserves to be met with equally thorough assessment. I wouldn't be satisfied with superficial and easily contestable praise. Examples and specifics are necessary to solidly express how good the story is.
The visual continuity of the characters can be a matter of personal preference, I suppose. I generally have a rather weak visual imagination, so I rely on what my eyes can see in a VN. If what I see clashes with what I saw earlier, there is a bit of a shock.

I'm not tuned into real world politics, especially American politics, enough to know how effective Jasen is as reference. My only concern with this analysis was the internal integrity of the story.
