Umm, guys, what is happening all over the H industry? Somewhere back in the mid 2020's it used to be filled with great doujinshis from great artists, promising game studios, and more. But lately it feels as if there are much much fewer good games, doujinshis, cg's, VNs, everything. And the developers or authors that remain are doing the most vanilla of stuff. In fact, whatever's left is pretty bland. Honestly I feel as if JSK is the last good developer around. Am I the only one that feels this way?

Hell, I could swear it's even harder to find all those good doujinshis and CG's I used to find back in the day. I think I have read capitulation like 15 times in the last couple months only because I can't find nothing else.

I could name a dozen knowledgeable names and they're already off the radar or doing bland stuff.

I'd say it's a combination of Visa/ Mastercard and woke culture. Visa and Mastercard have been making it more and more difficult to monetize h game development. Not only does that hurt current h creators but it also undermines confidence in beginning development out of fear of getting their funding cutoff later on.

Woke culture is also a problem in a more general sense. Where do h creators come from? They come from the pool of people who already have at least basic creation skills. When the pre-2020 batch of h creators started out, they came from a culture that was much more sex positive and where people more openly shared h memes and talked about "Plot" and plot. Nowadays, creators are coming out of a woke enviroment where any wrongthink can get them cancelled, which in turn churns out a much more sex-adverse creator

I'll take this answer as the one who acknowledges the reality. I remember back in the day, anime community knew very well 2D and 3D were different, lolis are meant to be patted, etc and the whole support 2D H and not 3D porn which englobes a lot of stuff (drugs, human trade, cartels, abusiveness, actual rape, blackmail etc etc)
But nowadays it's as if we've gone full circle. They say it's a lot healthier to support 3D porn over 2D porn.

You mixing terms up buddy? Woke culture has nothing to do with conservative puritanical push to remove porn and the idea that human beings have sexual organs. The content liability push (I guess that's what I'd call it) pretty much has to do with investors (i.e. credit card companies threatening patreon/etc) pulling out than anything else. It's especially evident when looking outside of region A content (US/JP) and get into EU or other spaces where liability has only escalated. There's also been a history of "content" "creators" creating a jaded space where showing slow to no progress while promising the world.

I mean, as far as left leaning opinions about porn industry there is a push for content to be consensual and more targets (i.e. back in the heyday of the browser generation things like gay porn was much more difficult to peruse than it is now). But there has been little to no effect on the total amount or decrease variety of porn being produced; if anything there's way more shit and different shit coming out than before, which is also a problem as good content seems to be drowned out.

And on topic of the thread... JSK is just a rock of content since forever. When I think h-game developers they have a consistent quality and their works always integrated the h-mechanics into the gameplay smoothly, I wish there were more developers like them.
