Yeah, for sure. I mean, now you have had the chance to talk and interact with each character at least once, so they all have some sort of opinion of you, so it'll be much easier to make the more personal scenes where you can actually get to know the rest of the cast, besides Kumi. I get you with the movie and I don't want to reveal too much, but they might not be the only ones going and I might've revealed who else is going if you pay really close attention to what characters are saying. Also, I'm wondering, have you only done the early variation of that lunch scene? Because if you go a bit later, the dialogue in that scene changes, revealing some other things that might be open to you after this schoolday ends.


I do think that will be the overall opinion of most people, since most of the people that talk to me prefer story over sex. I"ll keep it in the back of my head and think about it.

Yeah, you have spoken to them but it has still been very brief with most of them so far. But like you said, the intros are out of the way at least. Now things just need to start moving. I'm a patient guy to a point but it needs to feel like things are happening or I put a game down until it is quite a ways in to it to try and keep that interest. I'm not one of those people who play these just for the cuties, they are just a bonus. Not saying your game is lagging, but you know?

I'm not sure, I think I saw both? Unless there are three? When I talk to Emi first the talk about the movie never comes up, so I guess its missable? If you go to the library it is because you go right to class after that so you never talk to the group. I'll have to read it again to see those hints.

A little bit ago I was setting up saves and had a thought. I was thinking that with Akane thing could have easily started with her already. I mean you can help her with English and that could have had her asking to tutor her which in turn would have lead to spending more time alone with her. If that's not a reason to start interacting with one another I don't know what is.

KaeruVN, you may want to add a few variations to the players response to Kumi's question if you let her stay. She says "How did you sleep?" and my response was "Better with you there." and she was all like "What? Why are you telling me to leave?".

Funny you ask that, seems to be a common thing that people want to impregnate my characters.
I might let you get them pregnant and getting that referenced in some way, but I won't go down a full pregnancy theme where their stomach grows and all that stuff. Partly because I don't think pregnancy looks that nice or accurate on Koikatsu models and because the game is set to take place over a month or so.

I'm more than happy to help you, but what exactly do you mean with a full save? Because besides maybe getting some character profiles filled in, there's not much else you'd need a full save for.

Haven't tried your game yet, but drawing parallels from a therapist's playthrough on Slay the Princess, I foresee lot of applied psych in guise of 'mundane' life; weaving a story of 17 students, in tandem, potentially intertwined, conveyed through a game:

Two is a pair, seventeen is a statistic (nevermind whether of different personas, inner monologues or 'spectators').

Then sprinkle a bit of parataxic distortion and voilà, a bipolar cake!
Honestly, I barely managed to scratch the surface of the subject, a testament of work.

I'd love to hear (see?) your thoughts, how'd you decided on theme and medium, does it reflect present product, perhaps peeks in future?
And remember, all interactions ultimately lead to seggs. And some getting stabbed. But let's not go there.

Well, thank you for the kind words, lol. I have never seen that playthrough or game, but I will definitely check that out, because that seems very interesting.

I've talked about this before, not sure if it was on here or just on Discordbut besides finding anime girls in school uniforms cute, I just started because I wanted to practice and work on realistic in my eyes at least depictions of certain mental illnesses and no better way to do this than creating an entire cast of characters living their day to day lives.
That and I've always disliked it when a game forces you to care about a LI even though you don't feel anything but contempt and wish you could tell them to shut up.

Indeed I had a cursory glance on first few pages here to get 'feeling' on the game, that did resonate with me.
A world of self-exploration and curiosity towards others and cute girls, too.

As for bonds and asserting oneself, common theme in games peddling the idea of 'successful' boiling down to being outgoing horndog, leaning more to fantasy/escapism than reality; rejection is either a bad end or segway to hook up with somebody else. Understadable yet frustrating.
In contrast, notion of finding wonder in mundane, appreciating small things in life, whether by design or consequence, is intriguing to me. Such details in world-building are really immersive, imo.

With premise of new teacher in new school, having an option for introduction/guide to the world, outside of student body, could strike a balance between game and story; leaving impactful interactions (or lack thereof) to player's hands. Or, just hints and cues will suffice, too. I'm not your mom.
As per school setting, scoping out range of interactions between students, classes, staff and 3rd party is something you can leverage from.

There're lot of games with overlapping themes, no shame in 'inspiring' from them. And again, thanks for listening (reading?) and good luck!

It's hard to screenshot the process but I found another bug in the second lunch. All of the steps were, I talked to Emi and Mana before sitting down and then went to sit at the table and after Mana comes back Akane starts talking about the movie so I said "Can I come?" and after saying yes when she says "Oh you want to come too, teacher?" it jumps to Mana being excited like the player said they would help her make sandwiches.

Game feels too weird. Conversations make no sense from the beginning who the hell starts asking a girl you just met when their birthday is? When girl comes to you after a major scare and blames herself for her mom's accident there is options that nobody in damn life would say.. Why would i let you stay and other cruel conversations... WTF? I could not get into it at all it was just too weird and felt totally unnatural.

Seriously was this written by AI or someone who never had a real conversation for a first time with someone? In a way it feels way too emo and conversation from an AI perspective that would make absolutely no sense. The conversations don't fit the situation at all.

It is kind of the point in Kaedama that the player is you, so you are in control which things you say or don't say. Yeah, some inputs are completely out of the question and not something any real person should say when they just met someone. That is why they'll react in a confused/shocked or hurt manner. Example, a teacher should never ask one of their students if they are still a virgin, it'll creep them out.
