How do you farm more runes for your new characters? I am just not getting enough runes to have them catch up with the mc in development. I just got the dragon girl so I would like to farm some runes for her but not sure best way of doing so.
The version of deadbeat dungeon in this game is pretty poor. Each floor of it is only good for the first time and only gives a few runes and 1 useful 0 cost medal each time. I would not say the game is hard but not being able to catch up new characters that you would like to use is a downer.
The only way you get runes is by three ways:
1. Finishing an area for the first time.
2. Defeating certain boss monsters (You can verify it by looking at their status page, at the runes panel)
3. Defeating a certain hidden monster( It looks like an overgrown bush,it attacks once, then retreats : Found in some maps)
As you can see,runes are a very restricted resource, that's why its recommended to avoid optional areas until you find most of the characters. (I recommend rushing story quests and conversation events till you recruit a certain angel(or maybe the mermaid, since she's your second healer, though she's slow to move without terrain medals), since most of them afterwards are quite useless to use practically).
I haven't done Deadbeat since its pointless given the game's difficulty(even on Hard), but the important part there is probably the OP medals, not the runes.
