I assume you are in NG+, if so, units will lose the clone status once you get them back again in your team
Right, but I think the answer to his question is "no". Leguna, Lily and SG never have any joining scenes, they are just "magicked" into your roster, just as normal clones magicked until joining scenes... but those three never lose the "clone" tag, if I recall correctly (I'm on a paused 3rd playthrough).

I am trying to clear for the first time, on a NG+ save, Pagan Seal(dungeon). I have Wil/Yuela/Servalwi/Emelita level 99, and I cannot kill more than a few enemy units before I start losing them, and then the dungeon becomes unclearable. All of the enemy units have 150+ hit, and my 20-50 evade is meaningless. Since, enemy has range immunity or projectile defense, range combat ends up killing me.

Not sure how to prepare for this dungeon.

I haven't cleared any level 90 dungeons, and in the NG+ menu I didn't NOT turn on 'enemies scale to my level.'

I can't imagine how this dungeon get's cleared within 7 turns when I can't kill more than 2-3 units before I get toppled over.

Prevails and Cover-type effects. Leguna and Stone Golem, at high level, are great there (as SG has inbuilt Prevail and adjacent Leguna has 100% of time working Cover-type skill for SG). Flighty Guardin of Sharty is another such skill. Will's Cover 3 is pretty good too.

Yuela was on Prevail steroids from one of her dresses, and there's a farmable accessory that gives Prevail to anyone you like (though it might be lowly Prevail I, I don't remember).

Having ult weapons and ult accessories is great too... meaining high damage output and Double Action on every character.

I don't remember any more exact particularities, but that should be the gist of it.

Also, it might be the toughest EX dungeon... one of the others gives access to the Prevail accessory. And ALL of the others give access to a chunk of ult weapons. Consider doing other super dungeons first, they can power up your team.

When I played years ago I had similar experience to yours. Pagan Seal kicked my butt, on my first, "scout" attempth. But during my latest playthrough I cleared it on first or second try, I think (with some saving-loading during the attempts, of course). Did all the bonus conditions too, if by "7 turns" you meant one of them (Double Action on everyone seems critical here). And I play on Hard, with level scailing on.

(I say the last bits not to brag, but to stress just how definitely possible the dungeon is, with right power level of your team)

Soul Shield type skills stack nicely with Prevails, for some absolute damage resists.

And you can farm Str and Vit seeds in a story dungeon with tree-like boss monsters (the dungeon is not repeatable in the same playthrough). Those boss mosters revive unless you defeat them by specific skills with specific characters (but on each wipeout they give loot). That's the way to bluntly increase raw damage or raw defense, even on squishier characters.

Are there any penalties for your characters being defeated? I see a defeat counter in a character's status page and was wondering if there's some sort of bonus if a character is undefeated

No, you can revive them with an item if you want them back in the same level, else they'll come back next level

Does the drop rate increase of Ful's Mill only work on the character who equipped it or is it party wide?

only the person with the item that kills, you can get multiple, dont worry too much. also you dont need to min max stats as you can later on ascend the character to level 1 with their current stats to max all stats

Gotcha dude, thanks! The grind is real on this game, not that I'm complaining

Yeah, no harm in turning them on. If there are weird dungeons that absolutely wreck you on 1st playthrough - that's them, feel free to give them a pass till your 2nd plythrough. Or, maybe you can do them somehow on your 1st.
