Time to gaslight you a little bit, Mav) I think she's one of the least trustworthy characters in the game - she keeps secrets not just from Kane, but from Cole as well. Not to mention her 'Dark side'. Her motives may be good, but a lie is a lie nonetheless. I suppose she's a less evil Veronica, in that sense. Is funny you say that....out of all the people there, Dominique is probably one of the straightest arrows and most trustworthy. (which isn't a high bar admittedly lol)....
He confused me by starting off saying "one of" then pivoted to sayingTime to gaslight you a little bit, Mav) I think she's one of the least trustworthy characters in the game - she keeps secrets not just from Kane, but from Cole as well. With people like my girls Jules and Sam, you know exactly who they are from the first encounter. Now they are the straight arrows who wear their admittedly black hearts on their sleeves, so to speak. And if they lie, it's only to thevictim, err, willingparticipant of their games and with an explicit goal of enchancing the experience for everyone involved. And that's why we love them!
Then at the end he went back to the first thing he said.I'll add, again, knowing all the paths and nuances, she is still the straightest arrow shooter on the island, especially when it comes to Kane. Even our beloved red haired angel (as strongly suggested/hinted at by Tess) will throw us to the wolves to save her ass. Well, Dominique is one of the wolves...and she still straight with us. Unlike every other sister.
Sorry, missed this and noticed no one replied to this:Also, in Episode 4, who is Luke in the flashback?
We're all good, no worries.I apologized to him if their was a misunderstanding and really meant the first thing and not the second. But We'll see if I'm blocked today. He was pretty pissed.
I don't want to reignite this argument again, some things I agree with, some things I don't. For example, I don't think Olivia has lied to Dom Kane in any way (she may be withholding some information as part of "Olivia's agent" theory, but even so, I'm sure Liv did/does not do it out of malice). Of course, I'm talking about good Olivia first of all, as I'm deeply convinced that her canon personality (if I may say so) is exactly good, which is confirmed by all kinds of flashbacks that were shown to us in season 1.Everyone is keeping secrets from each other (like btw Kane, your mum didn't die in a helicopter crash, she faked her death and has been keeping shit from you for the last 21 years).
I said she been lying, misleading and witholding information from Kane for 21 years (as has Olivia...or did she tell the truth of where she was/what she has been doing). Seeing Callista at the water temple happens just before seeing Olivia at the mesopotamian temple (where conveniently, she also tells Kane a mistruth...lol).The one thing that is glaring and that I'd like to point out (perhaps you've misspoken) is that there's no way Callista could have kept her fake death from Kane for 21 years, since she raised him for most of his conscious life, and we have a flashback from 0.8.2, in which the adult Kane communicates with the living Callista...And the fake death of Callista itself was organized less than 3 years (we don't know the exact date of this) before the game events began (Game day 01, in the prison).
Agreed. Calista's conversation seems to be implying events that are to come soon(now that Alex is dead and the Gambit started "they will come soon rest assured") and that Olivia needs to be ready. Which Olivia reassures her.Timeline on when Callista left Olivia on the helicopter with Otto is unsure, but I still believe this happened right after Alexander's death was made public. So she faked her death and led her own son to believe she was dead for 6 months. That she faked her death is fact and that Kane is blissfully unaware mommy is walking around the facility is also fact now (in my mind, given the dialogue of 8.2 where previously I thought Kane may have known given the conversation with Alessandra before going to the yacht with her and Dominique).
Well about Dominique I don't have much objection, yes she hides her dark nature, but it's not a threat to Kane and it's not cheating (I'm talking about the Dom route, what happens on Sub - I have no idea). Especially this her hiding her identity is kind of "Le secret de Polichinelle" and I have no doubt that if Delilah knows about it, so do all the Karlsson sisters.I said she been lying, misleading and witholding information from Kane for 21 years (as has Olivia...or did she tell the truth of where she was/what she has been doing). This all started...and even from other people, the only..single...thing...anyone...here has on Dom is that she is keeping Cole being alive (and subsequently is whereabouts) a secret. That's only...single...thing...anyone has on her to say she isn't trustworthy (towards Kane...not anyone else...forget her cruelty...this started as her being untrustworthy to a player...so Kane in this instance). The only thing anyone has on her....which is a weak counter argument given the shit everyone else has been/ is doing don't you think?
So on this hill I will die with my very original comment.

Correct....and correct. I was not including anyone far below us in the conversation for the obvious reasons, but yes, sweet, sweet Amy. You gotta love her.Of course we all know the one we can trust the most and is the most useful to Kane is Amy
For starters, the very name "Secret Sub" is already misleading..Even without playing this path, I've heard that there are more and more participants every time, and secrecy is out of the question..Of course we all know the one we can trust the most and is the most useful to Kane is Amy. Not a hint of deception and very useful in errr... situations.
Though I am concerned about Alessandra's plans for her on S-sub. That face isn't reassuring...

I’m gonna End Callista so fast in my first Playthrough hehWell about Dominique I don't have much objection, yes she hides her dark nature, but it's not a threat to Kane and it's not cheating (I'm talking about the Dom route, what happens on Sub - I have no idea). Especially this her hiding her identity is kind of "Le secret de Polichinelle" and I have no doubt that if Delilah knows about it, so do all the Karlsson sisters.
For me personally, Dominique has always been someone worth watching and in almost all of my 12 Dom saves, She is one of my Kane's sponsors and the other sponsor is Veronica. At least we can nudge her into the behavior we prefer, we can't radically change her personality, but we can influence her enough to make the ever-swaying scales of good and evil swing a bit towards good... She's an interesting character in that sense, and I like both the evil version of her and the conventionally good one.
As for Callista, well, you know my opinion of her... I'm looking forward to a long awaited heart-to-heart talk where the son can meet his mother and work out a lot of things that are stressing some of us out (not me)...I clearly know that Callista will lay her bones but will do whatever it takes to make Kane succeed in Gambit. And she didn't raise Kane to crawl around on the floor and humiliate himself in front of arrogant sadistic bitches. (imo)
So the least I can do for her is not to let mother down and to show the will and character instilled from childhood to get to the top with minimal help from Callista, who apparently will have a lot of things to do soon, since she is already a 100% member of faction B, responsible for saving people and the Earth.
So hiding her death for 6+ months is, if you will, a lie to save her (imo)...So those months were very important to Callista so that literally everyone would believe that she was gone...These things don't just happen, and I'm sure in time Callista will tell Kane why she was forced to do it.
It's funny to hear this from you, Silver, a man who likes the sub route. Because by holding a grudge against Callista, you are willingly or unwillingly admitting that you don't like Kane's slavish behavior, or am I wrong? But is Callista to blame? I think not. In prison, Kane had every chance to turn the situation either way, and only the players had power over his fate.I’m gonna End Callista so fast in my first Playthrough heh
lol I’m just joking hahaha and no ur fine! It's funny to hear this from you, Silver, a man who likes the sub route. So in my opinion, all of Callista's accusations about sub Kane being enslaved by Karlsson's bitches look like an attempt to absolve herself of all responsibility for what happened to this guy. No offence.
Is that so...Fun fact:
You're forced to reject Dominique's offer of sex and romance because of Junko
In my revo saves, I still fucked Dominique and even started a relationship with her and thereby cheated on Junko (and thus got the JunkoCheat flag)...Really, about the relationship with Domi, I don't remember if I should thank Sancho, who in his mod made it possible to choose (before the scene where Kane and Dominique drink wine) or if I should thank my horny Kane, who didn't miss a single woman's skirt. You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. lol I’m just joking hahaha and no ur fine!I’m not blaming Callista for what the player decides to do with Kane! It’s of course in the hands of the player and how they want their canonical Kane to be!!
But what’s more interesting to me is to see the differences and how Callista/Cole acts with Sub Kane and Dom Kane!! I know for a fact that Miss Tess has mentioned (for sub Kane anyways) that Cole wouldn’t really care since he’s more focused on his responsibilities!
Also side note: funny enough that for Sub Faction C, you can choose to be Under Cynthia… obviously for her to be the one in power but found that.. an interesting tid bit!You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
