Corporate Development Memo 6 April 2025
Hi everyone!
Just doing a bigger chunk of preview pics this week but might shift to slightly less on a normal update in future weeks (5-6 images), being careful about spoilers too!
First of all, I know the markets (stocks/crypto) are taking a beating so I hope everyone out there is ok and of course NFA (not financial advice) but sometimes the best times to buy great future profits is when the "blood/fear" is out there so to speak. So hope you all are ok. I'm not super political at all and feel I can adapt/adjust to anything that happens or anyone in office, but even from a negotiating/psychological tactic I don't quite get the tariffs too well.
The tariffs are likely impacting one small part of my design business soon (helping get furniture and other household items shipped from overseas as part of interior design packages as kind of add ons to the design work itself) and while some clients can easily ignore/absorb costs (the high end/1 percenters) others are very normal people and my business partner and I have decided to just eat some of those extra costs ourselves to help out. Reputation and brand/client loyalty -- even for a small business and in some ways especially so -- is more important than any short-term extra profits. And it's just a moral thing too for me...for a lot of people this is a "dream investment" of their funds and often one of the biggest decisions of their lives to try and make their home/space truly feel theirs. This feeling is so valuable in life if you have it I think...the vibe of truly feeling safe/comfortable in your home.
1) Quick Steam Update -- I think I've got the following five languages now all on board and it's moving along to the process of translating --> Chinese, Russian, Portuguese, French, Spanish. There will be future versions with more languages but these are the first five I wanted with a bigger chunk in a second version (some in there would be Japanese/Korean/Thai/Turkish and a few others) I honestly highly dislike working on any of this because literally zero percent of it is very creative but mostly all technical/formatting stuff but I'd like to give more players the chance to experience the game in their language. This will be difficult given the density of my script so will try very hard to avoid bad AI but more so manual translations by native speakers. More expensive/longer to make but I'm trying to think of the player experience as much as possible. I'm in no rush to get "a" version out but trying to get something out that will be a good experience.
Game Update (8.3.1):
2) I'm really busy with the time of year and now overall market conditions/taxes but managed to do
103 renders this week for a total of 958 renders overall for the game. I am managing to hit a metric of 100ish renders each week ok with the hope that later I can increase speed a bit as things -- hopefully -- calm down. I have been kind of split about evenly on the dom/sub paths I think but I will formally look at this soon (see below)
This is a change from what I thought I would do when I started working on this update but it's naturally played out that way and I let the creative process kind of go how it wants if it "feels" right versus sticking to a set plan on paper. One of the best/worst things about how I work is I can easily deviate from a plan if my gut says to do so -- but overall I think my intuition has been helpful in producing more creative writing/renders. (At least I hope so!)
3) I anticipate to cross over 1,000 renders by the next weekly update. Once this happens, I am likely to take the following week and do a lot of playtesting/notetaking of what I have so far and kind of do the "big picture" overview and see what tweaks/changes I might want to make for the next half of this update. I still anticipate a roughly 2,000ish render update but I want to take this week and really not be in "detail oriented" mode (individual renders/dialogue) and stick with the visionary/big picture process and make sure things are looking good. So I might expect a smaller render count that specific week unless things go really well as my intent that week (week of April 14ish to the next Sunday) and it also crosses Tax Day here so that will be a huge burden off too.

4) Sub Poll - It seems we have a leader and remember I screwed up the duration of the poll. I will end it roughly this Friday night my time instead of the following week like it says (I just added an extra week by accident and Patreon doesn't seem to allow edits of the timeframe itself I tried). That particular scene is a very tough one to do (multiple environments) but I would enjoy doing it to be honest! (I think it's kind of well known now for some that one of my particular sadistic fantasies for me personally is "hunting" along with darts heh)
5) Dom Poll -
This is the week to send to me ideas if you want me to consider anything. Remember to use the females that won and they are the following:
The "dom" female crew with Kane -- Amy, Kelly, Chloe (the trio of Pod 4 not named Angelica)
The "sub" females -- 1) Juliette was the clear winner so she will be in all scenarios
The "sub" females -- 2) Celeste second place so in some but not all scenarios
I am not likely to use three subs given four doms but you never know -- if I do use the third place female (Samantha) it will be not too often but you can share ideas including her if you have an idea!
I am targeting doing this poll near the same time I close the sub poll (roughly this Friday) so this is your chance to send ideas just like the sub poll!
The path I haven't really started at all is the secret sub path (other than some dialogue) and those scenes should start once they kind of get to individual VIP rooms (kind of the next natural step of the dom side)
The sub side is getting close to the "4th game" after some experiences/scenes and this was kind of always the structure (to hit most of this stuff near/after the 1000-1,100 render threshold) so mostly things are tracking pretty normally.
