Not meant to be a boast or anything but I have Persona 3, 4, and 5 under my belt, (including Reload, Golden, and Royal) all three BGs, and every Mass Effect plus the Legendary Edition remaster. So when all of them are mentioned as influences, it just makes me raise an eyebrow. Especially Persona because I hope the only thing pulled from it are the moral issues and not mechanics like timeslots or confidant levels.Because P5 is where the saga became famous and 80% of the players base got into it, although I agree that P4 is better (not counting the graphics).
As for BG, I've only played the classics 1 and 2, I still can't afford a PC gamer to run BG 3 and Mass Effect I've never played, all I know is that it's in space, with dialogues with lots of options, like Fallout or Dragon Age (and Shepard's meme "we'll bang, ok").
The renderings look good too, similar to Tess, did you see those nails?.
I'm sure we'll get more info over time that will answer a bunch of my internal questions but it's mostly just concern about ambition. Same reason I'm always keeping an eye on Ocean's stuff. It's great on paper but what will it look like five years from now when we're sitting on a 0.4 version of XXX Academy. That's not fair to Anais. I also have no real expectations and am just used to be slightly disappointed.
Side note: With nails like that, I hope this Academy is all voice operated cause touch screens and keyboards are fucked.
