It seems to me that Alexander was never such a dominant figure...Rather, he was a broken man who had enough patience and intelligence to seize power, but whose mental health was undermined by the humiliation he suffered at the hands of these mysterious sadistic women.

Yes, it is possible that the loss of his child with Callista was the last straw for him, the trigger that finally drove him mad...but, imo, the foundation for this was laid by those very women. And, by the way, I would like to know how old Alexander was when all this happened...this whole program he participated in (obviously as a slave). Not to mention who these sadistic powerful women really were...Yeah, there is a theory that one of them was Alexander's sister, but we have no proof of that yet.

Is not just the organization, rather the whole setting (at least in the areas that are presented to the players), I still think that picking this AVN expecting a Maledom powerfantasy it was never a great idea.

From a narrative perspective, I agree that his progress is quite noticeable.However, the issue is that Kane's progress from an unkempt convict in prison to a K9 ready to move on to K10->M+ has turned into a 5.5-year wait for players. And for me, this progress seems like an extremely slow burn.

And I'm even leaving aside Tess's hidden desire to protect (?) the game from possible complaints, feeding players “synthetic filler with the taste of remote vanilla domination” instead of a "full-fledged, baked piece of meat with the natural taste of maledom".

What I mean is, if one goes the submissive way the action starts right away and, with minor difference based on choices, never stops (escalating to deeper submission or lingering in-between).

If one goes the dominant way there's action, but also plenty of folks in this thread who complain about how dom Kane is not really dominant, because he doesn;t do this or that, or because he always has other women still guiding/checking him.

I personally don't mind, it makes sense that even if he's K9 he's not allowed to do things on his own, or take relevant decisions.

EDIT: just to make it clear, this is personal opinion, I picked this AVN for the femdom aspect, and I'm happy with it, I enjoyed also the more "maledom" route, not last because I love AVNs with branching paths, but if I was just after "pure maledom" I'd have probably dropped it some updates ago.

Yes, but the problem is that DomKane remains a follower rather than a leader, an independent player, which is what he should be. The game is already at least 60% complete, and Dom Kane is still a slave (yes, formally, but still). Okay, in this update, he will become K10 (and in the best-case scenario, most likely even M+), but we won't know for a long time whether this has changed anything and whether he has really become a player.

So, you know, I'd like to enjoy the fruits of Kane rise a little earlier than at the very end of the game, when he can become Z5...But so far, I see announcements of scenes in which "Dom"Kane again doesn't dominate a damn thing, but, as Harsha correctly put it, sits in a chair and waits for his mommy to come and pick him up.

we're at least a few chapters from ending according to tess and since updates arent chapter sized anymore, thats a ways away. If im not mistaken we still have another update after this one till we're finished with this chapter. I believe next chapter is when Kane starts doing executive/ dom stuff. Yeah, I have read the same thing, so it appears that we are not mistaken. However, according to Harsha (who refers to Tess's words), DomKane will be limited in his dominance over all females, especially the Karlssons.

That is, we may be in for (a piece of shit) so-called "indirect domination", when certain things related to, say, physical punishment such as flogging/whipping, instead of Kane, will be done by the girls who are subordinate to him. And in relation to the Karlsons, there are even more restrictions...

Again, referring to Harsha and his communication with Tess, only Dominique will be whipped (and most likely only because she herself wants to).That is, all this dominant content is highly questionable, and it seems that what I have described may await us.

That's what I meant above btw, I picked this one because I wanted some femdom AVN, with a possible (but not certain) option to also have a revenge/inversion path.

Had I been looking for a proper maledom AVN I'd have most likely skipped it, I don't think (but might have missed it) that we were ever given false expectations about that.

The setting is a femdom setting, the author enjoys femdom, and all complimentary material (chats, walkthroughs, etc...) keeps repeating it, picking the dominant path for Kane doesn't change how the world he lives in is, what matters in this setting is power, which is generally in the hands of women, a man gaining power can exist, but will never be able to overpower someone above him (even less so a woman), unless they allow it (e.g. Dominique).

They do want to create Daddy again, but only on their terms. Alpha male who's full-on aggressive towards everyone else and safely dominant towards the love interest is probably the most common female erotic fiction trope. That's why the dom version is interesting to me - a female fantasy made for male gooners. Ironically the femdom route is generic, whereas maledom scenes (at least the "evil" version) are the ones where the dev seems to be having the most fun writing or composing them.

Also, that personal affinity with the female-centric dom path might be why Tess hates dom fans telling her what to do with the story yet seems to be fine with or even encourage suggestions from the femdom side. At least that's my impression gleaned from the dom vs sub drama episodes that occur every time the dev blows a gasket.
