Feels like a lot of recent negative reviews are just people who don't even bother reading the dev notes and get disappointed accordingly, like some people blaming the game for having too much femdom and less maledom (I mean, duh, this is a femdom-centered game from the start, I only play dom paths but I know what I expect when playing it), and some disliking it for characters having a bit of morals which lead to... not too much (hardcore) femdom?

It really isn't. From the very first episode/chapter/release...it was split pretty evenly and has been ever since. The original story may have been, but for the AVN conversion, a purely femdom game would never have lasted (or made enough money) and she knew this.

One of the reasons it was released here first (and her being very active here)...despite her now hatred of the place, the place that got her known, made it successful and are majority dom players.

Good point, I never play the sub paths so I don't have a clear idea how evenly these two routes are in the game; but from the overall theme of the story and also based on the walkthrough proportions between dom and sub, I'd argue that the sub elements are still more abundant (albeit not by a lot) than the dom one.

Or the dev saying what it is doesn't free them from criticism. Its almost like anyone who has experienced it is allowed to rate it as them see fit. Strange how that works. Just being mad not everyone loves the same thing you love is more absurd than claiming people who don't like a certain type of movie or music are just stupid. You don't get extra points for the trash you make even if you warn people its trash. I mean the writing isn't even that good, the models are old, and ffs Idc how much you are into ball torture, sepsis is a thing.

Players are absolutely free to dislike the writing, models, or kink themes of the game; it's far from perfect, and some of its aspects also irk me. I'm only pointing out that some criticisms are based on expectations the game never promised to meet, that's not calling them stupid. Critique is always fair, but criticizing a femdom-focused, dystopian game with evil elements for being too femdom and evil isn't a very meaningful feedback. There’s a difference between ‘this isn’t for me’ and ‘this is objectively the worst porn game because it isn’t what I wanted.’

I agree some of the reviews are outright wrong about this game. I don't think they even cared for story or characters. But, you saying that this game is never for hardcore doms and only for hardcore subs is not true in earlier days. But, you are right ofcourse that's how it is now lol.

I mostly just cared about that Asian girl that Seth gets.. like, to me that was more NTR than anything! :)
Still a great game, even if Tess didn't open up her much as an "LI" for the MC. But fucking Seth!!

Also reviews are like that nowadays everywhere, and here too. Review manipulation can also happen to some extent but I think F95 tries to stop it as much as they can.
People are passionate about it, and when they see the potential missed (for them, subjectively) they likely feel more frustrated.

Still 4½ stars in general feels very accurate, at least for me.

im surprised we don't have anybody talking about the game yet. lolz
I'm not surprised at all. Tess ruined that atmosphere, that synergy between the players and the dev...gone are the days when we followed her every post related to the plot, when we participated in joint discussions with her in this thread and later in her Discord, discussing the plot and characters or offering our own ideas... All of that is gone now, and the magic of the game's charm has disappeared too.

So if her spies, who traditionally continue to monitor this thread, are sitting here waiting for us to start discussing the new test update, they're in for a disappointment...they'll have to wait another week or two.:coffee:

Test release that just came out, I doubt most on here have played through it. I know I haven't. Her patrons discuss things on patron exclusive channels in her discord and not on here, tmk.

The vast, vast, vast majority of people playing the game don't care to obsess over it on a pirate porn forum. Only a handful of vocal people would do that. I'm sure the vocal people will discuss it after they play the final release, probably in a week or two.

Perhaps the reason why "Tess ruined that atmosphere" was because she puts a lot of hard work into this game and so that she can keep her supporters happy she allows them the privilege of testing the game and getting access to the game before those who don't pay for it, so that she can release a more polished final version only for the test version to be released on here. Her weekly updates on patreon get released on here also. I as one of her mid tier supporters feel cheated that the game and the weekly updates have been released on here.

Until now I couldn't understand why dev's disliked this site because I thought that by games being published on here would garner more support for the dev's, It's how I decide which dev's to support.
When accessing the games on here I try and wait a week or so before playing a latest release of a game so I at least know that their supporters are getting what they paid for.

What I "like" about you, buddy, is that every time you're caught broadcasting your total incompetence or untruths, you hide behind the universal and ridiculous excuse that “I don't understand your relationship, this topic, or anything else,” like a mischievous kitten. At times like these, I always wanted to ask you, why the hell are you writing nonsense if you don't understand a damn thing about it, but apparently, my inner sense of politeness prevented me from doing so every time.:coffee:

As for "exclusive channels on Discord", no, the discussion of the game takes place in regular channels that are accessible to everyone. But there is no discussion as such, since her Discord is almost a dead place with a handful of obedient hamsters agreeing with her 24/7. There is no open and honest discussion there, and I think that's why Tess (or her spies) continues to watch this thread, because only here will she see quality and unbiased feedback, which her sub hamsters on Discord cannot give her.

Timestamps, one of my fav game update just got released today. It have bugs as it is released without testing, patches are releasing. But why I'm saying all these to you? Because, even though it is bugged version, although devs are updating constant patches.. There is a huge load of fan traffic is going on in that game page. And half of them are bought game on steam. Why they are talking here than elsewhere? Even the dev is Paritcipating in conversation. Why? Because that's how the relationship between devs and fans work. F95 is the reason for many devs to get their income traffic. It's how I got to know Karlsson's Gambit. It's how I supported her in patreon until my recent ban.

Even tess knows the value of f95 (if you want proofs, just go to first page of this game thread and go over some pages.)

Tess banned me and sent me away from her server. But, I'm here and still talking about game and all.. Thanks to f95.

I would love to talk to you face to face in person. There's a lot I'd say and do in such a case. But alas, you get to hide behind a keyboard, posting thousands of posts shamelessly on a pirate porn forum, lacking all self awareness and shame because you've never had any social interactions. It's plain and clear as day to anyone, even if you think nobody notices it. So brag about how polite and smart you think you are, because everyone else has better things to do than argue with you and fight with you.

My post was innocuous but you still got triggered and whined. Fucking unbelievable.

What's wrong with publishing developer diaries here? You wanted exclusivity, fine, you have all kinds of patreon polls and dozens of bonus renders that Tess does for both Dom and sub patrons. And which, BTW, no one in this thread is publishing.. So I don't understand why you feel cheated.
Until now I couldn't understand why dev's disliked this site because I thought that by games being published on here would garner more support for the dev's, It's how I decide which dev's to support.
Not all devs are so categorical, and not all of them dislike our forum. The smarter ones understand perfectly well that their popularity on f95 and openness towards players will eventually bear fruit in the form of new patrons and a loyal audience.

By the way, this forum played a significant role in bringing Tess game its initial fame. She used to visit here very often, regularly communicating with players, discussing the game, and answering questions. But to understand how she went from “loving this forum to hating it,” you'll have to read all the pages of this thread.

But in short, according to her version, she was allegedly harassed here by certain unstable individuals who sent her private messages with photos of their dicks and wrote all kinds of nasty things...I don't know if this is true or not, but this is what she wrote here (and later on Discord) about the reasons for her departure from here...And no, don't ask me why she couldn't just block them, coz the volume of blacklist = 1,000 people, and it's unlikely that she had so many sick perverts writing to her that she didn't have enough space, lol.
