Well, I can guess where this hatred comes from. I suppose, It's the same story as with Harsha, who dove into a vat of slop (called sub route), then emerged from it in anger, and now naturally wants to punish all these sadistic bitches..

But since I can't stand femdom, maybe that's what helped me. I just didn't dive into that vat, immediately starting to play the Dom route, and therefore I don't have a pronounced hatred for any characters, be it the Karlssons sisters or girls like Dr. Chastain...simply because on my journey to the top, none of them did anything bad to my DomКаne.
Not to be confrontational, but you guessed incorrectly this time. In no way do I enjoy femdom; I'm not even curious about it.

Oh, trust me, I NEVER did anything on the sub or (worse yet) secret sub routes. I couldn't stomach an MC behaving that way and reading about how he enjoyed it. I understand that some folks are into that and it works for them (ok; you do you) but not for me.

I see the entire system as needlessly corrupt (dystopian or not) and wanted to see an MC who remained apart from the corruptors. Watching what they do to people (while on the dom path) was enough to convince me that I would influence the MC as much as possible to avoid them and to avoid doing what they want unless the alternative badly penalized the MC.

I have a problem with people who set up a bad situation then expect me (as the player) to help them benefit from the situation they created. But that's just me. I was a huge fan of the Lone Ranger ending (that was cancelled) for this reason. But, not to be.

Often I make choices for the MC that are not the best available choices (from the MC's perspective) just because I can see which choice the Karlssons want. Yes, it's cutting off my nose to spite my face, but it's a game and that's how I play it. If you want a good laugh, refuse to do anything Kitty wants you to do and watch the way she pouts; I love the way the developer shows that. Erica has a near-meltdown when you refuse her, too; I enjoy those moments in the game. I often make the decisions I do just to piss them off. To me, that's the epitome of dominance but clearly the developer sees things differently.

There's always the revolution, I suppose.

Anybody else feels like the writing in later episodes is very different from the writing in the beginning? At the start of the game on my first blind dom playthrough I tried to play Kane as cunning and calculating as possible. In the very early game in dialogs with Elena, Kitty and Kyomi for example, Kane could simply give answers that seemed to be that. But later on it's more like he just wants to get his dick wet ;) or being just as cruel as the rest of the cast. I can't really put my finger on it and maybe it's just a feeling but he seems less intelligent in the later parts of the game. After playing sub path first, I thought it would be intresting to try to beat all the schemers at their own game.

And something completly different: Anybody else kinda dislikes that there are so much uninformed decisions in this game? Very often I just had to open the walkthrough to get specific outcomes because I simply don't know how a girl likes her nipples licked or which food is safe to eat. This is even more prominent on the sub path especially during the game show. I just think sometimes it could be better with less decisions/forking because it just feels like a dice roll, without rolling any dices . This does not break the game of course, just feels a little bit unsatisfying.
Just my opinion but even on the dom route, the game has a heavy corruption theme. On the dom path, the easiest way to succeed in the Karlsson machine is to be just as deviant as they are. They want you to validate their cruelty as being acceptable. Depending upon your ethics, if you're on the dom path and you want to advance in rank it can be a struggle to decide whether to compromise your principles of right and wrong to gain enough points or flags to advance. That aspect of the game is interesting to me.

As for the uninformed decisions, you have to pay attention throughout the game. Often you'll see or hear things that you'll need to know later because they help you understand the way a Karlsson might think; this helps you with the choices. Or, you can always use save points. As far as how to win at the sub show, I have no idea because I won't play as a sub and on the dom path I declined to support Kitty in running the game show (because I always tell Kitty, "no"). Refusing to support the game show actually helps you as a dom on Veronica's path (she doesn't like the idea, either); clearly it hurts you with Alessandra and Juliette because they want you to be cruel like they are. For Dominique and Olivia, I think it depends upon whether they are running as good or evil. For most of the female NPCs, just pick the cruelest option available and they will like it.

From what I recall you're given dialog options to express that you don't enjoy the crap which is then reflected in Kane's inner thoughts.
But that can be held against you as the player if you verbalize them. At least on the dom route... (again; no sub for me).

Well, Tess and her minions said torture on males is okay and encouraged by patreon censorship. So, tess will plan even more brutal content for femdom, but a more careful, light, indirect maledom for dom paths.

Yet games like desert stalker don't give a damn about it and still thriving on patreon. So, I wonder if tess is really honest about dom path plans?
I have no idea what patreon says for rules but some games make Karlsson's Gambit look like playground stuff; even Steam allows misandry games so... ...again, I just see it as a double-standard. Not many seem to care so I guess it doesn't matter. All these games are about individual choices and taste so...

From what I recall you're given dialog options to express that you don't enjoy the crap which is then reflected in Kane's inner thoughts.
That may be (no idea; won't play as a sub) but if that's true, that goes against the developer's statements that everything that happens to Kane is consensual. From the few pictures I saw, he didn't appear to be enjoying being pegged or having dildoes shoved down his throat (again, if that's your thing, you do you).

Absolutely.

This update was especially bad. I think it's fucking crazy for an alien to just randomly show up when the story is 70% finished. It feels so out of place. People were right when they said TQA was going to ruin KG. In 8.2 I had thought that the character Star wasn't actually real - just Veronica letting her imagination go rampant, but in 8.3 the character starts going on about eyes like the alien in TQA teaser did. And the excuse that the alien has for showing up is bizarre. One person (I assume it's Astrid) made this alien decide that the planet was worth saving. There are other people like Astrid. For example, Zoe was a sweet little girl that didn't want to hurt anyone but because her older sister wasn't Veronica, she was thrown into some tentacle monster to be eaten and digested. I hate all the characters at this point, including the morally righteous ones.

It feels like Kane's path is getting to the point where it's set in stone before he even has a clue what's going on. He's becoming a pretty lame protagonist that does nothing except what he's told to do. It's not exactly what people had imagined the dom path would be...

And yes, some of the tests are stupid. You really need to use the walkthrough or URM so you can figure out how Claudia likes her tits to be licked.

Yeah no if there decisions are hard but there are good clues that is absolutly ok. That feels just like a riddle. But very often, especially on sub route you get basically no information at all. Maybe I was sometime just not paying enough attention that's why I asked if anybody else feels like this :).

Wait ... the developer claims that the sub path is consensual? For real? How? The whole premise of the game is that he is forced into the situation he is in. I mean if there would be a Far Cry ending like: Ok Kane, here it is, you can particiapte in this brutal game, but if you succed you can become super powerful and if you fail you will be a slave or you can simply go to this door and you are free --> Credits. Then at least participating would be his decision .
And yeah the pegging is basically always super rough, like dry insert. Not really easy to enjoy that .

But you make an intresting point. I suppose sub Kane is actually meant to enjoy being a sub to some degree. But his inner monologe is not really reflecting this very often. Even though sometimes there are decisions that make you think he actually wants to submit and serve, but even then he only seems to enjoy the more gentle stuff. And very often the decision of which kink you want to see is not a decision made by Kane but a decision made by the dommes. So yes it is the player who decides what happens. But the player is controlling more than just Kane, and Kane can't really decide what happens to him.

Absolutely.

The Alien stuff really confused me ... the walkthrough also claims that the decision you make in the Olivia flashback in the old temple is actually heavily connected to some ancient deitys... All of this reminds me of Fahrenheit, one of the old Quantic Dream games if anybody here remembers that. The story there started out as a psychological thriller but then there were ancient atzec gods and the MC was going full super saiyan. Kinda ruined the story for me back then. So not sure how I feel about this here. I never was the biggest fan of more "grounded" stories going all in on supernatural stuff. But maybe all of this is used for a gigantic deus ex machina which actually changes the world to be a better place. Like a good/sub Kane who doesn't really attaches himself to anyone gets the option to free him and his friends and brings down the companys with gigantic ancient goddess of good powers :ROFLMAO:. Maybe even selfless sacrifices himself to save others, like one of the decisions in the flashback.

And about the person the alien was talking about. Is Astrid actually good? She always giving me kind of creepy vibes, can't put my finger on it but I don't trust her. Like yes she seems much nicer then her sisters, which isn't that hard :ROFLMAO:, but she still uses her familys ressources trying to save herself, even though she knows how these ressources and most of the test subjects are gathered. I know that she is involved in the revolution. But even the revolution seems like let's try to be a little bit better, but let's make sure that we still are on top afterwards, because those peasants can't rule themselves.
My first playthrough was super good sub Kane, so I actually hoped the alien meant him, giving him some agency back and rewarding him for always trying to be good in an extremly hopeless situation.

Another question: My first impression from starting the game was there are basically 4 main forks with good/evil - sub/dom. But then Olivia basically gets good/evil dom/sub too, which would make it like a lot of combinations ... and from my playthroughs the good/evil for Kane is kinda pointless on sub route ... you have basically no agency, so it doesn't seem to matter if you are good or evil. And for Olivia dom/sub seems pointless on sub route too. Olivia goes all in on domming sub Kane and tell him he is just a slave. So I understand that on dom path she can be under Kane in the end, but it doesnt change her personality after the first few episodes for sub path - correct me if I am wrong here. Maybe those stats have a big impact in the endings. But if the way to the end is basically the same, it would have been easier to just let us have a big decision in the end.

The path and ethos you choose will make you more desirable to some women and less desirable to others. Dominique, for example, wants a strong man for a mate. You need to match her (good-good or evil-evil), too. So she won't romance a sub Kane (not a strong man). If you're good, forget anything with Juliette. Things like that...

Yeah of course, I get that. I meant for sub path it doesn't make much difference if you are good or evil. If you want to get closer to any of the women, you simply have to follow special routes. For example to get closer to Dominique it is good be Yunkos pet, to get closer to Veronica you have to save Maria etc.. But to be that it doesn't really matter if you are good or evil. Most of the time it is just accept everything one of them proposes and you get closer to them.
And I think there is a Dominique sub romance route, I think there is one for most of the sisters, maybe not Allessandra I think hers is secret sub. Even though I am not sure how a sub romance will work in the context of the game, but from the walkthrough it seems that sub Kane can get promoted to K5 after the game show, but I suppose he will still be a sub afterwards, but in a more gentle way. So maybe Kane can get into some lovey dovey Mistress/Slave relationships, where only the romanced woman is allowed to dominate him ;).

Which statements? Gun to the head hardly qualifies as "consent". No murder in the game either then, it's all just assisted euthanasia.

From what I recall you get options to avoid all the more extreme pegging, sucking dildos, pee, cum eating, poop etc stuff on the sub path, at least during the first stretch of the K4 rank that I saw (you can get promoted from there to k5+ dom path for role reversal which makes for the more interesting story and motivation). It's just a lot of pussy licking, boot/foot licking, some getting whipped, cock caged, crawling on all fours and getting your buttcheek tattooed/branded.
For people who are into either straight up masochism/submission or sadism/domination then the sub/dom paths might both work as basic wish fulfillment porn, no different from harem paths for fans of that. If you're neither into masochism/submission nor sadism/domination then the sub path is the more exciting of the 2 as you're truly afraid for your life throughout the experience, closer to living on a knife's edge with the notion that every decision might seal your fate (and you barely feel in control in the dom path anyway). It felt like the more fullfledged path of the 2 just like NTS unfortunately is often the fuller more developed path in 3dcg 3-path games (loyal/harem vs nts vs ntr).

I def wouldnt call her cowardly for standing up to her father knowing the consequences, I'll give you suicidal though
not the standing up to her father part no,but choosing sit on the sidelines due to sickness isn't exactly brave ether.
now she's doing things on from her place. so its not like she isn't completely out off the family stuff.
also its pretty fair to call her good compared to her sisters.

Yeah I agree she seems good compared to her Sisters. But I don't know she is a Karlsson. And the game makes it very clear that all of them are cruel and power hungry to some extent, like it is in their genetics. Dominique also wants to improve the conditions of her workers, but she still enjoys torturing Kwame's wife brutally. Even Olivia is kind of corrupted to power in an instant, even if you play her good, she still very much enjoys her new life on the back of others. I just think she still might have her own agenda like they all do. So I just have the gut feeling that there is more to her, than just being the good one.

I interpret that Alexander at some point did understand that he has fallen too far and wanted an heir with Callista to counter his own veil nature and that is the whole idea for the gambit. But this is just my interpretation and maybe he just was a crazy fuck that wanted an even more evil heir with their combined genetics .

After this update, I get a feeling Kane won't make it to the end. I only play dom route, cannot speak for the subplayers, but won't say why because I won't spoil it for those who have not played the test verson.

Please don't bother asking for links for the final verson when it comes out, I'm sick of the hassle I get when I do post links here, not just for this game but for other games. People are begging for links when i do post, the same people dog pile on me. i sick and tired of 2-face cunts on this site.

it most definitely has to do with being a karlson, but not genetics, there is no gene for "evil" or being a "criminal".
culture however is something that fits.
a lot off heinous stuff is just normal for them, its how they grew up,were taught etc. plus as i mentioned before the world setting plays a part,i think its fair to say that that has pushed the "morality scale" to the darker side somewhat.

she could just be the most empathetic off the karslon daughters, thus wanting to distance herself from that, and empathy is something most would consider a good or moral trait.
but growing up in the karlson household, isn't something that a person would escape without being influenced in some way.

Seems like Alexander's true aim is evil heir only. kane is not the heir. But, he is destined to the father of evil heir. Imagine the son of Kane & Juliette/DemonessOlivia/EvilDominique of evil dom path ending? Callista & Veronica wants to reverse engineer and allow the gambit towards "good" ending.

But, according to Veronica, World going to end in max 50 years and Island4 Space Station is going to be new home of humans. So, the gambit/revolution won't matter it anyway. This game is literally punishing us for choosing other routes than Island4 faction.

Hey, I completely agree that there is no gene for evil in real life. But in fiction this can be used as a trope. And it would explain why Olivia is so good adapting to her new role. And even if it isn't the case it could still be what Alexander thought, even if it is bullshit.

Ok but why is the gambit even needed after Alexanders death? Veronica blackmailed her father by threatening to bring down the system by herself. If she actually wanted change, could she just not push her sisters out of power if she is able to deactivate the shock chips and therefore end the rule of the Karlssons in an instant? I know she always says she doesn't want the power to herself, but following this overcomplicated plan with like a thousand variables seems very strange for a scientific/no bullshit mind like Veronicas. It seems more like she simply doesn't really care about anything other than the island. Well maybe this changes after Kane saves Maria.

Edit: Ahh actually punishing for choosing any other faction than the island could actually be interesting. It is the most "good" faction after all. And most of the time the game actually rewards the player for being as evil as possible. So this could actually be a nice twist. Yes you get instant reward by being an asshole, but you loose everything in the end against you will have to work harder for something good to happen, but it is worth it in the end.
