well, isn't that because in such a context a "corrupt" male is considered successful while a "corrupt" female is considered a slut? like it's stereotypical. it's an achievment if the male protagonist bangs a ton of girls but if the female one does the same with men, she must be ashamed of her actions. have you ever seen a harem hentai or H-game with a female protagonist owning said harem? I never found any. and even if you find anything of that genre it's extremely rare. we don't expect women to have harems. we have some games about heroines finding new love in the course of the game, but generally it leans towards extreme ends in terms of endings.
it's for sure based on culture and beliefs, but there's no doubt about it being the norm in porn industry:

Obviously this is a sex game so you want to get as much sex content as possible, but this wouldn't really be very realistic. I doubt you'd find many men who would honestly say "wow, I'm so glad you had sex with all of those other men instead of saving yourself for me", though I'm sure you could find a handful.
I'd be all for a purity/resistance route of the game which upon completion rewarded the player with such an ending though, that could be very sweet and maybe even worth the time spent playing. It wouldn't have to be void of all lewd content either, she could find alternative outlets to stave off the urge to fuck all the hungry men she's forced to deal with on a daily basis. A willpower stat could be very useful as a gameplay element here.
I fully agree that it's silly to make a porn game and punish the player for playing it for what it is, but I'm not sure I agree with that last part. It is just a game after all, and while an entertaining way to pass the time, I'm not sure the sort of behavior featured in say, this game, should be celebrated or encouraged lmao. But it probably shouldn't be punished within the game either (unless that's the entire point/fetish of the game).
Not being punished is not necessarily the same as being rewarded though, and if a happy ending with the King (or whatever his position, I forget now) were to exist, it would be pretty pointless to have it granted no matter what Karryn did throughout the game. Especially since Karryn's early decisions change how she feels about the King when his letters arrive as the game progresses.

You people are complaining about how when a man in these types of games gets to bang a lot he gets the good ending but when it happens to a woman she doesn't and few of you attribute this to misoginy

The reason for the bad or good ending is dependant on how the corruption works in game
Most games the sex for the girl happens when she loses, therefore corruption gain and successive sluttification is obviously not a reward (for us the player it might be but nit for the character)
Therefore it is obvious that you get the bad ending when you keep losing and max corruption
The same thing, you will find happens to male characters where sex happens when they lose a fight or something
Here they often get a bad ending where they are reverse raped for eternity
The reason why most games where a man is the main character have him get the good ending even while banging everybody is because the sex is the reward for doing something
And even then, there are games in which if you do it too much or do not choose one girl at the end, you get the game over
And you not finding games in which the non pure run is rewarded just means that you haven't played enough of these games

Very well said. I think the misogyny part of this fetish can always be avoided through the meticulous design of the game mechanics.
Transforming into a sex deviant and exploit it as an advantage is one thing, reducing oneself into a doormat is another thing. I can't really tell which category this game falls into? Perhaps I will know once the ending is released?

You can't tell? In this rpg the MC is not a blank page. Karryn is a slut waiting to find out her kinks. The story puts her in the situation where she can hardly avoid doing so. The gameplay is You, the player trying to guide her in the way you want to go with her. Nowhere does she get shamed for any of it.
I am not sure about other routes but if you are mindful about stats, sex gives her a second way to deal with pretty much anything.
I don't see the need of bringing real life cancer here. This is a game, have fun with it or don't! The fact that it can be modded ensures that it can fit anyone's taste even better with a bit of work and that is fucking great.

Did Karryn lose her combat grunts after the J update or did I get a corrupted/problematic install? Could've sworn she made those grunts during her attacks in previous versions. Tried searching the thread for any info but it's been a while since I've visited and haven't turned out anything.

Once you start to pile up passives and letting the inmates become stronger (by edicts, by passing days, etc.), defeating them become quite tricky, you need to use instant skills and have high agility to act first. Try mixing accessories and titles.
