"Probably" that's the key word here. Why does this game require multiple playthroughs to beat, especially when you're not even playing on the hardest difficulty? And more importantly, why is that the case in an adult game, where the main appeal for most players is the adult content? It's not even a roguelike or roguelite, which would normally justify repeat playthroughs.

I've already answered this, it was a rhetorical question, but I'll spell it out again: because the developer wants players to replay it. The intent is to artificially extend the game's length.

There are hidden and unexplained mechanics(like sex skills scaling with Dexterity), passives that stay hidden until unlocked with no in-game way to track or plan around them, vague edict descriptions(with unhelpful up/down arrows), trap edicts that increase control even though lower control gives you more income(with low order), and misleading tutorials(the rock-paper-scissors system is introduced in a way that actively sabotages new players' builds and only gets clarified after you lose).

On top of that, there are missing core elements you'd expect in any turn-based strategy game, like turn order display or visible numeric values for damage, health, or skills.

All of this is clearly designed to push the player into making mistakes and losing, just to force another restart. It's not about challenge, it's about padding.

This isn't what I'd call "well-balanced". The only way I could see it that way is if I judged it not as an adult game, but as a roguelite with a deliberately steep learning curve, say, like a pure Karryn run focused on mechanics rather than adult content. But even by that standard, it still falls short of actual roguelite benchmarks like Dead Cells or Hades, both of which offer better designed systems and a more rewarding experience.
I guess this is just a matter of taste. I don't want to see all that stuff. I like that the game keeps it behind the scenes.

It's like Dark Souls or Elden Ring: the details of the stats and mechanical interactions aren't explained, and you can either roll with it and get immersed in the game, or open the wiki on another screen and use a spreadsheet to optimize your build.

I do the former, not the latter. I play on easy, where the mechanics don't really matter, or maybe I play on medium and accept that sometimes my playthrough will get tanked. I see a playthrough getting tanked occasionally as part of the setting, part of the emergent storytelling of the game. You see a side of the story - not to mention some h-scenes I'm sure the devs worked hard on - that you wouldn't see if you had the perfect toolset to win every time right from opening the game. With that in mind even the rock-paper-scissors misdirect seems justifiable, even though it was super annoying.

Having the detailed mechanics exposed wouldn't make the game better for me, it would be annoying. More numbers to read, more decisions to make based on game logic instead of porn logic.

How to get defeat scenes to end? Ex. washroom scene. Been watching scene for what feels like an hour, enemies take forever to reach limit and when they do they are immediately replaced by others, so the scene never ends

There's an option to skip the defeat scene after Karryn is out of energy and stamina, it's somewhere in the options (standard options, not mods)

There is not a single mechanic in this game that has straight-up fucked me more than the lack of information on when Karryn is actually going to get her turn, and how different skills impact turn order (if they even do, and the fact I have absolutely no idea is a problem in and of itself). There is nothing more infuriating than being in a relatively rough situation, and thinking "It's fine, I've been moving first every turn this whole fight, I'll just heal real quick." only to inexplicably be placed dead last in the turn order with absolutely no warning, quite literally getting Karryn fucked through absolutely no fault of your own.

Could you play better? Sure, you could argue that most times you can absolutely just prevent situations where this genuinely causes you any noteworthy issues. Can you plan for it? Fuck no. The game gives you no way to predict turn order changes, so you have no reason to plan for turn order changes since you can't do anything about it even if you tried. That mechanic especially kinda fucking blows.

If you have fluid turn order mechanics, then the player needs some way of knowing how the tide of battle is changing in order to plan and play around said changes. Being completely unable to do so just makes the combat needlessly luck based.
I don't think, knowing the turn order would help.

You can easily get yanfly's turn order display plugin, tweak it a bit to fit in the game. I've tested it and it did not change anything. I know who's turn it is and may decide to defend, but my agility doesn't quite change as frequently to change my position. I'll roughly be at the same place next turn... At some point, you kinda ignore that turn order and attack to make some progress... The only slight benefit you get out of it is to know which enemies to focus on to prevent some of their turns if there's no overblown protection, and you're sure to one shot them to be a little bit more efficient...overall however not much of a difference that blows your socks away like it appears to be.

Knowing the Turn order does absolutely nothing if you don't know what action they make!

Game is for me system wise like Pokémon. There is enough depth to overcomplicate things, but you can also trivialize it.
Just level up higher than enemies or, to be more precise, create a gap in your favor. Could be by leveling higher than them, or simply find ways to reduce their lvl/stats.

In Pokémon you can create that difference without changing your level by visiting early areas...not quite helpful there, but in KP you can mingle with order tier to keep enemies weak, and keep your required stats at a minimum.

The game really has a lot of mechanics that it doesn't explain, but not all are equally impactful. Most are just smoke and mirrors.

Yeah, I'll share my mods a bit later.

P.S. First, download the 'mods' folder — it's enough to copy it with replacement over your own.
Then the 'img' folder — delete yours and insert mine. (Why? You could copy with replacement, but it would take a long time; it's much easier and faster to just delete your folder and paste mine.)
All mods are the latest versions and fully working. Adding other mods, etc., is not guaranteed to work.
A total of 19 mods are installed.

I don't know how that plugin works, but what I was thinking was something along the lines of the old Final Fantasy 10 turn order display, which shows the turn order for up to several turns, and gives a preview of what changes will take place before you lock in your turn. Say Karryn would be first in the turn order next turn, then you choose, I dunno, Cleave. When you highlight Cleave, the game shows you that if you select Cleave, Karryn's turn will be knocked down to third next turn. Stuff like that would be incredibly helpful whether you know what the enemies are going to do or not.

As for knowing what action the enemies take, it's not an exact science, but you can absolutely predict their actions to a limited degree just based off of their portraits. If a character is in a neutral state, they're going to be more unpredictable. If they're blushing (aroused), then they're very likely to try to grope, strip, or fuck Karryn. If they're pissed off, they're pretty much guaranteed to attack her. Combine this information with a few fairly easy to obtain abilities like Taunt and Cock Stare, you can pretty easily manipulate enemy actions with the barest amount of luck. The problem being that without knowing the turn order, it's difficult to actually capitalize on that, so there's not much point. Your best bet in most fights kinda feels like "just kill them before they can cause problems" for most casual players, so I definitely agree with you on that point at least.

The game really has a lot of mechanics that it doesn't explain, but not all are equally impactful. Most are just smoke and mirrors.
I'd imagine that probably is the case, but I couldn't say because the game obfuscates the mechanics, so I have no idea what is or isn't important because I don't even know what the mechanics DO. If they were adequately explained, then I could probably just agree with you here, but since I don't know what mechanics do what and how or why they do it, I can neither agree nor disagree because I don't have enough info. If I knew what the turn order was, and it still didn't help the combat feel any less like a crapshoot, then I would agree that it doesn't matter. As it stands I would prefer to have that info than not, because that's just one less thing making the game obtuse.

You can disable the tan skin tone from the main menu by navigating to:
Settings > Mods > Karryn Slutty > Cosmetics > Skin Tone > [PREVIEW] Tan Skin
Thank you very much my man, weird thing tho, Goblins can't manage to undress Karryn, even in 40 minutes, got rid of all the upgrades that enhance it and it didn't help at all
As well as all the Goblins that show up in the reception are not perverts, DL'd the version without your personal adjustments

I'm not aware of any mod included in my pre-modded upload that alters the chances of visitors being perverts during the receptionist sidejob. While KP Mod does have an option for this, it should default to the game's vanilla values. Still, I recommend checking the mod settings to be sure.

As for the issue with clothes not being damaged: try deleting the KP Deviancy mod, or switch to the default cup size/outfit to rule out any potential conflicts caused by skin mods.

Out of curiosity, is there any way to reset edicts? Ideally I would like the ability to deactivate or reset the edicts that are you can only have one of, specifically the "how to deal with orcs/goblins/nerds/etc." edicts. If there's some way to do it with one of the mods, or the cheat menu or something, that would be awesome.

RJ Cheat Menu appears to include an option for resetting edicts, but I can't confirm whether it actually works, as I haven't tested it myself.

Totally missed that part of the cheat menu, I don't usually fuck around with game flags since I don't really know what I'm doing. Thanks.
It appears to work, but it's slightly janky. If you toggle a switch for an edict off, the game seems to acknowledge it, but the edicts menu doesn't. Turned off the "Fix Bar" edict as a test, which did indeed send the bar into disrepair, but the "Repair Bar" edict on the edicts menu remained active, and all the edicts that relied on it said it was still active, so that's a little odd.

Has anyone tried this AI before? Honestly, it made me chuckle, the way it describes what it would do to Karryn is so explicit and vulgar, it comes off like a hormone fueled teenager trying way too hard to sound edgy.

I've never seen guards or thugs initiate anal sex, I'm not even sure they're capable of it (and to be clear, I'm referring to initiating the act, not simply joining an existing pose). I can't confirm without checking the game files, which I'm unable to do at the moment.

If you're trying to trigger anal sex, I recommend fighting against slimes, hobos, or werewolves. During battle, make sure Karryn is fully naked and raise both her cock desire and ass desire above 100 (note that these thresholds can be influenced by accessories).

EDIT: The early unlocked skills and debug skills you're seeing come from a feature of the Karryn Babe mod. I've already discussed this and provided instructions on how to disable that specific feature, check the last few pages for reference.
Some guards will intitiate anal sex, I just don't remember which subtype prefers anal play. A guard will go for anal during Karryn's Office defeat scene, if all anal criteria are met (cock and ass desires).

Thugs go for pussy and butt slaps.

Yup. Edict menu doesn't change. Turned "Anti-Goblin Squads" edict off, and turned "Bait Goblins" edict on, and even after a full reset "Anti-Goblin Squads" is still on in the edict menu, and "Bait Goblins" is off, but that seems to only be true in the edict menu from my testing with more visible edict changes (mainly repairing rooms and whatnot). Edict changes through the cheat menu just don't seem to register in the edict menu.
