quite possibly my favorite VN, i played through every route and every option never skipping a word.
i grew so fond of the characters and out of all of then Rin was my favorite not only for the love seen but the story and trail Rin and MC go through stuck with me

i just played the Hanako Ikezawa route and all i can say now is that i am incredibly depressed now... while going through this i kept on thinking how this girl is almost identical to my ex, the only difference was that instead of physical scares it was more mental. She hide from others, she pushed people away, never talked, never used her phone and always tried to say and do things to push me away when she was depressed. alot of the scenes that happened between them felt close to what i experienced. the reason i am depressed is that like in this game in where u can make a wrong decision i did the wrong decision they even provided. i thought that because she was always like this she needed protecting and i acted like she needed protecting, not showing her my other emotions she was looking for. because of that we slowly became distant and and at the end it was too much for me where she would barly contact me or see me anymore that i had to end the relationship. playing this makes me realise what i should of done and that i question why did i not show my other feelings more.

Glad I picked this one up. Just did my first run and finished the Lilly route and got the good ending. The game obviously has feels, but even more than that it made think. While this game goes the extra mile to make the love interests to some degree vulnerable due to their disabilities in one way or another, I think I found the MC's fragility with his heart defect even more perception altering.

Lilly good ending? AFAIK Lilly route has only a ending, but no good or bad ending.
For the Hanako route you should try the pre alpha version

Remind me of the differences between pre alpha Hanako and full game Hanako please

Pre alpha has 5 or so bad very black/dark endings in it self and to get to the 1 good ending you must go through Lilly's story then move over to Hanako.
Full game has the normal bad/good/neutral endings.
You'll probably like the Emi route, then. It's the only route where the MC actually increases his chances of living longer.
Also, I feel like recommending the pre-alpha version is somebody's attempt dark humor... unless you have some very specific kinks.
In the pre alpha, on the Hanako route he got a new heart, was would increase his chances too.
Recommending the pre alpha has nothing to do with kinks or dark humor (maybe a little), the Hanako route is just much better.

By the way, Hanako route has way more hot scenes in the pre-alpha True End although you have to suffer first to get those.

I can agree with you on that! This was also one of my first VN's and it ended up setting my standard for stories in general pretty high.
