If System39 doesn't work, use xsystem35 if you're on windows. Linux: xsystem35

xsystem35 also renders pixel sprite much sharper

The game should launch when you use the xsystem35 executable if you've installed it properly. Don't use system39, that's the old engine that people are having technical issues with on modern hardware.
