Anyone else gets afhook2.rpo marked as trojan in Kasperski? VirusTotal only get a positive on 2 out of 72 antiviruses so it should be safe but since Kasperski specifically marks it as dangerous it does make me a little anxious since in my experience Kasperski is not not overzealous
Anyone got any idea what this error says/ wants?
My PC in Japanese locale by default and I also tried using an locale emulator, same result

Summarizing, the game wasn't closed properly the last time (with Error Code 8), therefore it recommends starting into savemode and sound will be turned off.
To disable safe mode (and start the game normally), remove the check from settings->system settings -> start in safemode in the menu on top of the window.
Click yes to start into safemode, No... probably starts the game into normal mode.
Thanks, managed to figure out part of the issue with some experimentation. The safe mode is just a symptom , the game wouldn't run at all. Had to reinstall it into the default folder it wants (in C folder) and then it worked fine (although still showing the safe mode thing before starting but now the translation patch worked and I could disable the safe mode)

RIf you're having issues starting the game try installing it without changing the installation directory. Also, might have to add afhook2.rpo into exceptions in antivirus if you're using Kasperski.

It's false positive. You can always build it from the source code if you want - it's on github.
Yes, the art is censored, the uncensored version was never released anywhere, so nothing can be done.

This is not a machine translation. You clearly didn't check the translation quality at all (which is on a completely different level from MTL), but still demand something
If you prefer to read it in Japanese, you still can do it - just don't install the translation patch. But not everyone can read Japanese, I did this AI translation because ppl asked me to do it.

Since 2014 I fell in love with the adaptation and was waiting for some translation, every day I was waiting for news on the release in STEAM (there because of problems with “censorship” the release was delayed for two weeks) and when I saw that it's just a cut version I was very disappointed... I didn't expect anyone to take up LE (especially I don't believe Muv-Luv Verse, who for many years of existence haven't finished any project properly). And triple thanks for the Russian translation, now with LT and TL there is no problem with translation, but it's still much more convenient when the native language is out of the box. Kisses!

How do you turn it into English language after installing the game i added the eng patch in as well.
afhook2.rpo now has about half of the AV returning as positive on virustotal. And that includes Windows Defender so after you've pasted the file into the installation folder and run the game it'll automatically get flagged. Can you provide the link for the github page?

It gets flagged bc it injects the code into the game to replace the text with the translated variant. But there is absolutely no other way to translate a rUGP game other than this. So just ignore it and put in exception list? Idk. I can change the code a bit and compile a new version with a different checksum, but it will be sent again and flagged again for the same reason
As for Windows Defender it doesn't get flagged on my PC.
Check if afhook2.rpo exists and not removed by your antivirus.
