VN - Ren'Py - Abandoned - Kindread: The Redburns [Ch. 5] [Inkalicious]

An excellent story hitting on rare and very hot fetishes.
This is one of the few games I actually regularly go back to to get my jolloies off, as opposed to my usual play-it-and-forget-it approach.

This one stays above the late state of the incest Ren'Py games. Classic and paced approach to a great story that i'm sure many of us fantasize about. It's the end of the world out there! Scavange what you can in daylight but what shall we do while waiting over the night? Let me ask you something, when you are reading a good book, did you ever feel like the characters there actually exist? And each have a soul like got their own personal preferences? Unique characteristics, in other words? I felt the same while playing this. Developer pulled an awesome work there. Definitely recommend this game if you got a couple of hours to burn. Models are great, story is great but don't expect much from the animation department. Game is not complete yet, Ch.5 is where im writing this review from. Hope it gets frequent updates and makes dev alot of money. God knows he deserves it. He deserves it.

I can personally enjoy the stories of NTR, Incest or blackmail when there is corruption. It is tremendously erotic for people to know that something is wrong, they may not even like it, but as time passes, either out of interest, necessity or simply excitement, that hypocrisy is introduced.

In this case, although incest does not drive me crazy (from liking), I thought it would be more interesting. The reluctant mother factor, who loves her children and has not tasted a man for too long, makes it very interesting. I like how the developer puts dirty conversations and how little by little they get corrupted. Without it being a: I am horny from the beginning give me your cock quickly there is a hurry.

Simply say: If I have money, take my money.

This is the second time I've played through this game so it's long overdo to give it a review.

I disagree with a lot of the reviews here and will attempt to clarify my own opinion of the game.

The character models in the game work OK but aren't great or awesome like so many claim. The character models used were state-of-the-art 15 to 18 years ago. They work and aren't necessarily bad, but they are based on old technology. The character models lack detail. That is why the game size is so small, there isn't that much to render. There are much better character models available!

The writing is good and even great at times and is one of the highlights of the game. The writing is clever and comical. This is a fantasy novel which is very apparent with how some of the characters talk and behave in the game. It is amazing that any of them are still alive! The game should be viewed as a light porn comedy. Most of the characters in the game don't act like normal people. Many of their choices and decisions are quite comical and unrealistic (but fun and lighthearted in a good way).

There are quite a few problems with the English in the game but it is still very readable.

95% of the sex scenes in the game are made up of handjobs and blowjobs. Later in the game you get to have some anal sex with one of the younger girls in the game.

The game is heavily centered on being a sexfest. Oftentimes in the game I'm literally taken from sex scene to sex scene without even talking or walking to meet the other girl first. Sex scenes are often chained together for dramatic effect I assume.

The story suffers because of the emphasis on the game being a sexfest (handjobs and blowjobs). The story is good and even great overall, but it progresses very slowly and suffers because of the emphasis on sex events. I never thought I would complain that a visual novel had too much sex in it but here I am doing so. I wanted to see the story progress more than it did!

There are choices in the game but it is a classic visual novel. Nearly all of the choices don't matter much up through chapter 5. They will matter in later chapters (hopefully). There are romance and domination paths with most of the female characters in the game but you won't see the results of this through chapter 5.

The animations are OK but not great. Like so many games on this site they suffer from too low of FPS and too little back and forth movement (one to two inches in many cases), instead of three or more inches of movement.

The reason for the 4 star rating is because the game works well overall. The writing is clever and comical and the story isn't overdone. The renders and character models are sufficient to get the job done without distracting from the game.

Overall, I enjoyed my experience with the game!

I do recommend the game and encourage others to give it a try!

The game is 10/10 the characters are amazing there really defined and have character. The story is amazing really well written and has a lot of different pathways. The mechanics of the game are classic and really simple to use really couldn't get much more simpler. The world building is really good everything makes sense ( no glitches).Overall really entertaining and I must play in my book.

Let me get one thing out of the way first, before someone claims that this review score gave them false expectations. In terms of variety of sexual content, so far at least (Chapters 1-5), this game is actually kinda poor. It's mostly handjobs and blowjobs from two girls, with occasional anal sex with one of them. If you're only here for the lewd scenes and you're especially hoping to see some vaginal sex, like I was, this game might disappoint you. Consider yourself warned.

So why did I give it 5 stars anyway? Well, aside from the fact that there's a clear promise for more varied sexual content in future chapters, including vaginal sex... I did so because if you overlook its current shortcomings in terms of lewd content and actually give its story a chance, I believe you will be thoroughly entertained. The plot is silly and the characters are ridiculous, and I meant both of those things I just said in the best way possible. What really pushed me over the edge and made me give this game 5 stars instead of 4, is the writing. This game features some of the most ludicrous dialogues and internal monologues I've ever read, and again I mean that in a good way. I don't usually laugh out loud at things VN characters say, but I did several times with this one.

Speaking of characters (slight spoilers ahead, but nothing too secret), MC is literally a coomer, his sister is a hardass on the outside but a sexual deviant on the inside, and his mother tries to be the pillar of morality her children need, but deep down she's just a horny, sexually deprived woman who's thirsty for her son's cock. A few more girls have been introduced but haven't had a lot of development or screen-time so far. However we can already safely tell that MC is working on creating a harem in a post-apocalyptic zombie hellscape, starting of course with his own blood.

Speaking of post-apocalyptic zombie hellscape, if I'm being honest it merely serves as the backdrop for this story; While the protagonists do have to deal with zombies every now and then, and will have to scavenge for supplies, the story is much more focused on how (and with whom) MC will get to drain his balls. It's a porn VN, after all.

In conclusion, K:TR is a pretty unique, well-written porn comedy that might be a bit slow in the development its sexual content but seems to be on the right track anyway. I cannot guarantee it will be your cup of tea but it's damn well worth a try.

This game can really draw attention with a few things actually. Quality of renders is good, animations are ok. Story isn't typical routine which is definetely refreshing. Plot seems good and storytelling isn't bad as well. I like this zombie apocalypse motiv and definetely this game was time well spent. Can recommend. 6.5/10. [Ch. 5].

Oh man I'm loving this, they're all a bunch of idiots, it's perfect and they deserve each other.

To be honest I don't know what everyone's smoking around here, claiming this is the best porn game ever. The models are hot and the dirty talk is arousing enough, but some people here act like this is some Shakespearean masterpiece. It's just a porn visual novel, chill.

The more you read, the more you understand why Sam acts the way she does in the beginning. The MC is an imbecile and a jackass even on the romance route, I can't imagine what he'd be like in the domination one. He's funny, though.

The mother comes across as preachy and hypocritical, bitching about the protagonist being a horndog and the next second jacking him off while making hardly believable excuses. You can't tell me stuff like "If you can't control your libido you're outta here" and then jack him off two lines later because "hurr durr if I don't do this it'll only get worse", especially when the very first scene of the game is the mom trying to finger her daughter in the shower while giving another ridiculous excuse. Just admit you're a slut, lady.

Regarding the mom: the dev mentioned, in their own words, that "Not confronting her sets you on the romance path, with its own challenges of dealing with an unleashed sex panther".
See? Told ya she's just a slut who can't admit it. Personally, I hate people who aren't honest about how they feel. Ah well, anyway...

Do I recommend this game? Hell yeah. The dev's got a gem here that's for sure. The characters are little more than caricatures in my opinion and I can't say I'd be particularly sad even if the game ended with all of them dying, but they're hilarious to watch as they're spouting off silly excuses for their horniness.

I can't wait for the game to be finished just to see if we can turn the protagonist into an absolute asshole on the domination path, though.

Fantastic game! Just listen to all the folks around here telling you the same! It got everything wrapped up in one nice game. The only thing missing is of course more content.

I also really admire that this dev is not milking his/her followers at patreon but rather gives the possibility to buy a beer.

Really hope this project goes on until its finished and that there are many more projects to come.

This is one of the best games in this community and everyone needs to play this game ASAP!! It has fucking everything right: engaging plot, charming characters and the sex scenes are fucking hot. I sincerely hope that the author gets all the supports he need to continue the development of this excellent game.

I don't know about incest lovers, but I personally think it's a bit boring.

The zombie apocalypse part is well done.

The characters are bland though. One-dimentional personalities. The models are as nice as they could be when you use standard faces from Honey Select, not even making freckles more realistic.

So erotic stimuli aren't really good; repetitive mom's handjobs, it does not seem exciting to me.

what a masterpiece! instead of the fake-looking plastic bag, the other game uses to present character, the developer actually took a nice approach and tried to make characters as natural as possible. they have their own emotions and feelings instead of just running behind the mc like a slut. the slow burn is just top-notch. Also, the way the mc's mother acts all normal and returns to her motherly figure again, after each time she does something morally wrong is just amazing.

A couple of zombie games showed up in the last months, but this one is one of the better ones. The graphic is really nice, the plot does offer a pretty real story which you feel soon as a part of it. I do like also that the sex comes slowly and somehow much more believable then in many other games. All together I can say 5 of 5 stars. Looking forward to play many more updates...

You are stuck in a zombie apocalypse with your sister and mother and you are incredibly horny.

Sounds cliche and honestly, it is.
But this game does what many fail to do with dialogue and characters' actions.

In terms of the positives, this game does what for me most fail to do when it comes to a world destroyed by zombies.
The characters are pretty but the bodies are not 10/10 models they are clearly not eating as much as they should and it shows (not in a creepy way).
They also found a "natural" way for the story to evolve, instead of the cliche mom sees son naked, mom horny, mom fucks.
The author made it so the mom does not like what she is doing and is conflicted in her choices (bringing some realism to a fantasy world)
Also, the sex scenes are very well done, and when joined with the story that is not only reading + reading + reading it makes them even better.

Well the negatives are sadly that this game is very short and updates are not that frequent, for a game that has been on this forum for 2018 it's barely moved from the start and the updates are very slow.
The dev himself does not say when he will post updates or send the next chapter.
I prefer to believe that he has another job and this is a hobby for him.

In the end, it's still a very good game with a good story and good characters that behave accordingly to their personalities (contrary to most games).
If you are looking for something new I would say try this, if not then maybe just wait 1 more year and see how far the story progresses

Love this game, love the art & dialogue especially. Doesn't hurt I'm very fond of gingers, though I do wish I could convince them that mega bushes attract zombies.... lol. Still, I find the models attractive, tho perhaps Megan seems a bit younger than I'd expect for the PC's age, still she's mature and facking hot as hell.

I can't wait to see what the dev has in store. I know this is more of an actual story based artwork, not at all a gratuitous fap title and I love that about the game to be honest, but even as unrealistic as it is to wish for pregnancy in a post-apocalyptic world, I do very much hope that option gets met for the PC and at least the 2 primary women. I play with the relationship mod cuz I'm dirty like that, but I don't want to spoil a great game for people not into either theme, it really is very well written and quite well produced as well as drawn. The writing of the story is very good.
The interactions with the others characters it felt real.
And the graphics are pretty decent.
