Yeah the update is coming tomorrow as they say in their newest post. Apparently Sierra left the project and she was replaced by two new members Monsinne as a writer and Ndsferrari as a coder. So apparently the new update is actually coming tomorrow, I guess before new year and they want to show us the new direction KoD is going to move to. Link to the post:

Well I guess this explains why Sabia is going back to the tents. (and possibly why the very first scene was removed some updates back) If we get more submissive scenes for Sabia I'm all for that, I just hope the writing isn't too dumbed down. It's one of my favorite things about TLS and NN.

Edit: Well in the Patreon comments of that post Nomo says there's gonna be more sub content so that takes care of that.

Nomo said that almost everything (story, world, characters) were created by him. So I don't think there will be significant changes to the story.

Yeah, the value increase of her working more on fewer games + other team working on different games is best for everyone.

I don't know, this could have something to do with the story direction or the tone of the game.

It was an amicable decision made after several long discussions regarding some creative differences.

Refreshing news, sierra has been atrocious writer, I mean he WAS (is)a writer not like 99% of other alleged "writers" that write scenes in porn games on this site(hello summertimesaga most brilliant example of preschool level writing), but
writing in the scenes was very repetitive and after playing riven game which was very decent it just lost its charm and became boring

now then, since this game still can be good and well managed giving a chance to Nomo person is an option but that is a possibility not after this one but the update that comes next

I've always been a fan of Sierra's writing, but it was very clear that she was losing interest in KoD, and the quality of the releases has been dropping almost every patch. No matter how talented a writer is, if they're not interested in what they're writing the quality will always suffer.

I also feel like Sierra was really pushing for the Dom Sabia route, which might not have been so bad except the actual sexual content of the game was being diminished/pushed onto less popular characters.

Anyway, this seems like very positive news for the game, and we'll be able to judge the quality for ourselves very soon with the next release.

I doubt the writing will be worse, in fact it may be even better. I read through some of the comments on the post and it seems that Monsinne did the pillars of power story.

Kinda disappointed in Sierra, the way she left without even giving a statement. Some patrons of hreinngames were subscribed for years, I think they deserved atleast a personal note.

Returning player here, haven't played this game since 0.2.X, so I'm wondering what the Bonus 1, 2 and 3 downloads are. I downloaded the 0.6.4 and the Bonus 1, at first glance it seems like Bonus 1 has the old version of the intro (with rape) and old gear system. Is the bonus versions just older versions?

The bonuses have 3 to 4 non Canon scenes that are just fun extras for patrons. Bonus 1 is a bit odd since it's implemented through "dreaming" in your tent. Go back a couple of pages and you'll find a consolidated download with all the bonuses.

I expect this to be a good change in the end. At the beginning i had high hopes for this game but it quickly went in odd direction. Too many stupid design decisions like focusing on fucking cat girls, orc and manticore females and Dom Sabia(ugh).
Development also slowed down to 1update/3months...
Nomo said theyre gonna give us more Sub Sabia and more fetishes which does sound promising.

I will hold my breath over either this will be okay or not until i see the new version. I was quite happy with the way she wrote the story.
