Yeah, I like it, though not because of corruption aspect. In fact, my largest grievance with the series is that there is a bit too much of corruption, but it's fairly well written and has my two fetishes - orcs and noblewomen.

I'm curious, in games like this, or Fallen: Makina where you can choose between corruption and purity for the MC, how many people roleplay the character and make choices they'd make in that situation? Or does everyone else just go for full corruption to get all the scenes?

On repeated playthroughs, sure, I should have said the first playthrough, where you don't know how the story plays out and aren't going for completionism.

Though I don't always do other routes. Especially if they don't have any H content. Virgin routes in Japanese H-RPGs for example. I'm not gonna replay and grind through the whole game again and not get any H out of it. That's just dumb to me.

Yeah, not a fan too, but i still do because i have that damn itch to 100%. The best h-games imo have h-scenes for all paths available.

I get pretty bored when I'm only making choices that I can assume will lead to some H. Those tend to be predictable.
KoD is pretty great since the content will be very different giving the choices you're making. So when you've avoided sex for the first act and then nail Neve, it's kind of a "big deal".
As far as the "ropleplay" goes, I guess it is true in a way. I'd say there's a bit of projection or "self-inclusion" or whatever it's called when it comes to porn.
Not that I actively try to get raped by green-skinned humanoids or anything...

I feel you on the itch, man. I have it when I play games too. I just gotta get everything. Though somehow I'm able to suppress it with H-games. Probably because the virgin path usually doesn't have anything new. It's the same game but with a different, ''happier'' ending, and no H on your way there. Boring. The only exception is optional bosses and side quests. If an H-game has those then I just gotta do them. Even if they don't get me any scenes.
And yeah, agreed. The best H-games are the ones with H in all paths.

Yeah, H-games are about the H-scenes but there's plenty of hentai out there that doesn't require nearly as much attention or time investment. I'm here for the fetish. And corruption is a pretty finicky fetish for me. Depending on my mood, the character and other factors, I may want it to only progress very slowly, savor the buildup. The longer I go on resisting the corruption of the character, the more connected I feel to her, which just makes it more of a thrill when she does succumb.Always full slut mode first. But OTOH, when I've played through the story once I'm more likely to use the console to unlock and see what I missed, instead of doing a ''slut run''. Lack of cloud-saved achievements makes a 100% completion run pretty lame to me.

I never have a connection with characters I play with. So delaying the corruption has no benefit for me. The moment I get the chance to shove some dicks in her I'm taking it.
Yeah, this also is a big factor in why I rarely do other runs in H-games. Most AAA games I replay for the sweet achievos. Even if doing so drives me nuts. It's an addiction. I can't help it. H-games tend to not have achievos. But if they do, even if they're just in-game, even if it means replaying the game on the boring virgin route, chances are I will attempt to get them. Luckily that has yet to happen.
For me corruption depends on the character and other variables, so not fetish I like in of itself.

I don't think anyone has mentioned her work here on the site before, But I certainly know who you are talking about.
I used to beta/spellcheck her work, and sometimes I advise her in regards to providing information on Medieval warfare et cetera (Though I am no great academic or have a masters degree on the subject). The world is a small place, it seems!

I have the same problem... I must get everything I can otherwise I'll keep feeling unease... Even if it's not for an achievement but for the sake of collecting... I just can't willingly leave something I can collect, especially in games which I really like. For example in Far Cry 3 I have even cleared all loot chests even if it was absolutely pointless because I bought everything I could long time ago and my wallet was also full, there was no achievement for it either but I was collecting those stupid boxes anyways. Game didn't allow to clear completely the chest if you had full wallet so I was just keep wasting ammo so I could spend money on it in the shop and then clear more chests... While clearing those chests I was wondering if "Am I fucking retarded?" but I collected them all in the end regardless. Ofc everything else was picked up long time ago. Those who have played in Far Cry 3 know how much shit there was to collect. Plx kill me.

That's me currently with all the weapons and items you can develop in Metal Gear Solid V. You only need, like, 300 to get the achievements. But there are so many more. Plus ones you can only get as FOB rewards. I don't even use most of that shit, but I just HAVE to have it.
Same with weapons and armor in Monster Hunter World. Haven't used half that shit. But my collection must be completed!
