So it's become abundantly clear from this update that the game is now being steered directly into being a spiritual sequel to Noxian Nights, with our protagonist constantly getting groped and delivering sexual favors to random nameless NPCs. And I understand that decision, it's what all of their users except me seem to want.
Which, I liked Noxian Nights, but I also liked what this game was and I'm kinda disappointed we're not going to see that game finished. Ah well.

Yup. I pity everyone that sent Sabia on a dom path; enjoy getting two scenes in two years catered to you, if you're lucky.
I think they bit more than they can chew. On paper, with infinite time and money probably the solo dom route was supposed to be what you mention while for example the Tekrok full sub would go basically as it is now. Everything else was probably planned to be somewhere in between with a balanced Dajrab route in the middle. What we have now i think is part of the original idea, just not the whole.

I'm also with you on this. While I definitely enjoyed Noxian Nights, and the way I played through this game was in a similar manner to NN - that being 'how much can I make Sabia a sloot' - a lot of my interest in this title was the promise of a more interesting character based political narrative. I'll still be following this, but I join you in mourning the lack of the old spirit of the game. I hope the team can recover some of that, but the threat of losing your income is enough to shatter even the loftiest dreams of complex character narrative.

Besides, if I've enough porn you should've enough politics too since it's like everywhere else.
I believe the hopes that you, myself, and seemingly a small minority of the fan base, had for the narrative direction of this game were dashed as soon as nomo and sierra lee parted ways. I don't believe there are many writers in the adult game industry today who can create a story on par with sierra. She has her flaws, sure, but she does a good job of world building and creating intricate plot lines as evidenced by the last sovereign.
I'll enjoy this game for what it has become, the same as i enjoyed noxian nights for what it is, but my expectations regarding the plot have certainly been lowered by the last few updates.

Theoretically yes but how many games are there which are:
- Fantasy games
- In english
- With multiple female protagonists
- Who get ravaged by lots of groups of strangers and monsters, by themselves and in group scenes
- That doesn't have garbage grind mechanics that are required to advance*
- And actually good art, with erotic writing that doesn't make me ashamed to be playing it
- Also the protagonists are not lolis
* Arguably KoD is even worse than having forced grind spots, because it lets you skip the grinding initially but then leaves the game unwinnable later if you try to save yourself the time. (There's a reason why I felt it needs a cheat menu mod to be playable.)
Maybe there's a vast treasure trove of games like this out there that I don't know about, but Noxian Nights is still the only one that meets all of those criteria. (There are many translated japanese games that come close but then have loli heroines: That's a dealbreaker for me.) Tbh NN and KoD are the only porn games I actually keep around to re-view scenes to get off: Most I just play once and then delete them. So I don't mind at all that we're getting a sequel.
That said, what KoD was doing was also very unique and difficult to find, and I'm sad that spiritually at least, it's dead. Personally I'd have preferred they cancelled the game and started a new one with new OCs, to avoid this awful tone shift in the middle of the game, but that's just my opinion.
