Okay, I guess I was a bit bitter the last time I posted, which spark your "facepalm" reaction -- well, thanks for that! XD

As it stands, still, give it a few hours or a few days time before someone gets here and shares the spoils. Usually, KOD is fast, though that depends on who gets the loot first.

Well, the reason why I was a bit bitter is that KOD isn't really in a good shape in any shape or form, and that's quite a stretch because you really want whatever Nomo gives ya, but at the same time you know it's shit most of the time. Mind you that the "it's shit most of the time" comment is not about the scene as a whole, but seeing from the quality Nomo put out nowadays, especially from updates for the main game... though, I'd like to be proven wrong. Scenes can be a hit or miss depending on who sees them, the same goes for the quality, hypocritically. For me, Nomo's art quality tanked quite a bit, but his scenes are pretty much good, albeit needed some polish here and there.

So, taking the good with the bad is one of the safest bets out there, especially in this game.

True enough. But aside from the bonus art and scenes there is supposed to be some progress report on the update too, which is always interesting (or entertaining when i'm salty) to read. At least, judging by the title.

Art packs, Variant Scenes and Progress on Next Update

Variants and artpacks have been released for the appropriate tiers - if that's you, hope you enjoy them!

As said before:

Art Pack: has the scenes from the previous update in High Res quality when possible, plus sketches and some art Nomo did to the side and the Variant scenes art. And goes for everyone above and including 15$ tier.

Variant Pack: Has 3 non-canon scenes as in game scenes with writing in a special KoD client, those scenes were voted by the 15$+ patrons. They are included in the Art Pack now as just art, however the special client with the scenes with writing goes for the 25$ pack.

For a quick update on .14 - most of the first quest is written and expressions implemented. It centres around Sabia trying to recruit forces and setting up for her fight with Kira and Jasmine, based on information she got in the previous update.

It is going to end up being one of the bigger quests we've done, somewhere around 35-40k words with an interesting new scene perspective we're excited to try out! The quest has evolved a little bit, and the captain content that we had intended to include in this quest is now going to be included in the next partial release. This is for two reasons: 1) the quest itself became larger than we first planned, and 2) the captain content plan also expanded from what we originally had.

The plans for both the bad-end questline conclusion and the tents questline currently remain the same.

So they kept the stupid business model that actively fucks progress. And again with the fucking word dierrhea metric. Couple more years and they might double the wordcount to 80k per quest, but still wont have enough code and words where the extra art Nomo creates won't have to be turned into throwaway "extra stuff". I probably need to eat something to be less grumpy but not a bloody thing makes any kind of sense with this game. Sierra will probably colonize another planet by the time Sabia leaves the orc village.

Okay, so based on the images, especially the second and third image(s), would it be better if Nomo uses whatever left's on the good build(s) (pre-0.10) since it uses, more or less, a similar pose from Ba'Ashi and the removed raped scene on the game's introduction section way back when? You know, consistency in "reusing existing assets" that they've been utilizing lately?

Personally, I don't think there's any improvement in the image quality (other than it being "high resolution" for $15 to $25 patrons). Well, they claimed that they've written almost 40 thousand words, I'm sure that the written part is pretty much the same old song and dance as the latest 0.13.2 build. Let's hope I can be proven wrong on this one as soon as someone shares the packs here.

My comment and suggestion for the written part (sprinkled a bit with a pinch of false hope):

I'm pretty sure if they had hired a competent writer off the internet without anyone's noticing, it would be a treat given how Sabia can basically recruit everyone using any means necessary, including but not limited to sex reward, to combat Kira and Jasmine and utilizing those 40 thousand words to its full potential and possibly bouncing back the game to somewhat good standing, though still in a very rough patch of land. You know, as it stands today, the game was interesting. Some may even tell me that the game is still interesting from their own perspective.

It's new but it's also one-time-only content. Meaning, someone else's fantasy won the poll and that's it. No relation to the main game whatsoever because it's another ballpark, now that they've still working on the 0.14 build

And, I guess you just wait... give it another day or two... or three for the packs to come out -- probably around a week at the latest

I gave up expecting this game to be finished. Forget about it for a year and maybe enjoy the handful of updates when you remember about it during a bout of insomnia at 3:00 in the morning lol

This game has barely made any progress from the last 2 years so it's just best assumed to be dead.

As they should. Nomo should just draw like 3,4 different scenes one after the other to show the whole town/orc city running through her and then 1 more afterwards where she's naked and chained with a collar, tattooed her sisters kingdom's Slave, like they did with riven in noxian nights, and just end it on a good note (for us) because it's obviously not going anywhere, but they won't cuz they still make money.

My first thought was that this could either be played as a 18+ version of Pacman or Snake where Sabia walks around, trying to "collect" orcs by blowing them (eating in both pacman and snake) while avoiding environmental hazards or the growing line of orcs behind her who are following her to get a second round. After that in 0.15 there could be a Sextris minigame where Sabia has to take up different poses after walking into a tent to best fit, satisfy and thus remove the orcs that are already waiting for her at the bottom of the screen.
The 8bit possibilities are endless.
