Does anyone know if the game has been abandoned or not?
On Patrion they seem to say that it hasn't.
Although in the comments they say that it has been abandoned.

SO the comments that named this a long dead in everything but name bc they've been milking their patreons for years....... have you confused as to whether or not hte game is dead despite the comments telling you that it is now announced that it's main creator, Nomo the artist, who is MIA has officially said to have been MIA from the rest of his crack team and you're wondering if that conflicts with the patreon that has been milked for years still saying it ISN'T dead. Okay man imma just have you read that out loud in your native language.

Short version:
Nomo, the guy who drew the art and came up with the story, the characters, the setting, the personalities, the interactions, the scenes, etc. has disappeared from the internet over a year ago. Everyone we know has lost contact with him.
The dev team technically still has a writer and a coder who didn't quit, so technically the game is not abandoned yet.

But, if they don't want to shut everything down, they only have a couple of options left:

1. Keep things on life support and keep making reused scenes without progression. (commonly known as milking)
2. Nomo comes back from his exile.
3. Find new artists, narrative lead and project lead to take over the required tasks.
4. Start a new game in the same setting with the new people on the team.

So basically unless Nomo comes back suddenly, then the game is either over or both the game and the dev team has to go through drastic changes before they can do anything.

Sad, if this is all true.
I enjoyed the game (until the moment when I lost the ability to choose between submission and dominance).

The game's pretty much abandoned at this point, at least from a development standpoint. We're just here waiting for its inevitable fate.

Don't mind me, just laughing at all the very special fellows who defended this game/these devs when all the signs were there. This was the only possible conclusion to Hreinn's excessive stupidity and non-existent work ethic.

Maybe they can reboot the project or just delete the patreon
They have already lost most of their loyal audience.

I'm not really in the know, but it looks like they don't really engage in communicating with the audience.
At least if you look at their Patreon, posts appear extremely rarely, I looked at several pages of other developers and many have posts much more often or relatively regularly.
It's bad if the creators of KOD are simply too lazy to do this, although, perhaps, they actively maintain their Discord.
I'm not ready to check.

These guys just doesn't know how to continue without getting rid of the source of income and affected them greatly.

I'm not sure if their Discord is active, either.

It's a shame really, it's one of my favourite games on this site, and I've been around here for 7 years.
by the way if anyone knows something similar , (2dcg , corruption, fantasy, point and click, with NOT F*CKING CHILD LOOKING JAPANESE DRAWINGS, I'd happily take your suggestions. I can't take of that japanese slop anymore.

KOD ticked all the right boxes for me. It is perfect for an 18+ game.

I believe this is the latest walkthrough available, though as you can tell by the version, there's a lot of stuff not covered.

No, unfortunately. Judging by the last post shared from the devs, it pretty much implied the project was dead, or at the least, on hold until they could find a solution. They did say they were intending to finish the current arc, but this is a game that's lucky to release 1 update every 12 months. Last update was August, so there's still a few more months that they might drop something, but I don't think we'll know til' it's actually done & available.
