anyhow. I really wish they'd continue its development with the same artstyle. The writing was decent too. I really liked the writing . What I mean by that , is that spicy moments weren't walls and walls of text with the same CG , It let the CGs talk and there were face variations and character variations. that was cool. Scenes were short but pretty hot.
The main creator behind the game has gone AWOL and no one knows what has happened to him or her. Some of the few assistant devs dont know what happened and are debating if they should continue the game or start over.

Honestly, Nomo's art is apparently pretty easy of AI to imitate. Either the devs switching over or someone just making free mod content would probably be doable.
Depends on how you count it.
Nomo (artist, project lead) disappeared 2 years ago, then he showed up for a day last year and has been missing since. Not even the other devs know what happened.
The writer said that there is still one more patch coming some time in the future, but obviously without new art. He also said that he will ask some artists if they wanted to pick up the game, but for now, this is it.
Bleh. First off, the thought of using AI to just replace an actual artist is a massive downer, but even if the artist is replaceable Nomo himself is not. If he's the creative lead then he not only has the art to work on, but the story and general direction of the game as well. If Sierra Lee was still on board it'd be entirely possible to get a new artist, but she left a long time ago, right around when the whole project just coincidentally started going downhill, and with neither of the two on the team it's just not the same game. Pack it up folks, it's over.

Finally they put the label of “abandoned” to one of the biggest and painful disappointments I've had in this site, they should also close their Patreon.
But at least in my heart, Sabia managed to become chief of the orc tribes and other non-human species and was able to take revenge on her sister, bringing peace in the conflicts between orcs and humans, promoting the orc economy, founding a new empire with gambling and prostitutes, while having orgies with many orcs, having strong and intelligent offspring who would later conquer the world.
With this I leave testimony of what I would have liked to have been the destiny of a character that was very dear to me, as she was to many people.

Most likely not. We see this shit happening all the time, it's almost a coin-flip at this point weather a dev is going to go AWOL when they don't feel like working on a game anymore. If they finally do decide to turn up again, the come with the same excuse about how their mental health prevented them from working. Almost all of them say the exact same thing, and judging by the massive amount of Abandoned games(5k out of the 20k~ games posted here are Abandoned), it's impossible they are all telling the truth. Since when did laziness and lack of common decency to not take advantage of your loyal supporters become attributed to mental illness??
Should be an eye-opener to most of how extremely susceptible patreon-funded games are. That's why supporters should be more thoughtful of who they give money. My personal rule is to not support a creator unless they have at least 1 finished game under their belt, that way I know they actually got the capacity and will to complete something. That's still not a guarantee though, as evident by this case.
Speaking of which, does Noxian Nights have any connection to this game's story or are they completely separate worlds?
I think you are right, but i see this from a bit different angle: when thousands of amateurs who have no idea about game development start their projects, then 50% burnout is exactly what i'm expecting to be the result. But if they do their own thing, then burnout is not an excuse in most cases, but rather the result of their own mistakes. Hreinn here for example never made roadmaps and right from the start they developed step by step without a plan for the future. This inevitably leads to difficulties and frustration both among the devs and the fans and burnout naturally follows.
So yeah, i believe the same story every time, i just think that it often comes from preventable mistakes that the devs themselves didn't realize or didn't want to admit.
And no, Noxian Nights has no connection. It is based on League's old lore (with surprising accuracy sometimes) and that world has no orcs or elves.

This reminded me of another prerequisite of mine before I even start to consider supporting a dev; They must have a plan/roadmap for the game. How many chapters? How long do they plan development to take? How much of the plot has already been laid out? I always ask these questions and if they can’t give a reasonable answer, adios.
I 100% agree with your take on the burnout, nevertheless, being burnt out due to your own incompetence does not excuse the blatant milking scheme of ghosting to retain supporters. Delay your development as much as you need or abandon it, but don’t betray your supporters by not keeping them informed, that‘s just disrespectful and downright immoral.

Although that also makes me sad. I'm following this game for like what, 8 years, of my life and this is the end I'm getting? Never seeing how Sabia's sister Lynn gets that orc cock in the end? Things such as these should NOT happen.
