Honestly I think her titties are too small, but my objection is that armor she's wearing. That has to hurt like *hell* to wear, and it's laughably ineffective as protection. She's also too... Okay so when I first heard of Kira I imagined this hardass bandit queen, but the design we got instead is something that seems designed primarily not to intimidate straight boys.

Just let us have proper hard butch dykes, fantasy genre. Give her some actual muscles, a nice scar, and for Christ's sake skip the eyeshadow.

Now, to play the devil's advocate, the last update did present her in the words of the brigands as some really hot chick. So it stands to reason that she indeed dresses seductively. Maybe she enjoys arousing her men and then punishing them for having gotten aroused.
But of course the real reason is the one you already stated. People want sexyness and don't care for proper worldbuilding. Which is probably why Sierra departed from the project.

I fully agree with Viressa on this point. A hardass bandit leader who cares not a whit if someone lives or dies and terrifies the shit out of people should look like she can actually deliver a spear thrust with some power behind it. Hell, armor can be done to enhance the appearance of its wearer but still actually offer protection. As it is, this definitely just seems like pandering to the desire for various fetish bases to stick in the tents or whatnot, and not actually create interesting story and characters alongside.

As far as eyeliner, that's honestly one of the lesser problems in my opinion - warriors dressing themselves up like that absolutely happened. One could also take it further and make it into full on war paint, perhaps in the shape of magical runes that confer greater strength and endurance.

Some warrior classes made a *point* of going into battle well groomed if at all possible - a sort of "leave a good looking corpse/enter the afterlife looking your finest" type of idea. And then you had the plain old individual weirdos and eccentrics with God-knows-what quirky affectations...

There were creative differences. (I haven't even tried KoD as of yet since her departure several versions ago.) In addition to TLS, Sierra has been busy releasing several novels. I don't recall any other game she is currently working on off the top of my head besides TLS.

. My understanding is that these novels are, in fact, game books--literature RPGs like those old school adventure books (such as Lone Wolf) with some light stat tracking or it might something simpler like pick-an-option and turn to so-and-so page CYOA books.

If there's a /game folder inside the zip file, merge that with the /game folder in your KOD install. If there's no /game folder, drop everything in the zip into your /game folder in your KOD install. (I really should have designed the mods to all be installed the same way, sorry for the confusion.)

I was planning to release 0.5 like, two weeks ago, but a thing that happens to me is I get into these depressive spells where I just go days, sometimes weeks, where I just can't produce anything creatively to save my life. Never hire me for anything with strict deadlines. It doesn't help that I planned for this update to be really big, bigger than all the previous updates put together. At this point I should probably just cut it in half, finish up the ones that are mostly done, and leave the others for a 0.6 version.

Wait do you draw new scenes or reuse the old ones with new text. Also, my bonuses are not working in JMOD? Why?

I only reuse old ones with new text.

To use the JDMOD, you need to have downloaded the scene images from the bonus pack and installed them. Read the installation guide included with the JDMOD for more information.

Installing my fanfic mod: Take the Fanfic.rpy and scenes folders from my fanfic mod and place them in your /game folder

Installing the JDMOD: Take the JDMOD folder from the JDMOD and place it into your /game folder, then take the /scenes folder (extracted from the rpa with unren) from the bonus scenes pack and place them in /game/JDMOD, merging it with the /scenes folder already there.

So long as you're using the latest version of both mods (0.41 for the fanfic mod, 0.7.3b for the JDMOD), they should work together seamlessly.

I've recently tried downloading the prologue restoration, and I'm not sure what I'm doing incorrectly.. but I can't seem to get it to work I keep getting error messages on my screen in-game. I assume I'm putting it in the wrong files or something, or it's conflicting with something else?
