You have to hold Up in your Arrows to grab it. There's also Holding Space which helps meI can't grab the first rope in the jump quest. Am I missing something obvious?
Thanks for the reply. Yeah, I'm hitting jump [ctrl] and holding up (I've tried both up arrow key and 'w') and little dude just jumps and doesn't grab. If I run into that first set of thorns does it require me to re-enter and try again? What does holding space do? I don't have it binded to any action. My bad, space is my default Jump Button. Holding Up and CTRL help me the mostThanks for the reply. That's what I've been pressing, no luck on my end. If I buy the Maya&Camila stamp as a workaround, will it break the game in any way? I'd prefer to be able to play through it somehow but at the same time I just want some way to progress the game. Let me know if you all need any additional info about my pc build or game setup; after searching this post for the past few days it seems like I'm the only one experiencing this issue. Thanks for the help!!just place your chibi under the rope.
press and hold the UP arrow. do not release the key.
now, use the CTRL key to jump. u will see the chibi grab the rope.
Wow, quick reply. Still no luck re-binding jump to a different key. My sprite will jump in both configurations but the up key doesn't seem to trigger the rope grab. I've tried different keys for the up button as well. I even tried using an on-screen keyboard to bypass my physical keyboard for the up key and it didn't work. I'm playing on v.0.2.7.4c downloaded from GOFILE if that helps at all.ok lets try something different.
open settings and change the "JUMP" button (default CTRL) to something else. like "F"
(you click on JUMP and hold the mouse button, now u move it and drop it on F and release mouse)
now retry the jump-quest but this time u use the "F" key.
tell me if its works.
Tough to catch the apex of the jump, but I think I got it.View attachment 4230414
if u place your chibi in that spot I show here. and u continuously hold the "jump" key.
how high can u jump?
I try to see if there some issue with that, so u are jumping high enough to be able to grap the rope.
in the same picture I also show how the chibi look when its holding the rope and at "height" it connected to it.
Nope, I can do both. Thanks again baka. Check the edit to my previous post, it might indicate something?maybe theres a issue to use 2 keys simultaneously?
not in jumpquest but in normal map mode, can u use 2 arrows key together to move diagonally?
or if u use the "attack" keys (instead of mouse) while u also move around, it is possible to do that?
Sounds good, Thanks. I had tried right-jump-up previously to no avail unfortunately.I will look into it tomorrow if I can figure out something.
another thing that u can try is to move right > and jump so u press jump+right arrow, while u jump press also up arrow when u get close to the rope.
We're looking at the Jump Quest but what I can do in the mean time is if you post your save, I can skip that part so you can continue with the game while we investigate.Sounds good, Thanks. I had tried right-jump-up previously to no avail unfortunately.
Thanks Haseo & baka. We're looking at the Jump Quest but what I can do in the mean time is if you post your save, I can skip that part so you can continue with the game while we investigate.
There's a segment later where you have to redo it but hopefully we find out why. Post your save and I'll at least help to get you back into the Story
