Hey little slut , Christmas is coming early, I’ll drop here the the new version in a few days. Too impatient? Join Patreon as a free member and get it right now, plus you’ll support the project, win win. I’m posting the HUGE fat (like my cock:devilish:) update here so you can see how major this release is. Added Kink13 + big quality of life improvements + lower the costs on a lot of stuff.

*Now stop reading, start wanking, and download with the other hand. o_O

While I am grateful to every dev that pours their time and energy into creating games, I don't think all devs truly appreciate the time and energy their creations take up for the players. This game is a prime example of that. There is a truly great game at the core of "Kink Maker", but it is buried under a pile of poor mechanics and design choices.

Things missing:
1. No fast travel: Having to slog through a slow moving, side-scrolling, multi-screen traversal to reach a single destination on a multiple destination quest gets old after the first time you do it.
2. No in-game map: If fast travel is not an option, having an in-game map that allows you to mark a destination, which then gives the player arrows or a marked path is essential. Only a player with photographic (eidetic) memory can play this game.
3. No pin-able mission objectives: Expecting players to remember a multi-step task list, or to jot down notes for every goal is placing too much burden on the player. During my play session, I took screen shots of that task lists for each person and had to Alt-Tab out of the game to view the image to complete the goals.
4. Crippling low initial stats and glacial upgrading: Starting out with only enough stats (Money, Stamina, Mana) to perform a single basic function, then need to perform a replenishment function for that stat that eats up a different stat is gulag levels of punishment. For example, having to work 5 times to increase wealth by +1 also means having to replenish stamina 5 times be sleeping, which means have to drag yourself back and forth between work and your home each time (see my comment on no fast travel).
5. ...You know what.. ..I'm going to end it here...

My point is, this isn't the 1980's when Sierra Games expected constant back and forth running around to complete simple tasks, and expecting players to fill up ring-binders with copious notes. While King Maker 'may' be a fun game, I'll never know because I'm not going to torture myself by trying to play it until it becomes more "player friendly".

Good luck with your game.

Pro Tip: Trying to drag out game play by impeding forward progression with slow traversal mechanics and multi-step buffoonery is not clever game design. It's lazy and insults the players.

You’re clearly NOT doing your homework correctly, honey.

1: No fast travel? Cute. There’s bus, taxi, subway, recall bracelet, shoes of speed, plenty of ways to move faster if you actually played.
2: Open your little eyes, the map button is written in the escape menu, and you can access it anytime.
3: Read the damn tags before playing. Memory game is listed, and yes, there’s a TRANS tag too, just in case you planned to cry about that next.
4: Is this your first game ever? Lots of games do this. Please don’t try Elden Ring, you’d melt. Just so you know, the work place is the very first screen on your right, under ten seconds away. Blink and you’ll miss it.
5: Yeah, you should stop there, you clearly played less than three minutes and didn’t bother reading anything.:censored:

Conclusion: None of your points are really valid.

The Sierra Games comment is quite valid. While trying it I did think; Oh this is a "Kings Quest porn game".

That's not a bad thing, using retro gameplay styles is quite common these days and there is a public for it. Personally not for me. I would need an amazing narrative or something really really special to invest the time.
QoL additions could attract a wider public but at the same time it might watter down the style the dev is looking for.

Good luck with the project.

1. Fast travel, as in, call up the map with target locations (which you can't), click on a location, and you're there. Yes, I know there are a few quicker traversal methods, but it's still a lot of running around from point A > B > A > C > Etc..
2. Map is there. Could be implemented better.
3a. Memory game? Yes. See my comments on copious notes / eidetic memory / 1980's
3b. Trans? Did I say a single word about kinks in the game? ...or is your trigger finger twitching and you're just waiting to pounce on a hater? ..imagined or not? Maybe get more comfortable with your own life choices and stop assuming everyone is out to attack you for those choices.. ..honey.
4. First game? Hardly. Remember my mention of Sierra Games? I've been playing computer games since their inception. Sierra, Microprose, Infocom, etc.. Ever play a game across multiple 5.25 discs? I'm been gaming on a computer for 4+ decades, so spare me your condescending attitude. And yes, I've played Elden Ring, as well as most AAA titles. This game (Kink Maker) is no Elden Ring. It's a fap game in it's infancy. Now, there's nothing wrong with fap games in development. They're meant to be problematic and riddled with 'could have' and 'should have' aspects. The point of these forums is feedback, right? Apparently offering mine is a problem for you.
5. I played enough to realize the grind and the slog are not worth the payout. Take a look around F95. Hundreds of games, all offering a fap-worthy experience. If you read my post fully, then you'd have notice I started with. "There is a truly great game at the core of "Kink Maker", but it is buried under a pile of poor mechanics and design choices.". Meaning, I didn't fully write it off as a total loss. The game has "good bones". I did, however, state that if it maintains the same pointless "go to A, then B, then back to A" over and over and over, then yeah.. ..I'll probably never get back to it.

In short, if a game makes you work very hard to get to the reward, it better be one hell of a reward. Understand your audience when you try to make a game that you want them to enjoy. I'm one of the audience; or am I?
