Don't know, before christmas i think. So, when is this available for the public?
You’re clearly NOT doing your homework correctly, honey. While I am grateful to every dev that pours their time and energy into creating games, I don't think all devs truly appreciate the time and energy their creations take up for the players. This game is a prime example of that. There is a truly great game at the core of "Kink Maker", but it is buried under a pile of poor mechanics and design choices.
Things missing:
1. No fast travel: Having to slog through a slow moving, side-scrolling, multi-screen traversal to reach a single destination on a multiple destination quest gets old after the first time you do it.
2. No in-game map: If fast travel is not an option, having an in-game map that allows you to mark a destination, which then gives the player arrows or a marked path is essential. Only a player with photographic (eidetic) memory can play this game.
3. No pin-able mission objectives: Expecting players to remember a multi-step task list, or to jot down notes for every goal is placing too much burden on the player. During my play session, I took screen shots of that task lists for each person and had to Alt-Tab out of the game to view the image to complete the goals.
4. Crippling low initial stats and glacial upgrading: Starting out with only enough stats (Money, Stamina, Mana) to perform a single basic function, then need to perform a replenishment function for that stat that eats up a different stat is gulag levels of punishment. For example, having to work 5 times to increase wealth by +1 also means having to replenish stamina 5 times be sleeping, which means have to drag yourself back and forth between work and your home each time (see my comment on no fast travel).
5. ...You know what.. ..I'm going to end it here...
My point is, this isn't the 1980's when Sierra Games expected constant back and forth running around to complete simple tasks, and expecting players to fill up ring-binders with copious notes. While King Maker 'may' be a fun game, I'll never know because I'm not going to torture myself by trying to play it until it becomes more "player friendly".
Good luck with your game.
Pro Tip: Trying to drag out game play by impeding forward progression with slow traversal mechanics and multi-step buffoonery is not clever game design. It's lazy and insults the players.
1. Fast travel, as in, call up the map with target locations (which you can't), click on a location, and you're there. Yes, I know there are a few quicker traversal methods, but it's still a lot of running around from point A > B > A > C > Etc..You’re clearly NOT doing your homework correctly, honey.
1: No fast travel? Cute. There’s bus, taxi, subway, recall bracelet, shoes of speed, plenty of ways to move faster if you actually played.
2: Open your little eyes, the map button is written in the escape menu, and you can access it anytime.
3: Read the damn tags before playing. Memory game is listed, and yes, there’s a TRANS tag too, just in case you planned to cry about that next.
4: Is this your first game ever? Lots of games do this. Please don’t try Elden Ring, you’d melt. Just so you know, the work place is the very first screen on your right, under ten seconds away. Blink and you’ll miss it.
5: Yeah, you should stop there, you clearly played less than three minutes and didn’t bother reading anything.
Conclusion: None of your points are really valid.![]()
Yeah, we have nothing to do with you. I’m not wasting my time arguing with a brick wall. Go your way and have fun with another game, if that’s even possible for you.1. 2. Map is there. Could be implemented better.
3a. Memory game? Yes. See my comments on copious notes / eidetic memory / 1980's
3b. Trans? Did I say a single word about kinks in the game? ...or is your trigger finger twitching and you're just waiting to pounce on a hater? ..imagined or not? Maybe get more comfortable with your own life choices and stop assuming everyone is out to attack you for those choices.. ..honey.
4. First game? Hardly. Remember my mention of Sierra Games? I've been playing computer games since their inception. Sierra, Microprose, Infocom, etc.. Ever play a game across multiple 5.25 discs? I'm been gaming on a computer for 4+ decades, so spare me your condescending attitude. And yes, I've played Elden Ring, as well as most AAA titles. This game (Kink Maker) is no Elden Ring. It's a fap game in it's infancy. Now, there's nothing wrong with fap games in development. They're meant to be problematic and riddled with 'could have' and 'should have' aspects. The point of these forums is feedback, right? Apparently offering mine is a problem for you.
5. I played enough to realize the grind and the slog are not worth the payout. Take a look around F95. Hundreds of games, all offering a fap-worthy experience. If you read my post fully, then you'd have notice I started with. "There is a truly great game at the core of "Kink Maker", but it is buried under a pile of poor mechanics and design choices.". Meaning, I didn't fully write it off as a total loss. The game has "good bones". I did, however, state that if it maintains the same pointless "go to A, then B, then back to A" over and over and over, then yeah.. ..I'll probably never get back to it.
In short, if a game makes you work very hard to get to the reward, it better be one hell of a reward. Understand your audience when you try to make a game that you want them to enjoy. I'm one of the audience; or am I?
If your initial response to criticism of your game is to say "nuh uh that's not real" then that's an enormous red flag to every potential player and it is not going to help improve anything. I don't know if it's continuous roleplay of the weird gimmick account but leaning into it is the wrong move here. You’re clearly NOT doing your homework correctly, honey.

It was actually invalid, honey. The game has a map, it has fast travel, and the mechanics are clearly explained in the game tags. I really don’t get why people click on things before reading. Traveling A to B to A to C is common in tons of games, especially grindy ones, so yeah, that point doesn’t work for me.If your initial response to criticism of your game is to say "nuh uh that's not real" then that's an enormous red flag to every potential player and it is not going to help improve anything. I don't know if it's continuous roleplay of the weird gimmick account but leaning into it is the wrong move here.
Randomly bringing up the trans tag is weird by itself but comparing your amateur dev kink game to elden ring is maybe the most audacious lack of self-awareness I've actually witnessed lurking here. Also, to be honest, this game had my interest at a point but this account gimmick has me rolling my eyes away from the download button.
You don't have to like criticism and you don't have to bend to every whim if it doesn't fit the way a design is planned. That said, the least you can do is consider what the criticism stems from and determine if that part of your plan is having an unintended effect on your player experience.
1 stems from player(s) feeling like their time is being wasted, respect player time.
3 stems from quality of life and again from respecting player time.
4, again, appears to reflect dissatisfaction with how player time is being spent. Starting weak and becoming strong and having the difference between the two be a satisfying contrast only actually matters if your players make it there without being frustrated to the point of giving up.
It's one post from one person but that doesn't mean it's invalid. Glean what you can from complaints and use it insteaad of discounting it.
I am not the DevI was gonna try this but after reading the dev’s response I’m not gonna bother. Thanks for saving me some time LoL
It is meant to be a grindy game though and it's not even that grindy. I have stated my issues with the game before. If you really want to see grindy games, just try any of night city production's games or something like time loop hunter. Bulge was a bit harsh with your criticism, but they do have have a point regarding fast travel: the bus, taxi and subway are all fast travel mechanics. No, your real criticism is that, you want to change the fast travel mechanics and make it simpler: With points on the map. It also coincides with your second point of making the map better. As for your 3rd point, it's called a memory game. It's a bit niche. But you don't need a "photographic memory" to play it. As for the pinnable objective? You just need to know the first objective and you can figure out the rest from the conversation. No the real issue is finding the damn characters. There is a bukkake mission where you need to find 4 people from all over the map. Based on your comment, I'm guessing you played only one or two of the characters mission and I guess its probably this one. Which i completely understand: Finding characters is a chore this game and I believe this one you had to find them in their correct order. I said it before, this game needs to improve its camera work, implement a gallery system, add more diverse kinks, since it's been a bit vanilla on the kink side (so far) and there is similarity in the kinks added so far, a better map( like you said) where you can see which all characters are there in one specific area( for instance, which all characters are present in the residential area). Another thing they can do regarding the memory game thing is the red light green light: Like when you are preparing the mixture, you pick the correct ingredient in the correct order, it gets a green light. Otherwise, it's a red light. That way, they can still keep the memory game aspect while also making it easier for the player. Basically, you do see the potential in this game and I do see the validity in some of your criticisms. But some of your points also strip away the identity of the game. Yes, the game is not polished and needs to be improved. That much is obvious. But it shouldn't come at the cost of losing its identityShrug. Doubling down is a choice. Good luck with your game, "honey".
You are still representing the dev, honey. As much as I like the kinky dominatrix act, you need to tone it down when you respond to critics, even if you don't agree with their points or find some of their points to be irrational. Not everyone likes a dick up their assI am not the Dev
