Been a few months since I last played this so I can't remember if I found out this answer already but I managed to escape from the minor prison-esc (one where you just keep getting put into bondage and fades to black before you find yourself placed randomly on the floor) and I managed to get fully untied and make my way back to where I got overwhelmed and taken to find my gear to find only a Magic Dagger. (which I didn't have) I did search around the rest of the floor (I had cleared it out prior to accepting the quest of defeating the rope kraken that I lost to) and couldn't find any of my gear.

So would I be right to assume that I have to accept that it's all lost and move onto the next floor to get my gear back (I have the settings give back lost gear when you move onto the next floor) or is there something I'm missing? I recall in the past I could get back my gear but that was from full on prison escape instead of this minor prison-esc escape I did.

If I recall, once they take your stuff, you need to go to the next floor to get it again. It is in the chest beside the shop statue.

Dang it.....I hope that changes in the future as it feels like an oversight you can't find your gear on the floor if you escape still on it. I understand it getting wiped off the floor when you get taken to the prison or leave it to go up to the shop since why would the game keep it loaded for just remembering that....but I feel like it staying that if you don't leave the floor so you aren't forced to move on to grab it all is an annoying thing...

Meanwhile people whom play without gear recovery say "GIT GUD" as they've had to deal with losing their gear a ton probably.

Thank you for confirming my fears/suspicions....glad I cleared out most of the floor and they don't take your cash so I can head back to the shop to get some basic gear to finish up the quests left to do as I go around collecting the blue orbs from the rope goddess.

I enjoyed the gameplay, art style and whole atmosphere, but I think it lacks some actual sex to be complete H-game. It arouses very much, but doesn't not let the player to finish on anything. I know that's part of the game design like "bdsm edging", but I don't think that some actual sex scenes (lesbian for example) would hurt the game.

Astrolucidity I think only Ravager Framework (which is pure text with new enemy models) and Corrupted Extended (currently broken it seems) mods attempt to add futa sex scenes of sorts that repeat.
Meanwhile I know that Pure Winds Tools mod has an lesbian scene as a result of losing to the added NPC Yadou though it's fully scripted if you lose the fight (during the fight they won't do anything sexual to you) but I haven't gotten past the 2nd floor yet since I keep resetting since getting a magic dagger or sword just feels essential to get early on that I don't want to move on...plus I am struggling with dealing with magical rope bondage. (I do have an run that's currently got a magic sword and are progressing through the 2nd floor now)

as long you had knife in weapon slot it would automatic used, and be sure read weapon description. some of them had pasive that help to escape some restraint. and also that crack can be destroyed by stronger explosive, it use full when the wall is only had 1 layer so you can pass to another room without rotating. since you cant die in this game you can stay infront of it but be sure no one around you because it will stun you for some time

All that really means is, if you're standing there, having bound arms doesn't incur the same penalty as when you're standing elsewhere for the purposes of cutting restraints with your weapon.

In other words: if you find yourself in a situation where you're tied up and the game won't let you use your weapon to cut yor bindings off, finding a crack in the wall can help you escape.

I would've never ever thought of this being the use for a cracked wall, thanks.

Finally actually made progress in the game after going with build advice from a few pages back; specifically grabbing Leather (for gags) and Metal (for cuffs), and using the two of them together most of the time to disable enemies instead of killing them (especially for enemies aligned to a certain faction, and ease of doing the 'tie up both sides' quest from Restoration Goddess).

When it comes to allies though, is there a way to have them not hit you and vice versa with ranged attacks/spells? I mean, they can shoot over allies and they seem to ignore certain aoes from allies, but between you and them, it's free for all. Most of the time I can deal with it, like when I get hit by a barrage of rubber bullets from my friendly machine gun Maidforce ally, but it gets real scary if I'm anywhere between the enemy and my Dress-Up Nurse ally, since getting hit by the sleeping syringe means I'm going to be out of action for a number of turns very soon. On the other hand, if they get knocked out and it's a tight corridor, I can't 'shoot over' them like my allies can since my attacks would just hit them instead. This usually ends up with me sitting around waiting for my other ranged allies to try to finish the job for me, or it turns into musical chairs where I'm walking in and out of enemy range while swapping with my downed ally.

Got through the whole game up to the final boss... man was this a trench war. I took the easiest difficulty, +10 trait points, and even got a buggy immortal familiar companion that couldn't get tied or die, and blocked all the narrow ways from enemy hordes, yet this wasn't a complete breeze, mostly because i didn't understand that you ONLY get spell points from quests randomly, so i've beaten the game though shock spell and unlock spells...

Current final boss is such a funny bullshit fight, the whole game is. If only it was more diverse in quests and dialogues... It severely lacked them, which is why i wasn't interested in doing quests on every floore, they're pretty much just "beat the shit out of those guys".

More mechanical variety would be nice, though I still don't really understand how to play the game, just kind of hoping for the best as I go along. A better explanation of how to progress in terms of getting stronger, how reputations actually work, and explaining why I would bother keeping restraints to use on enemies would be nice...

As far as I know...there is no way to have your allies not hit you with their attacks as I wondered the same thing where I had an Nevermere Trainer's Apprentice that kept spawning shock drones which while behind me shot shock balls out. While it is best to go ahead and stay out of their way for one time fights....in the end it's better long term if you actually get rid of them for an better ally since ones that do damage cost you faction reputation if they kill enemies instead of tie them up. (Shibari Witch OP for this as they only do binding attacks but are rare)

Ah yeah...despite the game having a tutorial it doesn't explain anywhere near enough with one aspect being spell points...on every floor there should be 4 spell points up for grabs from non-quests I believe (or 3) one is the blue orb statue's which you take a goddess reputation hit from (10% unless you go random where it's then 9%.....still very harsh) and an chest with a blue symbol on it usually requiring an magic key to unlock. (sometimes linked to an faction)
Due to these ways your pretty much set up to go into negative reputation with all factions over time since the events or stuff you can do to gain reputation are tiny and get easily undone via one accident kill when your trying to capture an enemy. (killing instead of capturing enemies does an -0.25% reputation hit usually)
Additionally the stuff you can spend your spell points on can be extremely bad at telling you how useful or useless they are since there's no sandbox/try before you buy area in the game. Some quests also just aren't worthwhile like Elves debating Catgirls...since that's 10 enemies to fight unless you spend a good bit of time doing hit and run tactics against highly evasive enemies.

This added on to the previous quote is why I dislike how this game is `versioned` as with most games and wish that they mostly switched to the since I played this game multiple times over the years (I think my earliest major version was either 2 or 3) the actual changes I think are more cosmetic/UI rather than game-play focused. (Also the tutorial being added) If you had played games like Bondage College or other games also made by Ben987 you'll understand where the inspiration for this game came from and how it works alongside why it's so punishing feeling.
Thankfully on the there's a channel where an user has been sharing their understanding of the game which goes very in-depth and is extremely helpful I've not yet gone through it all but have used it to get to quick information dumps on what I'm wondering about especially when looking at different locks and such.....I might try if I can get permission from the maker of the thread.

Whaaaa..? What's this set-up, this is exactly why i wasn't touching those. To think i'm supposed to be so unfriendly as to go and make more stuff hostile. Anyway spell points from those blue orbs is my bad, should've tried it, but CHESTS? Who, who shoved a spell point into a chest?

Guess i'm replaying it on NG+, that amount of spell-points sounds overpowered.
