Thanks for the quick answer muschi26, but I have tried talking to the nuns several times and they have nothing to say. They do a service in the morning, and there is nobody there in the evening. In the afternoon they are there with the abbott, but none of them have any option when I try to talk with them.
No, you need to either talk to the in the afternoon or show up at evening (different requirements for different quests), but you might need to do some other quests before those open up. The numbers don’t reflect the order in which you unlock the quests.

The witch will definitely be a love interest at some point. She even got second place during the “best girl” competition a few weeks back.

Yes. Save files are not compatible from one version to the next. You can however make a note of all the quests you’ve currently completed, then select “New Game Plus” in the new version, and check off all those quests to start off basically where you left off.
Bug? It looks more like post-modern art to me!
