Jump on his head using those molten pillars and hit down melee in air to ground pound him.
Finally got to the boss and even forgot the ground pound even exists. Last time I thought it could be useful was when I got the Fire attack, saw that melee seemed to have some fire in it and maybe the plant traps could be attacked with it.

Alright, I'm posting this here because this was the last of Kyrieru's games that I played. Sorry but I gotta rant...

This guy needs to stop making games. Of the three games he's made so far, none are fun to play. Don't get me wrong, the art, animation, and music are awesome. However, the gameplay/game design is terrible. Eroico is the only one I beat and I refused to play more of the other two.

Let's start with this one, Kurovadis. There's not even a map, which is pretty standard in these kinds of games. Controls are bad, a theme for their games. Platforming offers little leeway and often has blind jumps/drops. No i-frames is asinine. Enemy placement makes for too many BS moments where you literally have to get hit. Losing a power-up to getting hit is dumb, especially for the point above, and also is a theme in their games. Of course, the lack of a gallery for this game is especially dumb. Lastly, I only made it to the boss in a bubble before I quit.

What a terrible boss. It doesn't utilize your abilities at all (rolling through his attacks is ineffective since you can't roll through him and his attack is 1/3 of the arena length, and wall jumping is barely different than just jumping over him). Also, only doing 2 damage regardless of your damage is ridiculous. I got his health down to 1/4 and he still had his bubble. Is there another phase? Does he die immediately when his bar is depleted? No idea. Don't care to take 20 minutes per attempt to find out. Most Dark Souls bosses don't require this level of grind to beat. Between the lack of gallery and the wall that is this boss, I have no interest in playing more.

Aster is similarly problematic. Controlling the ship is ridiculous enough on its own but add in that sometimes the boost doesn't adjust to your change in direction and bumping into something sends you flying in the opposite direction and I want to break my monitor. Again, losing your power up to a hit is stupid, and if you spend money on stats and don't reach a checkpoint then the money you spent and the increase is gone. And scenes only unlock if you reach a checkpoint after seeing the scenes in-game. But at least there's a gallery system and I can get people's full saves.

Eroico is easily the best of the three. However, many of the same issues still persist but just to a lesser degree, like terrible enemy placement, losing power-ups, the controls being slow or wonky, too precise of platforming, blind jumps, and terrible bosses. Again, I beat this game because it's problems are less egregious than the other two, but that doesn't make it good.

Can I also point out that there is ZERO story in these? I get it. It's a porn game, but I like story. And if you're going to make a stupid-difficult porn game then why can't you take 5 minutes to insert a few lines of dialogue so that I know what the fuck is happening and what the objective is? These aren't ports of '80s games without the handbooks for crying out loud.

TL;DR
Kyrieru is a great artist/animator/musician but really needs to leave the gameplay aspect to literally anybody else.

I think he's got a fourth game in the works and maybe he's learned something at this point, but I won't hold my breath.

You can attack the domes at both ends of the area, which leads to the shield going down.

You don't need a complete save you can open the Save data file and edit your stats, place yourself wherever you want, even give yourself the items.

Even beating the game, there is no gallery mode to my knowledge.
how do you use it? I tried changing the save.txt
All it does is crash the game

The problem is this..WHEN HE WROTE THE CODE IN THE SAVE. HE WROTE IT AS ID FIRST THEN ROOM NUMBER

101 room ID
201 current room number

BUT IN THE SAVE PATTERN HE WROTE IT AS ROOM NUMBER THEN ID

cave_1: 243
ID: 34

You don't copy the Words Cave or ID

You just copy the numbers and paste them where they belong in the Jargon of text.

IE: 101 replace with 243, and 201 replace with 34.

after that save it then boot game back up load and you're in the location listed (the save spots).

Stuck at the "thorns climbing" area (the one in the "industrial segment", top path - with a moving platform and a single slime on the floor), either I'm missing some trick or it is tough af. Tried with gamepad only, and - either I'm dashing when I don't have to, or that guy at the top shoots me down ending my climb...

Apparently, now that Kyrieru has recovered from his health issues, he's planning on revising Kurovadis and releasing it on Steam. It'll apparently have new CGs and animations, which sounds good. Once he's done with it, he says he's going back to working on Noaika.

Uh, does anyone have any idea why the game is running like molasses on Christmas? The guy above said it started running normally after booting up the original demo, but that doesn't seem to be the case with mine?

Have you tried running the game with Compatibility Mode for Windows 7...?
This game was made around the time Win7 was the top OS for gaming...

Okay, I'm checking in again, because the game still runs like molasses in the dead of winter. Has anyone figured out why it's running so slow?

I just hope that this will get fixed in the Steam release...
