I'm guessing there is a problem with some objects in your game, that are causing the issues. Since this is virtually impossible to fix, I suggest starting a new game...(and make sure you download the latest beta, I've added some extra safeguards, but I don't know if they will suffice).
I'm sorry to report that the "missing employee" thing is still present in the most recent version (fresh install of both dev bugfix and mod files on new base game installation, downloaded about two hours ago, right around the time you did the "ophelia-reverted" commit). Had an employee disappear on a new day generation for no discernable reasons - she simply did not appear at work, was nowhere in the "city" locations, nor at her home (managed to get that unlocked as well). Since I had a quicksave from the previous day, that "fixed" it. However, some time later she disappered again. I don't think this is related, but this time it was after she did a seminar in the evening. Interestingly enough, she DID appear for the "reward" scene the next day (in the afternoon), but was not present at work since morning. I only now realized I forgot to check if her "work" (she was in supply) was getting performed or not - sorry. That aside, she did not appear the next day, either - luckily, your quickfix of reloading a save file did restore her, so thank you!

Also, I decided to play mostly without cheats this time, and a couple of things stood out as worth mentioning. Won't be surprised if you're aware of them, and some are straight up personal preference "issues," but figured why not:

That said, want to toss another huge "thank you" for all the work - especially considering it's the weekend ;)
The employee kids thing is random. Having the policy in place makes the RNG much higher, but it is still a bit random when moms will approach you asking for a job for their daughters.
My problem actually was the fact that I never did get the event with Sarah establishing the policy to trigger. Sorry about the miscommunication. Didn't even realize you could still get hiring events with moms without the policy in place, hah. Maybe bump the RNG with static bonus based on how "understaffed" the company is? So the more open positions, the more likely this - and Sarah's policy suggestion - both fire up?
For Starbuck's apartment, that has actually come up on the discord, so I need to check and see what is going on there. I would try taking her on a dinner date? That seems to be a sure fire way to get it.
Appreciate the heads-up, if this happens again I might try going for that fix. As is, I just restarted and decided to play less cheaty this time. Will take a bit longer to butter Cara up.

As an aside, you got me to finally watch Battlestar Galactica. Imaginary tables have been flipped, since I both loved and hated it. Kara herself got "kick the dog" treatment, goddamnit - literally driven to suicide just so some off-screen dumbass "I can create an entire technologically sophisticated space fighter and put it in specific point in space-time, but can't figure out a way of getting my 'messangers' to get in good graces of mortals without hijacking somebody's life so they can conveniently suicide when needed" "higher" being. Fuck. That. Shit.

Good show if you don't try to think about it, otherwise the whole plot is like Eastern European roads of olden Soviet times.

The trigger for that in the HR sessions IIRC is related to being well below maximum staffing. I want to say if you have more than 5 slots available, but I might be mistaken. Also, I loved most of the show, and when we were first watching the show together my SO compared me Starbuck because we had a lot of similarities (I used to have a drinking problem). It's a nickname that has stuck a little.

How it gets added
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
What you need to start
when passing a turn you need to trigger an event. Event % is a setting you can change.
tier >= 3
person.sex_skills["Vaginal"] >= 5
person.get_opinion_score("bareback sex") >= 2
person doesn't already have role (well not shit)
person.sluttiness >= 80
the sum of there opinion on "being submissive", "Vaginal sex", "crampies", "bareback sex" and lactation is >= 8
there fetish count is < your max fetish count in settings.

for employ
Evening time
Is work day.
you're at work.

for mom
Just happens randomly???

for lily
just has to be home in her room and alone

for rebecca
Impossible ATM.

for gabrielle
Impossible ATM.

for stephanie
Is Work day
stephanie is at work
15% chance to trigger

for emily
Impossible ATM.

for christina
Impossible ATM.

for Cara
You invested at least once.
Evening time

for sarah
Did the threesome event. (This takes a while to fully do. You also need her as your GF to do the event. Not worth TBH)

for ophelia
Impossible ATM.

for erica
Impossible ATM.

for candace (I think this is a personality type?)

for ashley
Impossible ATM.

This is all calculated on turn passes.
I'm trying to get this to work. I'm using lily as an example here as it seems it would be quite easy to trigger. I did use console commands to check if she meets the conditions. The only variable I'm suspicious about is the tier variable. I have research tier 4 (including some nora serums) but I am just not sure if the variable is declared properly as a "check" for this event. I'm not sure what the command for that is to check.

I've been trying to get this to work for quite a while now. Maybe it's just the breeding_fetish_quest that just never triggers. However, if I set the event % really high I only get countless of amounts of "HURR DURR THERES A TRAINING SEMINAR" events. I am wondering what I'm missing here.

Tier in this function is I'm pretty sure the person's suggestability. You need to use the serum while she is atleast 70 suggestibility. Also, its an on room enter event, so what should happen is if you keep feeding her the breeding serum, eventually when you enter her room it will trigger the event. It shouldn't be random. In the mod there show be an icon up for any room that has an event there to trigger.

Thanks for the heads up, I had no idea. I'll give it a shot!

SpikyHair thank you for your detailed information.

Unfortunately the seminar is not the cause (since no girls are moved in that event). If you have the latest version, you should notice that there is now a 'World x/y' in the upper left hand info panel. This shows all the known / total girls in the current game. When a girl 'disappears', this total number should drop. If you could find out the event / action that happens prior to this drop, could help find the issue (also try rollback to see if the number goes back up).

Thank you.

Thank you very much for that piece of information! Hilariously, managed to get "hiring offspring" policy fire off immediately right after starting the very first "search for a new employee" with Sarah this time around (simply bought the first two employee count upgrades to end at 4/19), and a mom asked to hire her daughter literally the next day. Not so amusingly, this hasn't repeated in over 60 days since then (and I keep trying to fill another position that way at 8/19 employee count :( ). Explains why couldn't get it to trigger before, though, I mostly don't invest money into expanded employee count until I need it (so usually tend to spend most time playing with just one or two slots open).

At the risk of unnecessary repetition, I'd really appreciate if you kind modding folks could take another look at the probabilities involved there, because it feels not just overly random, but probably shouldn't be restricted to such high number of "open employee slots" in the first place?

Personally, I think it would work that much better if there was a base guaranteed probability of "hire my daughter" event happening as long as there's ANY open employee slot and an ongoing hiring search. Ditto for Sarah's event suggesting implementing the "family hiring" policy. No idea what's currently coded in, but 10% as base chance doesn't feel too much. Perhaps use number of open employee slots as a bonus on top of that, so it's even faster? Maybe even add MC's charisma modifier to the final probability value, as well (more likeable a boss gets faster positive reaction to open hiring).

Anything to make this both less random in the first place, and an event which occurrence probability the player can actively affect (at least to a degree).
Unfortunately the seminar is not the cause (since no girls are moved in that event). Figured it wouldn't be the seminar event, since I had it happen a bunch of times without anybody going MIA.

Had an employee go missing again, and this time kept an eye for it happening. It occurred after a weekend (basically did not appear at work on Monday). Reloading an autosave that conveniently happened right in MC's bedroom Monday early morning did not reproduce the issue - this time she ended up being exactly where she was supposed to. The World count did decrease from 17/25 with her present to 16/25 when she went missing, so apparently she just turned "unknown" to the MC for some reason?

I had no interactions with her whatsoever through the entire weekend. The last that I recall was on Friday (and morning, at that), when I did my daily "compliments for EVERYONE!" rounds. Unfortunately, I don't -think- there were any further mid-day events involved with her (but can't say that with utmost certainty), but even if something I forgot happened, it would've been an event occurring regularly without any such issues to make it somewhat improbable as being the cause.

I'm wondering if it may not be some kind of crisis event not firing off properly, considering how rare this seems to be (at least in my games). Though so far I've been playing with 2-3 "non-custom" NPCs employed (which might explain why I'm only losing them one at a time, not en masse as others reported), and so far this ONLY involved procgen characters rather than the unique ones. Considering this means an "unique to random NPCs" ratio of 1:1, if it IS a random event, it probably means one that excludes the uniques (or I'm getting an abnormal RNG streak). For the record, I'm playing with random events settings of 30/15 (so somewhat higher than default).

I'll keep trying to figure it out, but there does not appear to be any regularity involved from user's perspective (at least one other disapperance also involved a character I'm rather certain - though not completely sure - that was not involved in any specific interactions anywhere around the time it happened, either), and I'm far too clueless to do any kind of dependable variable tracking for you :(

No, no, as always, thank YOU kind folks making the game an even better one <3

Incidentally, is there any chance you could introduce, at least for the dev branch, some kind of event interrupt for when the World count drops?

You know, something along "girl went missing, abort, ABORT!" big-ass notification to make hunting this issue down easier? I play with "Clean memory Every Game Day" on, so there's only so much rollback I can do, and even with the very handy World count it's not exactly UI element I keep constant track of. Having this kind of automated notification at the exact point it happens would also help reduce all the otherwise potentially misleading information thrown at you, no matter how well-intended.

Don't know about others, but I'd certainly welcome this kind of gameplay interruption until this rather serious problem is resolved, especially if it's exclusive feature of dev branch anyway.

First of all, thanks to the modders for the great added content.
I have added the latest mod version 33.4 to the game version 33.3 and it crashes as soon as I change locations. Any suggestion?

You must also get the bug fixes to make the mod work.

I think I have located the code responsible, can't find out why exactly it goes wrong, for now it has been disabled, a few people are testing it atm, if you like you could do the same, by downloading the beta version.

In addition to a1fox3 remark, start a new game, the get_destination() function was added in v0.33.x so older games won't work.

When I ask my bank to fix their page scripts to let me log in with Firefox they tell me to "use Internet Explorer" (apparently they aren't aware it's been discontinued for... what, years now?).

Meanwhile, here's a voluntary modder of a porn game doing the awesomesauce job you're doing.
Appreciate the heads up, going to download it right now. <3

I was wondering, are unique characters handled differently by the pregnancy code than the randomly generated ladies?

I encountered the following bugs, only with the uniques:
- Jennifer, Nora: delivery day came and went, no change in child counter, character not resetting to pre-pregnancy render, delivery day disappeared
- Rebecca: delivery day came and went, no change in child counter, no pregnancy render aside from bigger boobs, delivery day disappeared
-Stephanie: normal pregnancy aside from bigger boobs not going back to standard size

I then tried to restore Jennifer to pre-pregnancy status by console, and it seems as if her body stats from before weren't stored as intended.

Playing 0.33.3 with current bugfix and master release of the mod for this installed.
Could there be a function/crisis implemented to the cheat mod to forcibly reset those character's to their starting appearance? Just a thought.

Edit: nevermind, found UnknownPokemon's post in the vanilla game thread.
Edit 2: ...and it doesn't work. Meh.

Hello,

I believe some of the images might be missing from the "full game download" link

Every time i start a new game, i get this error (or one very similar to this).

Code:

Did you install the mod and bug fixes or did you download the full game with mod and bug fixes already installed.

I got the full game with mod and bug fixes already in and it works just fine for me.

I download the 'PC-Linux-Mac" Mega link under "Full Game Downloads"
Extracted all contents. And tried to run it.

A few screens in, i get this error.

I did not download anything other than that mega link.

What kind of Graphics you have on your computer? Lab Rats 2 is memory-heavy and at least for me it doesn't run if I have too much stuff on memories...
