So vren wants to build the game before putting in the story and fully fleshed out sex. What's wrong with that? The games a beta till complete. There are also a billion other games to play. Just wait for it...
The problem is that the game he is building is fucking terrible. Overly complicated and full of nuisances for no benefit.

And since the story and the fleshed out sex is not there, you end up with a crappy sequel to an awesome game, which ends up having bad reviews from game 1 fans, go figure....

I don't think this has anything I would call spoilers in it. I mention some game mechanics and strategy but... not sure I can really spoil a game which doesn't really have a plot so to speak (at the moment.)

Here's my 50c worth of thoughts.

I'm going to be the dissenting voice here for all the nay sayers.

So let me get the negatives out of the way:
1. The clothing and models could use more work and variety. (Although that seems to be work in progress on both fronts.)
2. The game can use more story. This update is adding some and it is much needed.
3. The way skills/stats result in progress needs to be more hover over documentation or similar. It's not super obvious why one person makes 12/x's per phase and someone else makes 40. I've figured it out and have to keep a notepad around because it's not documented on all the screens you may need that information.
4. There is a lot of dead space on the current map where nothing can be done. We have an entire town that nothing can really happen in. I'd suggest marking a lot of that space "Under development" to prevent new players from wasting a lot of time trying to see if something MIGHT happen.
5. Relationships need rebalancing. It's hard to get started and then trival to harem everyone in sight. It's too slow at the start and too fast in the end.

Neutral things: Personally I actually like a lot of the models. Art is never going to make everyone happy all the time and maybe that's just the way of things.

But ok. Here's where I disagree with many of you.
Positives:
1. I enjoy building games and having lots of choices about how to approach the way the game unfolds. (The game needs more viable possibilities but much like Superpowered, there is an evolution. (And Superpowered is too grindy. This is too grindy RIGHT NOW due to lack of interesting stuff along the way but that seems to be coming.) This may sound like a negative but I see it as "headed in the right direction."
2. I agree that its hard to feel meaningful connections to many randomly generated people in the game. More special people/randoms with properties/personalities, etc... may help with that. A more meaningful interaction would be good. But this is evolving and it does appear to be getting better. (Although, I need to be able to improve existing people more easily. Right now, the best strategy is get basic people... then when you unlock more efficient people... fire all the basic people. It's hard to feel attached to someone you're planning on firing as soon as you find an improvement.)
3. The whole no content comment I sorta get but mostly don't. It wouldn't be the first game where you make the goals for your sandbox. You want to focus on corrupting Sue in accounting, you can do that. I like not having every choice spoon fed to me. (Frankly, there are a ton of games on here that offer no real choice in how to play them. Either the story unfolds linearly with no real choice other than some dialogue adjustments or there is only one correct line of play. Some forgo that and don't bother to allow player choice at all. This is a Sandbox. The first game wasn't. There were limited choices in the first game and more or less everything was going to unfold in a specific way with minor adjustments to the text and in a semi-randomized order at times. If you don't enjoy sandbox games then this would probably be a pass. I wouldn't ask someone who doesn't like Sports titles to review a new football game.
4. The game continues to get new enhancements actively. It is progressing to a place I think I'm going to really enjoy playing multiple times. (Which is part of what I love about sandboxes.) If there isn't enough for you to "do" in the game yet... come back after more development.

Frankly, I think hoping this was a clone of Lab Rats (1) was clearly stated to not be the goal. It's connection to the original is mostly in the concept of producing behavior altering chemicals. In the end, it's a business simulator with sexy time. If that isn't your type of game... there are about a million RenPy games on here with a plot of "corrupt your innocent Mom/Sister/Aunt" titles you may enjoy better.

Poopooing a new game concept based on the development state and it not being a retread of the old game is pretty lame. We need MORE variety in this space and MORE ideas tried. And bashing this one far more harshly just because the developer already had a successful game is particularly strange.

I have faith this is going to end up being a great and wholly unique game in this space. I wish it had some more kinks in play... but those may also come in time.

I love this game a lot, and loved the first Lab Rats a lot, too.

Honestly at this point the only thing that feels like it's missing is the opportunity to impregnate the girls like in the first one, but since this is an 'endless' game give it narrative consequence, rather than just part of an ending like in LR1. Give me that and I'd be happy for a while.

Though some more variation in the characters would also be nice. I do see the limitation there, when the files are copying that's a shitload of pngs.

The game really needs to cut it's self loose a bit like have some crazy serums that do wacky things spice it up a bit. It needs a little more game little less management.

to be honest. i don't understand the management in that game...

i set up employees for selling, production and getting supplies (they are all reasonably good in their roles). i try to sell the very first drug that has no suggestion buff but more profit. and i do get supplies and they are used, but i only get 5 batches per fucking day... why? i could easily get enough money if that girl i hired would actually make fucking batches and if those batches would put automatically put in stockpile for sale instead of in my fucking company inventory...

when i make batches on my own, i lose some of my supplies but sometimes don't get new batches. wth?

I encountered similar issues in earlier versions of this game until I learned to do the office work in the main office or hire a human resources employee. If I didn't do that my efficiency would rapidly deteriorate and my consumption of money and supplies would be disproportionate to my production.

For moving inventory from production to company stockpile to sales, I found that what was automatically moved to the sales inventory was dependent on the thresholds I set in the production room. Additionally, the sales inventory needs a employee in marketing to move it, or the MC/player must do it manually.

I hope this helps.

I've been encountering a largish group of errors when I unpack this game after downloading it in the last two versions. I'm wondering if it has anything to do with the fact that I'm using windows 7. The game will run, but there are a lot of errors that I keep having to "ignore".

It's not Lily as you know her. It's a very generic Daz model, like all the other models. I'm sure he'll get around to making the models look better as development goes on. Game has a lot of promise, but there are a lot of kinks to work out right now.

i always had more than 90% efficiency, so...meh. still could only produce 5 stupid batches a day with a girl in the production line.
i had a girl in the marketing line.

I have found that i am able to change the eye colour (only the description, the eyes are part of the face) with person_choice.eyes=u"blue" (or green or brown...).

Is there also a console command that lets me switch the face-type between the types face_01 to face_06?

Besides i always enjoy playing the game, it is clearly different to others and shows much promise, thx Vren

@Vren ... in case you read this here:

I found a bug with the clothings from Jennifer and Lily (Mother+Sister). After Sex and some stripping they mostly forget what clothings they had on and do not put them back on. Which leads to a problem that they have no propper clothing to dress (slut cap lower than messed up clothings) and then they get somehow black (standard?) clothing (capri pants, shirt, bra, panties, shoes) which the player cant delete because they are not in their list for clothings. The player needs to delete the messed up clothing too (because to high slut lvl) and reassign the propper ones (with matching slut lvl).

And a question: Why the game has this rather annoying hickups when you skip the text with Strg? It stopps the textflow for up to 3 seconds without visual reason (no change in background or char or something like that)

1) Interaction With NPC's IE. complements & flirting Etc.
2) this can be done by giving them Doses of drugs"that have a certain side effect" & Sex the more sex raises the Yellow hearts Yellow Count.
3) Sorry I've just started a new game myself :)

Its not a bad game actually I see alot of potential for it. I've been tinkering around with it. As for now its not really storyline more sandbox type game. As far as increasing sluttiness and obedience the main research chick you get has a special option that lets you unlock new research options. Once I did that there were serums that could increase obedience and sluttiness. The way I understand it the may way is to use suggestion serums to have a chance to increase sluttiness permanently.
