Give the developer some time!!! Stories from the thoughts to turn into something useful takes some time. Creativity lasts, and bringing the images and the action into harmony is certainly not always easy. Film productions also last usually 2 to 3 years from concept to radiation and there are thousands of helpers at the start!!!

i think most peoples argument about the how short the demo/prologue was, is directly proportionate to the amount of world and character building it provides. none.
basically, most of us cant express interest or disinterest based off the demo cause it was too lacking to take anything from. well aside from killing off the gf so lazily, and the mc just standing there like an idiot.
i mean based on that bit, theres no need for more story, we all know what happens. gf gets eated, mc stands there and watches like a dope, or scared paralyzes, and gets eaten next. the sisters and mom who left him to die were justified in abandoning the one person who they knew would otherwise drag them all down and get em killed.

"safe" harem of survivors? no harem at all and you gotta choose? main LIs get ntred by monsters and bandits, while side LIs gets eaten and shot?
there are so many flavors of this type of games, would be nice to know which one is it

theres a solid foundation here but the end text suggests a sandbox is coming.... Id really suggest avoiding that at all costs. 95% of the time theyre just annoying and detract from the game

A lot of people seem to have a problem with the mc watching his girlfriend die. Fight, flight, or freeze is a real thing in traumatic events. You never know how you're going to react in a real situation. I don't mean this to sound condescending, but unless you've actually been in a life or death situation, you don't actually know how you'll react to one. These are things that are innate to a person and isn't something to scoff at or mock. A lot of people have to actively train themselves out of freezing in high stress situations.
I actually think it's a decent, if shorthanded way for the developer to give the mc a motivation for taking the leader and protector role. The first choice in the game is literally the mc expressing that he doesn't care about his own health or wellbeing as long as his family is safe. That's a classic self destructive trait of survivor's guilt. Each of the characters are suffering from trauma and dealing with it in different ways. This was a good way for the developer to give the mc a self destructive flaw to be cautious of.
Most people in the developed world will likely never be put in a situation where they realize which of fight, flight, or freeze is their natural reaction, and often everyone thinks they'll be John Wick when the shit hits the fan. Most are not. Just something to consider from someone who has had more than their share of harrowing situations.

I wasn't the big fan of killing the gf. But what upsets me more is it seems like Grace died too, since we just leave the camp. I liked her a lot. I hope she got out and we find her later, otherwise that would suck a lot.
Also yeah, please don't do sandbox, a linear story works better. If dev wants some small freeroams like I can handle that, but full sandbox would ruin this.
