As to all the debate about Rin maybe having a relationship with Both MC's.
My Opinion is, have is as a possible choice in the game.
Something that the player can decide to go with, or turn down.
I love how she's pissed off about being turned down while talking to the MC in Serenity.
Either that, or just go with it, I don't know if many player's have thought about it, but if she is in a relationship with both MC's, she may even have a threesome with them both sometime lol.
Point is the possibilities are endless.
Or they may visit The Inn together lol.
Anyway loving your games as always, make it the way you like it, take our suggestion's, or not.

I've been on hiatus from this site for a while now, but I am SO glad that this game is still in development, you have no idea. I genuinely cried (mostly because I overthink story) at a certain point of the story, hell I'm pretty sure I cried multiple times. While I may not be playing AVN's right now - I plan on returning quite soon and I am very excited that this game has more content for me.
So N2 - Thank you, seriously. You're an incredible creator and your game (among others, but that's neither here nor there) has helped to remedy my depression, even if it distracted me from the dark for a few hours, those are hours of my life you have objectively made better. I know you made a post a while back about having some struggles yourself, and I truly hope you're doing better. I've just been really struggling these past few weeks and I know how hard it can be.
I hope to recover soon, and I pray you never lose your spirit.

I can relate to what you're going through. I have also been on that search for my personal, peaceful place. Take your time. There are plenty of us out here just taking it day by day. I guess you could say that creating this stuff has become one of my peaceful places. Once you get a few of those, it does get easier my friend. So hang in there. I never understood depression until I realized it was happening to me. You don't know you're in hell when you're living it. Anyway, keep your head up and look for those things that occupy your heart and mind. I am pulling for you to feel better.

Last Human: Episode 5 (Devlog 3)
Hello my friends,
Work on Last Human - Episode 5 has been going great. I am well ahead of schedule at this moment. In contrast to my previous updates and the time they took, this is night and day. I am finishing up the end of scene 4 now, which is super long. There are 19 scenes total for this episode, each varying in size. But this was the biggest one. If all continues to go well, we should see a beta release sooner than recent releases.
As you know, I recently rebranded myself as "N2TheFire Games" with plans to spread my Neko stories further out. Branching out this way will hopefully get me a bit more exposure. I am not looking to get rich off of a game that is ultimately free. But I'd still like to branch out and spread my wings a bit. As it is, by using HS2 for my graphics, I cannot actually "sell" my games anyway due to license/copyright issues. Any income I earn is completely dependent on people like you who decide if I am worth subscribing to. Which is why I am so adamant about thanking you guys for that support almost every time I post something. Even if it's just $2 bucks, it means a lot to me that people will give up some money for me. So as always, thank you so much for that!
Anyway, as part of my expansion, I am in the process of putting my games up on OppaiMan. Some of you may have heard of it, there are a lot of similar adult games posted there. It's a nice, clean site with some great search options and connections to Patreon for devs. Currently,

I have prepared my Last Human addition there as well but will wait until the current release I am working on is completed.I'm sharing 2 preview images from our event with Alaina. We'll meet her mother, who is the richest woman in Pantheria. Sorry, you'll have to wait to see her in the game lol. Alaina has been reworked slightly, nothing too drastic. Just some touch-ups to her face and eyes. No changes to her body/measurements. I did change her skin because the one I had on her wasn't good. But doubtful you'll notice a huge difference. She does have a new hairstyle (hair up) which I think makes her look super cute (you tell me). Alaina is probably the character with the least interaction so, hopefully I've made up for that with her long event.

Last Human: Episode 5 (Devlog 4)
Happy weekend my friends. This update is going a lot faster than what you're used to. I know Last Human fans had to wait through the Serenity update as well, but the development time is going to be shorter at least. I've been making some minor changes to most characters, mostly to the face because I discovered that the mouth on a lot of them looked really strange when using certain expressions. This kind of change will be hardly noticeable. But I made a pretty big change to one character - Sabrina. She was the blonde (only blonde for that matter). But now there are no blondes (yet). I changed her hairstyle completely and recolored it. I just didn't like the hair I chose for her. The bangs and the back were too unmatched, so her hair always looks messed up. Now she has a simpler and more solid hairstyle. Sabrina has big boobs. I decided to keep them the same. I chose to do my characters in the classic 'colored' styles older AVN's were known for. I like this because it seemed easier to remember who is who (to me anyway). Sabrina's color is pink. And with the pink eyes, she didn't really look that great with blonde hair. At some point, I'll go back through older images and re-render those with her new card.
In my future projects, I will move away from this varied color for characters and go with a more realistic and traditional look. We may have an actual brunette, redhead, blonde, and possibly even some girls with color added to her hair outside of those... but only for hairstyle. No more color-matched clothing. For example, in the new AVN I mentioned (Viral Affair), the main love interest will be a redhead (I think - I have a few versions of her and really haven't decided yet). It's possible I will ask upper tier patrons to vote on her appearance when the time comes to work on VA.
Anyway, back to Last Human. I'm currently working on a scene with Sabrina and Queen Tessa where she is nervously getting ready for Captain Trent's arrival. Trying to decide what to wear, trying to get her place spotless and clean. Sabrina tries to reassure her that everything will be fine. Before his visit, Queen Tessa decides to follow an ancient tradition where a courting future king is fully bathed and pampered before meeting his future queen. That task will fall to Valerie, who at some point begged Tessa to allow her to play that role. Ordinarily, Queen's Blades do not perform these kinds of duties, but she made an exception since Valerie had just joined the Blades. So, we'll have a fun scene with Valerie just before we get to Tessa. There won't be any sex with her because it isn't allowed until the last 'pet' has been completed. However, Valerie has an interesting kink to make things interesting - she likes to be watched. So, a bath and a show, hehe...
By the time I finish this scene, I'll be about 30% through the rendering process. Not bad! Two more scenes after that will put us at just a bit beyond the halfway point. Like I said, moving along pretty good this time. That's all I have for this week. I love you all! ...Fire

Food for thought, if I was a Dev, I could see myself making the MC look a bit like myself.
I wouldn't be surprised if the Dev look's like N2, or someone who is a good friend of his.
So I have no problem with how the MC look's.
Plus it's nice that in this game you can see the MC's face, many games they hide the MC's face.

This is a good topic, and I have varied feelings on it...
The MC in most HS, HS2, and AI games is simply ugly, no matter what we do. There are a few decent ones out there and I have the cards for them, but I just never switched him over to that. And no, the MC wasn't made to look like me (and I doubt any dev out there does that, but who knows?)
I show the MC's face in this game because I want to see his expression in certain situations also. In LH, this mainly happens during the courtroom-like event with the council when Rin kinda pisses him off and bites back. I wanted to show a little anger on his face so that the reader is aware it was meant to be that way.
On another note, I don't normally like to show the MC's face because it's just too difficult to make a good looking male in HS2. I'm not saying it can't be done, just maybe I'm not skilled enough with that yet.
Sometimes, it really works when you show the MC's face. Good example: The Inn - In that game, Mike (the MC's default name btw) is just hilarious. Lykanz does a great job with his facial expressions. With the funny situations in that game, it just works so well. I laugh my ass off every time something funny is happening and we get to see Mike's silly face reacting to it. I don't know what it is, but it just works in his game.
On the other hand, some MC's are deadass ugly as hell. Now & Then - Great story (not a fan of the questionable almost incest romance situation but awesome story telling). That guy is really ugly, and you never really see his face. It's that freaking hair man. He's like Shaggy's long lost cousin. And it's like... orange or copper colored which makes it even worse. In a few scenes, you catch a very slight glimpse of his face, and you'll notice he is wearing glasses too. Glasses are fine, but they didn't fit the character to me.
Finally, in Pale Carnations - Killian (Ian), the MC's best friend is a decent looking male character made in HS1. Considering this is GIL who does the graphics here, this should be no surprise. The guy does amazing work. Even the MC doesn't look too bad.
In my next game, I want to see the MC and plan to make one that doesn't look ridiculous (if that is possible). I have tried a few and they look okay. There are quite a few mods I need to catch up on though, so there may be some better stuff out there to help with this. Of course, the main thing is that I never want to see his face during any sex scene, period. I prefer a first-person view, maybe with one or two extra camera angles.

Hey everyone! Yes I'm sorry, it's been a rather long quiet spell from me since my last post. I've had a lot of rather odd things come up on me at once, so I have been pretty busy.

- First, let me get this out of the way... Many of my followers recommended I try this kinetic AVN, Cosy Cafe. I rarely play these things during development time, but I needed to take a break to clear my head. So, I did and wow, what a great game! Cosy Cafe has you taking on the role of a young man who is trying to reopen his grandfather's old cafe. Sounds like your 'run-of-the-mill' visual novel, right? Well, not really. Along the way, you meet various girls who you end up bringing on to help run the place. Each girl has a very well written and developed character. In fact, the character development here is so spot on that after a while, you could recognize who is talking if you couldn't see the name or image. Each character also has some backstory, including the MC himself, which the story revolves around. His family history comes into play here as he learns that he is the rightful head of one of several families who basically have run the town for many years. This story has everything... bad guys, good guys, happy times, sad times, funny times, and of course, sexy times. Spankings and buttplugs are here as well. Although not really my thing, it's well done. Anyway, I highly recommend giving it a try. It took me a couple of days to get through the large amount of content already here, so should keep you busy for a while!Alright, now on to my own game, Last Human. Although I had a bit of a slow-down since my last devlog, I am not behind. I think I had pushed and done so much, I just had to stop for a bit and focus on some other things I had going on with family, my house, and my full time job. But I am right back on track with about 30% of the renders completed for episode 5. One of the things that came up during the last few weeks was I noticed an issue with the story in 2 of my scenes and needed to sort of rewrite that. Mostly just some minor continuity issues. But that is resolved now also. Today, I'll be rendering those scenes along with a couple more animations. If all goes well, I may actually post some release dates before the end of this month.
You may see a new menu choice with this update, which will end up being the episode chooser at some point. I want to implement this for Last Human for sure because I think it would be cool if you could just go replay a favorite episode again without having to create saves manually. I am not devoting a lot of time to this right now, just prepping the area a bit, if you will. Trying to visualize it. We'll be up to 5 episodes with this update, and I have 9 planned before I start on season 2 (which will be a separate game to minimize the size).
Speaking of season 2 (yes, that answers so many of you who have asked - there will be a season 2 of Last Human) - once this first season of LH is completed, before work begins on season 2, I will probably knock out some smaller side-games that I need to get out of my system. Camilla being one of those. I also have another project called Viral Affair which I may try to work on as well. VA is a really good story I think, nothing like it out there so it will be a fresh new idea, and I think the AVN world needs more new ideas. As for Serenity, we're getting down to the last few episodes of chapter 2, then I will set that aside for a while to focus on everything else. But... Serenity fans don't panic. I have come up with a fresh new idea for a new chapter to follow it up. I am really excited about this idea, it may be one of my best yet. And I am SO tempted to spoil the surprise but I'm going to hold it in! We're a long way from that of course, but I'll give you the title I came up with so that you can ponder that until the time comes LOL - Serenity: The Legacy.
