Also - what do you guys believe are the biggest strengths and weaknesses of the game? One thing that we really struggled with developing the game was figuring out exactly what people cared about - something we've had many heated arguments about. "Do people REALLY care about the stereo mixing of the ambience? Should we instead spend this time adding more environment pixel art? How about the UI? Or should we ONLY focus on the H-content?". This is the kind of thing that sounds really easy until you start working on something yourself for months and months.
Inventory UI needs some work, but you likely already know that. Equipment slots are missing the bare minimum of indicators for what they do and what we're getting out of them.

Fundamentally the core loop contradicts itself. Right now the only way to get H-content is to play badly and lose fights. Meanwhile, the smooth controls and lack of input delay mean that you Really want the player to be playing well and bouncing around like a maniac, never getting hit. This puts the design at odds, as we both want to do well to progress through the game, but also it's a porn game so being able to experience the porn would be nice too. An alternate path to experience the H-content would be great, even something silly like a monster taxidermy where we unlock scenes to view after defeating X number of an enemy.

Please don't take this the wrong way, but you have lovingly and meticulously built the art for the town and backgrounds, and as porn addicts we just don't have the ability to meaningfully appreciate it. I'd bet that you could put way less effort into that and get the same return even if that time/effort doesn't go into building content.

It's also a first for me to see different outfits in an AICG game that are layered and well-fit. Nicely done.
[...]
I'm glad to see someone has developed some techniques to get it working; I'm curious about the workflow. It gives me hope for future games.
The development of this entire game was honestly a huge learning experience when it came to workflow. We're planning on explaining the workflow, and probably demonstrating it. We haven't really decided on exactly how yet. We managed to figure out a workflow that makes it relatively "trivial" to create plenty of different outfit options for a character. Without AI adding the outfits would've taken three times as many artists and four times as long.

"Professional game developers" using AI-art, it's the beginning of the end.
If it makes you any happier, this is the first game we've used generative AI tools for art. For better and for worse, I believe that AI tools are going to become the norm in game development and art in general. If misused it is definitely not perfect, this very game contains many a flaw that demonstrates that. But with experience and the correct workflow, people that refuse to use tools that are useful to that degree simply won't be able to compete in the long run.

Me, myself, the programmer of this game have been quite stunned myself with what recent AI development has done. ChatGPT, for example, is nowhere near being able to just "make a game" just how Stable Diffusion is nowhere near able to just "make game art" - but both of them are already *insane* force multipliers, and would affect the world greatly even if they didn't continue to develop.

None of us can help but feel incredibly impressed at times, but also quite afraid at times.

All fantastic feedback, really!

Honestly, yes the Inventory UI REALLY needs some work. It's kind of what we ended up with after planning to have over a hundred different items. We really put the focus on the wrong area there I believe.

I've oftentimes seen people complain at forums that they have had to lose in order to experience the H-content, but this is not something I've been bothered by in the games I've played so I believe my bias must've affected that. However, your analysis of contradictory design really describes the issue well. I think I'll be tinkering with that!

Please don't take this the wrong way, but you have lovingly and meticulously built the art for the town and backgrounds, and as porn addicts we just don't have the ability to meaningfully appreciate it. This is probably the most valuable area of feedback - what areas are the most important to you all? Like, would you have appreciated the game just as much or more if the combat, movement, and pixel art was awful - but the overlays and CG were way better? Honestly, just an "off the top of everyone's head" list of things that are more or less important would be incredibly valuable to us!

Personally I'm very interested in this project. Reminds me a little bit of Wings of Roldea which has to be one of my favorite games on this site! Like the other users said though, definitely a couple of things that could use some tweaking. I disagree with the idea that you need to sacrifice combat, movement, and pixel art for the sake of good CGs. If anything, I know some titles will still reward players with CGs by playing well. Maybe defeating a certain number of enemies or completing a certain zone should unlock them in a gallery or arena type of area? I also think that gradually increasing the amount of cum that is present after multiple ejaculations in the cut in CG would be a nice addition.

Regardless, I hope this project continues since I'm always in for more games like this!

I can see Ai becoming like asset packs. Good developers will bring the assets to the next level, bad developers will recycle content.

Not saying you're either or, just thought I'd throw that general thought on AI out there.

Man, AI art just does nothing for me. You can't help feeling something's off whenever you look at it, and they all look very samey. It's difficult to describe, but characters generated in this style look "dead".
I think it's more of people using the same AI, with default settings without any real magic. that's why they all look the same.
Here are a few AI art I found elsewhere. That looks absolutely amazing.

I was so excited when ai art started because I thought it could be used to create whatever you're thinking of. But it can only recreate whatever it was trained on making everything look the same. Maybe if we had a ton of different models that made actually unique looking art but instead it seems everyone uses the same model or training data set.
Why do you think it's an AI? I don't see hints of an AI here.

Haven't played the game yet, but my take on the AI usage is that it's fine, as long as it's not abused.

Realistically, using AI is genuinely hundreds of times faster (and hopefully much cheaper) than waiting for artists to finish commissions. If you use this saved time and money to touch up the game itself, I'm personally all for it.

Essentially, I don't particularly mind the the art is "soulless", so long as the rest of the game is fed more than enough soul to make up for it.

Heyo everyone!

Been interesting reading through your replies. Really, thank you a lot. It would love to be involved in discussing the game.

First thing first, some things that I'd like to immediately address though is:

A. What is available for upload here is just the demo of the full version. A sample to see if it runs well and that the core of the game is interesting for you.

B. Only the demo and the DLSite version are censored; the full version is not.

C. Although AI was used in our workflow, nothing in the game has been *purely* AI generated. A lot of the art is created ground up barely touching AI, other stuff used AI as a core foundation. However all of it have gone through plenty of work from our talented artist.

Working AI-use into our workflow was really a learning experience - some parts I believe we totally nailed, and others not so much. I get where some of you are coming from with your feedback. A bunch of those little quirks you're spotting are probably from the early days of the project, when we were just getting our heads around the tech. And yeah, we kinda jumped in at the deep end and took on more than we could handle at the start, which we then had to scale back. Would love to discuss people's opinion on it!

Also - what do you guys believe are the biggest strengths and weaknesses of the game? One thing that we really struggled with developing the game was figuring out exactly what people cared about - something we've had many heated arguments about. First of all, thanks for such an amazing game, even though there is not much in demo, just the embient and the art are magnificent<3. Am i right that a full version is ready for sale and this is just a bate? Cause i got hooked up.
Now about the game, it's hard to talk about pros and cons from this demo, art is cool, game works smoothly. One thing is a lack of any gameplay info inside the game. Not that is is not intuitive or simple enough, but rather an abscence of anything in a middle of a screen telling me what i need to push to do stuff, though it might as well be me being picky. The item menu is strange but nothing out of place, though lack of elixirs as an incombat heal is strange for such game.
About strange things, save works but it doesn't(screen flashes, nothing happens exept if saved with cloathes they will be granted back and you get cloathed elf with a creampie) . Somewhy it feels as reason for that would be Demo. Have no idea how to replenish stamina outside of heal, once again, i believe it's a doing of a Demo. Values of drop and the items price, once again...There is a little point is mentioning H stuff as graphics are nailed, but i do sure hope that there will be variations and "colaborations" in H animations, and could you, pretty please, explain me why there are 2 bars for her orgasm?(I got the gist of what they do, my question is more of "will be there a status window or will sensetivity stat stack and have some impact on a gameplay such as some noughty dialoge lines or something of sort?") Lastly i would like to inquire, if there will be magic or skills? Cause i did not see any slots nor ingedients for it and there was a succubus mentioned, which make me break as i am used, at this point, that they are a part of the same concept:D. Once again thank you for this awesome work:3

or it would end up just melding all of it into a new singular style like soup actually soup might be the best way to describe AI art like its form isnt ugly (unless its the early stuff of nightmares) but most soups look the same iv nver looked at a soup and though this soap looks way different then the other soup like sure you might see some corn or potato in it that wasnt in the last one.
but visually who cares its soup its warm its cheap and it takes little skill to make (if you fuck up soup it means you wernt stirring annove)

So is this a quote on quote "proof of concept" to generate feedback to use in ongoing development or a teaser to advertise the assumedly completed full game to this community?

Using AI to generate things is kinda like using autotune in music industry, nowdays most artist do it but it makes songs bland and generic, with same elements that are used everywhere else, taking off that orginal aspect that could be made. That being said everyone is doing it nowdays so i guess thats the sad future awaiting us.
Game itself has potential but as i said, even on screens everything looks the same which make you bored very fast even for a demo.

I do have to give credit that, at least in the preview images, it's fairly self-consistent. Someone did some good work to keep it reigned in between different images of the MC. It's also a first for me to see different outfits in an AICG game that are layered and well-fit. Nicely done.
You're honestly giving them way too much credit there. It's just a very basic and poorly done paperdoll job, it's a lot lower effort and quality than the usual edits people do to touch up AICGs.

I'd still rather have samey AI art than samey DAZ shit.
Eh, at least DAZ doesn't disfigure hands. Look, lutra_lovegood got it right. It's the model selection and prompts. AI can imitate pretty distinct art styles, from classic to cubism, fauvism or what have you.

And what we're seeing here? For some reason most porn AI prompters are stuck in... this. Most generic hentai with super precise linework and "ultra-realistic" shading and coloring. And it's a lifeless style to begin with.

You can make AI characters look different and more dynamic, a lot of people just dont know how to use it properly. Ive seen a ton of AI games on dlsite that just use the basic Anything model and spam garbage low quality images.

Game has no options screen that I can see and it doesn't handle ultrawide resolutions well. Also, is there even anything in this other than murdering slimes and bugs in the forest?
