Oh boy, we’re back at it again…
First and foremost, I want to thank everyone who has played
Law School - Episode 2 so far and shared their insightful and encouraging feedback. I’m thrilled that you’re enjoying the episode—it motivates me to work even harder on
Episode 3!
Speaking of
Episode 3, I’ve been working on it for a few days now. I didn’t dive straight into it after the release of
Episode 2, as I started working on something else—a bit of a secret project that I’ll talk about later. But now, my full focus is on the next chapter of
Law School.
The first step was story mapping, thoroughly following my story “Bible”—the master map of
Law School’s narrative that I created at the very beginning of this journey. Before starting any episode, I sit down (well, more like pace around my room) and flesh out the major events, filler moments, lewd scenes, and everything in between. Once the creative juices start flowing, the ideas come fast, and I can’t help but get excited.
Episode 3 has been no exception!
This episode was already planned to be larger than
Episode 2, but as it turns out, it’s shaping up to be even bigger than
Episode 1! I’ve got a gargantuan task ahead, and the next few months of development will be intense. But hey, if you’ve been around for a while, you know I thrive when the timeline is tight and the workload is overwhelming.
I’ve already begun creating static story images and even completed one animation for
Episode 3. On top of that, I’m switching up my workflow this time. Instead of simultaneously juggling writing, 3D work, and leaving post-production and coding for the end, I’m organizing the episode by
days. This means I’ll complete all the assets (images and dialogues) for one in-game day before moving on to post-production (color correction, image touch-ups) and coding for that day.
This new approach should help me
avoid burnout from doing the same task for too long and, hopefully,
boost productivity day by day. At least, that’s the theory. When I pitched it to the team (a.k.a. me, myself, and I), it was unanimously approved. Lol.
Now, let’s talk numbers so far:
- 131 static story images
- 1 animation
- 4 scenes fully written
I know—it’s not much yet, but trust me,
those numbers will grow quickly!
That’s all for this week’s update. Thank you all for your amazing support. Have a fantastic week, and I’ll catch you next Monday!
Love,
MisterMaya
