Give her a bit more time, I also hated her at first specially with that introduction to her, but chapter 2 made me change my opinion on several characters.
Aurora needs to make progress on not being a bitch and standing up to the evil twin, in parts of the story NOT gated by choices in her favor. If she keeps only getting character development during branches where the MC could have chosen to be somewhere else, then she'll never get any with players who dislike bullies.

It's only ep 2 and she's already cracking, of course it has to be player choice. If the player doesn't interact with her, she has no reason to change. Why should I get a reward (Aurora content) when I don't put in the effort?

Sure, but where is the motivation to put in the effort? If I only see the one side of her, I'm never going to choose her over anyone else (except the evil twin I guess.)

id also choose her over Danielle that bitch of a new teacher that was introduced , if she never changes. Maybe also Miranda too just depends how it develops cause I like Miranda but hate her friend and she ruins her path for me. But also I wouldn't blame Aurora if she doesn't change either cause Andrea is her only friend so she is lonely without her.

That's totally okay though. Means Aurora is not for you. Just like any other antagonist with a redemption arc.
If your first impression of someone is bad and you don't want to put in the effort to go deeper, then just leave it at the first impression.

The way that I interact with Aurora is I give her the benefit of doubt but I am still cautious around her, because I am not sure If Andrea may be the bad influence, when interacted alone she seemed to be ok, friendly even.
Still It's too early in the story and she could still go back to that blackmail which even if I could sympathize with her it's a big no for me.
For me it's an "I will give her a chance for now but if she does not put effort intro treating everyone better / dropping the blackmail, we are back to being enemies".

Aurora is a tough one for me despite her being my favorite right now. I honestly feel bad for her with how without Andrea she would be lonely without friends. That and the scene where she wanted to tell the MC how she helped but saw how he was with a group of friends having fun and she didn't want to interrupt because she isn't really friends with any of them was a really sad scene I thought. So that right there makes me want to be nicer to her even if she does someshit in future episodes where she doesn't deserve any sympathy or the MC being nice.

Yeah that sad scene where she looks at your group of friends + the other later after leaving with Andrea where she seems to regret calling us out made me feel for her and made me hope that we can help her be a better person and maybe even join our group of friends in the future.

But it doesn't have to be that way, is what I'm saying. Like that scene Dessolos and Meiri mentioned, the dev could have set that up so that the MC saw her almost approach so it could be something he asks her about later. There ought to be some hints that she even CAN be redeemed. Her forced scenes in the new release show her opening up a little, but there's no talk about rescinding the blackmail. With that still hanging over the MCs head, why would we make any choice in her favor? So as soon as the forced part was over I noped out. And the first scene the evil twin shows up, bitch mode is back on.

I don't reject "any other antagonist in a redemption arc", but I do require that they make up for transgressions before giving them a chance. Unfortunately that often isn't the case in how things are written, because devs keep gating their character development behind choices. Its a chicken and egg situation but it doesn't have to be.

Honestly that was one thing I didn't like cause it was a sad scene and I felt really bad for her. I wanted the MC to either have the option to see her and walk over and invite her or ignore her or at the very least her having a conversation about it. Like I helped you with some guys that brought booze but didn't want to approach you with your group of friends. Kind of didn't like how she never told the MC she did something nice and good for him. Reminds me of a scene from a new game that recently came out a day or 2 ago on it's first release.

Aurora barely knows the MC, has a huge (if stupid) sword over his head with the blackmail, and it 100% fits her character to be as cunning as possible. She's not gonna give up the blackmail so quickly, it's partially a reason for them to interact in the first place. Knowing she can be redeemed just feels meta. I don't know how long this VN is planned to be but if everything gets resolved early on there's no real source of conflict and it becomes a slice of life story. Aurora is a character destined for the selfish path, she's gonna expect the MC at some point to be just as cunning as she is. I don't think we'll ever get her "redeemed" per se, but at the very least we've laid down the initial plans for mutual respect. Maybe MC will get some kind of win over Andrea in the next episode and she'll gripe to Aurora about it but Aurora will defend him and start a rift...who knows?

That said, the blackmail in general is stupid and shouldn't have worked in the first place. I chalk that up to VN college plots.

The way she talks about 'the strong win' seems to lean towards an underlying issue from her past. Not sure if she was bullied, or something else, but there's definitely more under her proverbial hood.

When Andrea isn't around, she seems like she wants to be a better person. Trying to help out with the alcohol, or even taking the time to get in deeper conversations with MC on the return train ride from the movie date. She acts a lot 'smaller' and the opposite of a bully when Andrea's not there.

I was pissed at Rose for what she about the Library Job but now I'm glad we are working with Aurora at the store. As we will get to see more of the real her since Andrea won't be around and maybe when we get the house we can invite her to spend the night once in awhile to get her away from that demon known as Andrea.

So finnaly finished the 2nd ep.
Nice update, really like the game so far. As for the girls.

I still don't like Aurora.
Yes she has made some slight steps to be more likeable, but that is all there is imo.
I also don't feel sorry for her, at all...play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
As long as she is going on with shit like the (rather dumb) blackmail or being manipulative i really don't want to have anything to do with her.
Thought she is at least more likeable if Andrea is absent.

Elsa is still the best, saddly not enough content with her.

Miranda is really nice and fun, thought her friend is really bringing her path down this ep.

Olive is cute, but not much more to say about her at this point...well she really likes building pillow forts.

Sana, i just have absolutely no interest in her...or dealing with her ''brother''.

Taylor...well she is ok, thought i find her friend Samara way more funny and interesting.

Danielle, to early to be sure, but so far i think she's an unlikable bitch.
Although seeing someone going against Caroline (which i can't stand either) was nice for once, Selena being hurt not so much...really a shame Selena isn't a LI, she would be among my top 3.

Rose, the date was nice, really a bit light on the content with her so far.
I had no problem with her taking the job in the library, thought a bit strange how that wasn't the job the MC was going for in the first place and him choosing a clothing store instead...

I don't remember anything about Danielle and people are already calling her a bitch, I guess I gotta replay the latest update.

I don't dislike Miranda's friend/translator as much as everyone else, but I do hope the MC starts learning ASL. :giggle:

There's a scene in the library, I think it's during one of Olive's public speaking trainings, where Caroline is assisting and Danielle walks in and the two of them have some kind of catfight over...I think Selena (It's been a minute). It's awkward and sets Danielle up to be sort of an antagonist but of course we aren't dealing with all the info yet.

I also don't mind Miranda's friend, she's just a road bump to create some drama in Miranda's route, and it's not like they are going to split up or anything so it's probably better to just get used to her if you pursue Miranda.

Now that I think about it, almost every LI has some kind of obstacle or drama in their route for the MC to deal with. Danielle's is just not fully laid out yet.

only thing we differ on besides girl rankings is Aurora pretty much I felt so bad for her in this episode was hard for me not to feel anything no matter what bad things she has done in the past haha. Sana yeah im only playing her path just to see not interested in her at all. I guess we also differ on the Library thing while it was the MC's fault it also felt real shitty to me since Rose knows he wants that pass and she doesn't care about it. Only because she is his best friend.

Not really the past. Also while i'm sure Andrea is a bad influence on her, or more like they are a bad influence on each other, i really don't have any sympathy for someone which is cunt/bully/bitch to really anyone just for own amusment and is reaping her just rewards...or still trying to manipulate others, like her comment about Miranda and her friend.

Mind you, if she genuinely put in some effort and tries to make amends, as well as changing herself i'd be up for helping her, but not until then.
And her second scene, watching a romance movie with the MC and ending beating/chocking each other...or what ever that was supposed to be, made me really wish there was a option just walk out of the door...

Normally id agree about the Bully stuff but well im a bit of a softie doesn't take much for me to feel bad for someone or to forgive unless they are horrible and she hasn't crossed the line to being horrible for me. Especially when I feel like they aren't showing their real self. Even moreso in Aurora's case as I feel she only does so not to lose her only friend Andrea and the fact that she would have no friend besides her really gets me to feel alot of sympathy towards her. To me nothing is worst than being lonely even tho it is her fault especially since she isnt shy or introverted. I don't recall her comment towards Miranda tbh so probably didn't rub me the wrong way.

We also differ on her 2nd lewd scene for me it's the best hate romance / lewd scene ive seen in a AVN
