Hello
Enjoying the game so far but I'm trying to import my save from S1 into S2 but keep getting this error.
Anyone know of a way to fix this?

I'm sorry, but an uncaught exception occurred.

If in the next episode there was a chance to leave the party to go see Samara (I guess she won't be there):

I hope for significant progress with her, at least in the scenario where you tell her you're not interested in Taylor (and you say the same thing to Taylor). That should make a difference.

Speak for yourself, Miranda's my favourite girl in this. The hardest thing with doing solo saves for other girls is turning her down.
Also let's not pretend that sex isn't also enjoyable for women, even more so from what I've heard. So it's not like she's not getting something from sleeping with the MC. She's hoping for more but is smart enough to know that she has some competition for his affection.
The game so far is being purposefully obscure in terms of relationship commitment so far, I think Taylor may have come closest in this update but even then it's the MC saying how he likes her as much as she likes him.
I'm sure there will come a time when you are forced to make a decision, but not yet.
Bro... it's just a phase, man. You'll grow out of this whole "gotta explain why it's totally fine to smash without catching feelings" routine soon enough. Just hit it and quit it, no TED Talk required.

Avrually in epidode 4 you already make decisions, you can block at least 3 relationships ( Sana, Elsa and Taylor)

Yes I know this, you still aren't actually committing to a relationship with any of them yet is what I was saying. Just closing some off.

Hear me out, if you had the altruistic personality that attracted Elsa. Would an altruist sleep with a married teacher? No. Both ways it doesn't work to fit the personality type. The others I can agree with you on.
Are you that dense? She's been trying to get a divorce for forever, why would she give a fuck about the marriage. Better yet, why would the MC?

One thing I haven't seen discussed regarding the personalities (it probably has been discussed at some point) is that it's not the girls who are altruistic, neutral, or selfish, but that is what they want in the MC. People see Samara in the selfish path and assume that means she is a selfish character, but rather, she likes an MC who is selfish. Same thing with the whole "How can Elsa be altruistic when she's still married and is sleeping with a student" discussion earlier; she's on the altruistic path because she would only consider being with an MC who is altruistic. Regarding Rose, I assume she's on the neutral path because she wouldn't like the MC (or something holds her back from pursuing the MC) if he were wholly altruistic or wholly selfish.
So, a girl being on a specific personality path does not mean that they themselves are that personality necessarily, that's just the kind of personality they are attracted to in the MC.
Yes it's exactly this you have to see this personality system as something from the girl side what kind of person they would date.

This didn't make sense for some girls anymore after season 1 which is why some girls were moved to being available to every path.

While I am not the biggest fan of the system I still think that it helps differentiate the girls then simply making them fall for the same guy.

You can commit kind of too...to Taylor or Miri...
"Kind of" isn't really commitment. To Taylor you just say that you have a crush on her too. With Miranda she was too scared to ask him if he feels the same or wants a relationship with her. Sienna even asks them both what they are now to each other, to which they don't really have an answer. Leading to Sienna warning the MC about being a fuck boy.
We will get there soon I would imagine, just not yet.

Imo the closest we get when it comes to commitment is with Aurora when we say "I don't judge you and I'm more than your friend" to her, and even that is a grey area with how much of a commitment that could mean. It could mean crush, FWB, best friend or even he might see himself already as her boyfriend.

The thing is though, that all the LIs are optional (and in the future exclusive) anyway. The only difference to the choices related to the MC's personality is that they obscure from the player what it is they're actually choosing. Different people will agree or disagree about which things are altruistic or selfish, so it's more like guessing rather than choosing the path you want to be on.
And let's not kid ourselfs: I don't think people care about the MC's personality at all, but want be on the correct path for their favourite LI. There's no way of telling which personality a LI prefers, though.

It seems kind of redundant, because the path exclusive LIs don't really feel very different and the cross-path LIs don't really feel samey. Now in season 2 you're locked in a path, the other content is still there, just not for this playthrough, but the personality points have been replaced with the regular dating sim +1 relationship points anyway.

The best thing the split between personality and LI system is used for imo is replayability. We learn different reveals on different personalities, even if we're just being friends with the LI's on that path, so we want to try. Also it makes us want to play different personalities when an option is greyed out, because we want to know what result that decision would have.

Yeah don't get me wrong I still think the system does not benefit law school at all, nobody likes having their favorite character denying them because they didn't know and I am not so sure splitting paths between different personalities really differentiates everything just enough to justify a replay.

Nowadays I am fine but I do remember being concerned back when Aurora my favorite was only tied to selfish and even nowadays I do think that there are still more characters who should not be tied to a particular personality like Rose but still this is what we got and at this point better get used to it.

Edit: and since we are talking abour personalities I think my biggest gripe is the path of neutrality,
What even is neutrality here? Shouldn't they be ok with anything? Suddenly you were too kind or selfish and you are out?

It seems to me that path should not even exist and it should be between altruistic or selfish with some girls being ok with both.

I finally played the update complete and I hope that I did not miss a thing. Because there are some chances you will miss some scenes.

The good:

Alle the paths are devoloping nice! As told before, sorry Aurora haters, I am happy she is returning on a very nice way. Also Sana is becoming very interesting to follow. How will this go on? And yes Samara opening up. I made a special path even greying out Taylor so that stays open. Rose? Yeah that will be Rose. Also VERY HAPPY Elsa is back on the track. Do I love that woman..... Olive is taking too much time.

The bad:

Only two things. The fat girl eating out of her nose. So gross. The issue with the real mummy should be taken care of in Ep 4 instead of making it a cliffhanger.

The hope:

Going all in with the dean..........

In about six months we will find out how things go. But the game is rocking!

I also just finished it today, playing through all possible paths and I have to agree with one particular point you made (I agree with a couple others but that's beside the point) - this episode made me really warm up to Samara. At this she's easily one of my favourite LIs in the game, along with Miri and Elsa :)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think e.g. Samara is not only exclusive to the selfish path, but also to the Taylor path. There could be more of this for the other LIs, instead of the personality paths and there'd be replayability just the same. The way season 2 plays now is not any different from season 1, because, if you don't look behind the scenes, you can't even tell that you're only getting +1 relationship points and no personality points anymore. There could have been more agressive thresholds for these relationship points right from the start and it would have worked out the same as the personality paths.
I think I get the idea that all the characters are entangled in an overarching background plot and only multiple playthroughs will reveal the big picture. But as I said, I don't think anybody cares about the MC's personality, so these reveals only really hinge on the player's choice of LI anyway.
