Hi everyone, I’ve been diving deep into Elsa’s route and I’ve noticed a very interesting moral paradox that I’d like to discuss.

Technically, the game labels Elsa’s route as "Altruistic," likely because the MC’s ultimate goal is to "save" her from her abusive and manipulative husband. However, looking at the actual mechanics and interactions, I’ve started to wonder: Is this path actually Selfish (Egoistic) disguised as Altruistic?

Here are a few points I’ve noted:

  1. The Violation of Boundaries: In key scenes, when Elsa is panicking and pleading for the MC to let her go (saying things like "Please, I need to go") out of fear for her career and safety, the MC often ignores her pleas. By grabbing her hand or forcing a kiss, the MC is prioritizing his own desire for a romantic breakthrough over Elsa's immediate safety and boundaries.
  2. The Risks Involved: The MC is well aware that Elsa’s husband is looking for any evidence of infidelity to destroy her career. By being aggressive in public spaces, the MC puts Elsa at a massive risk. A purely altruistic person would arguably back off to protect her, but the game penalizes this "Respectful" choice by locking the player out of the romance path.
  3. The Hero Complex: It feels like the developer is forcing us to be "Selfish" to get the "Good Ending." To stay on her route, we have to ignore her "No" and force the romance. It’s as if the game says: "You know what's better for her than she does." This isn't liberation; it’s a different form of dominance.
  4. The Illusion of Choice: If you choose to be truly altruistic and respect her decision, the romance effectively ends (Variable: elsa_path_friend = True). This suggests that in this game's universe, you can't have Elsa without being somewhat of an egoist.

My Conclusion:

Elsa's path feels like "Justified Egoism." We call it altruistic because we hate her husband, but the MC’s methods are actually quite selfish because they prioritize the MC's "collection" of romantic moments over Elsa’s stated wishes and professional security.

What do you guys think? Is the MC a savior, or just a more "charming" version of the control Elsa is trying to escape from?
It's one of the few reasons some ppl feel like some of the LI doesn't correspond with their path. Although the structure is easy to lay out, I think plot-wise, for MM. However, I do find myself with gaps in details regarding the LI depending on the situation. Like Taylor feels more altruistic and Rose feels more like a cross path.

If I recall correctly, MM has said a couple of months ago that we still have yet to learn why Rose is on the neutral path. My guess is that we need to do both good and bad things on her path and that's why she's neutral and not cross-path.

We can only wait...

The cat was imported from MisterMaya's previous game The Entrepeneur. Which is really worth playing as well.

I'm more suprised of the teddy bear being alive xD
