I gotta be honest here I am on episode 3 and I have no idea what path or paths i am on. Is this a "you can do stuff with all the girls" type of game? or is it pick a specific girl type? Because I haven't seen any....real rejection choices.

In season 1 you can do stuff with all girls no matter your route. It's not until season 2 (currently in production) where your personality locks out certain love interests. You can see in you're phone if you're on the Altruistic, Neutral or Selfish route and who the available love interests for that route will be.

So, you're going the easy route then? She falls in love the hardest with imo the least amount of effort from MC's side.

I currently don't know who I will go for in the end. Out of all current lewdable girls Taylor is my favorite when it comes to personality, but I really wonder what the main girls that don't have lewds yet will have in store for us. Seeing how redheads and goths are my kryptonite (I know Aurora is a redhead, but her personality isn't there yet for me so she's in 2nd place), it could very well be (and also extremely likely) that Rose, Danielle and/or Samara will be the ones I'll be aiming for. If we can get a "duo package" with Samara and Taylor, that would be even better

Yeah, that and her cuteness/naivety/clumsiness makes her my 3rd current favorite LI in the game.

To be fair though, imo currently there are no LI's in this game that I dislike, which almost never happens (I believe it happened 5 times at most before out of the hundreds of AVN's I've played). We'll see if MM can keep that up with season 2 when Danielle gets more of a presence. Even though they have aren't lewdable yet, I do already adore Rose and I already LOVE Samara. Danielle is the only unknown factor for me.

Vicky is 19 and Samara is 23 so it kinda fits. The "5 years younger" can just be how their birthdays are lined up with the present day.

What Taylor wanted to say and Samara's interruption hints that MC knows the mysterious step-mother.

So Taylor does respect the step-mother, it's just Samara who dislikes her and "thinks" she's a gold digger.

Plus, they're kinda dancing around the topic without revealing everything. The dev wouldn't go through all that just for unimportant minor characters. It's better for the story if it's characters we already know. It's classic Chekov's gun. Then, next chapter, a mother-daughter combo gets revealed.

So, I do think Capt Kirk's theory is right. Samara's dad and the Dean are married and Samara and Vicky are step-sisters.

The biggest tin foil hat theory I have, that I normally keep to myself, is that I wonder if something will happen that will cause Lana to drop out of school. If Lana was a regular LI and got removed from the game, people would riot, as they do when other LIs get removed. In this case, if it happens, MM can say that he's always pointed out Lana is a side girl from the start.
"I'm not looking for a relationship and just want to have fun in school" is a weak excuse to keep someone a side girl instead of a main LI. So I'm expecting something drastic to happen to her.

truth be told whenever I saw the not looking for relationship and she is a side girl. I always thought to myself at the time but didn't want to since she is my favorite. It won't be something as simple as her her dropping out of school. I thought it was gonna be darker in nature. Either she gets killed or she really is the evil twin between the 2 and does some shady ass shit , gets caught and arrested or something like that.

It's one of those rare games I'm now up to date and really want more. Aurora is best girl, I have no idea why. All the LIs are fire though, but I do have a question. The first season doesn't have a lot going on in terms of choices with the LIs, it seems pretty railroaded to let you meet them all and start romancing them all. Have I missed some subtle choices that would allow to branch off more than that?

This first season sets you on a personality path: Selfish, Neutral, Altruistic and each girl has a personality requirement for her route, except Aurora, Miranda, Taylor who will accept any.
From season 2 it will be about locking into a particular girl from your personality path.

There will also probably at least 4 possible unhappy MGs/SGs depending on who we choose in the end. Not because we don't choose them, but because we choose someone they don't like (if not worse) or the opposite: Their best friend.

To be honest, I'm more looking forward for those conflicts, than the endings where we're happy with the chosen MG
