That being said, if there are people that just see her as a manipulative bitch, then they are only looking at her interactions back in chapter 1, because by now there's more to her than that.
You're not wrong, but I don't entirely agree either. Much depends on how the player interacts with her.

In a playthrough, the MC can have two very different experiences with Aurora. Either he tries to treat her the best he can, giving her the benefit of the doubt. Or he's standoffish and doesn't say more words than necessary, keeping her at arm's length. In either case, he would know that Aurora is more than the bully he saw at the start. He already knew that; he never thinks of people in such simple terms. Everyone has a story.
Similarly, the player can still interpret Aurora appearing to testify as a way for her to get rid of Jacob, or they can believe that she came to save the MC. The player knows that this came at a cost to her, but the MC doesn't.
I assume this cost is her proceeding with the original plan they had for the MC. There is no doubt she's interested in him at a deeper level, because no matter how harsh he treats her, she'll open her legs for him after the smallest of compliments.

One thing I hope for is that Aurora isn't getting the 6th room in the house just because the MC says so. Nobody in the group can stand Aurora, for good reasons. With how Aurora-content is shoehorned in by the writing, I'm not holding my breath.

Showing up in the trial, confessing she fucked up. She really hits my soft spot. And earned a place in my heart.
Devil's advocate here, but if she hadn't testified, Jacob wouldn't have gotten expelled, and who knows what he would try next.

I think its because of the start(they talk before they get to the school, in the car, the dorm...) and Rose has many words in the group with others.
Just my interpretation. I am sad, there is no real scene with Rose yet.
I think you're right.

Let's do some measuring.
- Episode 1: Rose has 922 blocks of dialogue, containing 7,133 words and 37,655 characters.
- Episode 2: Rose has 254 blocks of dialogue, containing 1,574 words and 7,993 characters.
- Episode 3: Rose has 219 blocks of dialogue, containing 1,460 words and 7,413 characters.

So, yeah, you're right.

I did a good playtrough and a neutral playtrough and everything seems the same. Why does the personality tab in the phone say you have different LIs if you can get any of them anyways?

It will only come into play in season 2.
But, since that is a separate game, it will likely have a new game start where you can pick your alignment anyway.

Season 1 you can ‘play the field’ to get know all the characters (especially the LI). Season 2 is where your choice narrows down based on on your personality path (neutral, selfish or altruistic). It still remains to be seen how it will be play out.

I'm skeptical, personally.
By the time season 2 hits Steam, I'll have no recollection of which LIs are available on each path. I don't think season 1 did anything to prepare me for this either. Some tailored dialogue based on the MC's choices would've been a minimum, but we've only seen a bit of this in episode 3.
I don't even think that the 'selflessness' description fits the choices. These choices are more about 'practicality' vs. 'principled' than being about being selfish or altruistic.
And, on a practical level... I'm not sure if MisterMaya can pull it off. I enjoyed both his previous game and Law School, but the gameplay of this game just isn't there. Better games offer replayability through mutually exclusive paths and choices, not by telling players to play three times so they'll have a save for each path in the next game.

Oh, I don't like Aurora, but I entirely agree with this. She has her reasons for doing whatever it is she's doing. The MC has seen several sides of her personality, and he can draw his own conclusions. Did she help him in the trial, or did she get rid of Jacob, maybe a bit of both?
My frustration purely stems from being forced to spend time with her when I don't think it makes sense, and despite Aurora making clear that they're still holding on to the blackmail.

Yeah... Kinda? I don't think Miranda or Lana are inherently interesting. Miri has a quirk and baggage, and she's fairly unique... But she isn't necessarily a deep character. And Lana, I think she fell to the wayside. She doesn't have that much content or alone time with the MC despite them sharing a room. It's difficult to believe that she and the MC never sat down and talked about why her sister hates her so much.

I think the dev did a fantastic job at making every character mysterious, but being mysterious doesn't mean deep. What it does do is fast-track the connection we feel toward these characters when their secret is revealed, thus showing that they like and trust the MC. As far as shortcuts go, it's not a bad one to take.
This also makes Aurora a more interesting character than most, because she has motivations driving her, not trauma. She has an actual inner conflict.

I also gathered some stats using the Ren'Py SDK:
  • MC has 6,588 blocks of dialogue, containing 46,180 words and 238,018 characters.
  • Rose has 1,395 blocks of dialogue, containing 10,167 words and 53,061 characters.
  • Aurora has 932 blocks of dialogue, containing 6,096 words and 31,106 characters.
  • Lana has 902 blocks of dialogue, containing 6,462 words and 33,429 characters.
  • Elsa has 801 blocks of dialogue, containing 6,582 words and 34,409 characters.
  • Taylor has 791 blocks of dialogue, containing 5,907 words and 30,100 characters.
  • Olive has 715 blocks of dialogue, containing 4,697 words and 23,600 characters.
  • Alan has 533 blocks of dialogue, containing 4,761 words and 25,100 characters.
  • Will has 527 blocks of dialogue, containing 4,227 words and 22,394 characters.
  • Caroline has 427 blocks of dialogue, containing 4,342 words and 24,647 characters.
  • Dean has 426 blocks of dialogue, containing 4,750 words and 26,524 characters.
  • Samara has 300 blocks of dialogue, containing 2,077 words and 10,571 characters.
  • Jack has 299 blocks of dialogue, containing 2,779 words and 14,994 characters.
  • Sana has 296 blocks of dialogue, containing 1,871 words and 9,499 characters.
I'm surprised to see Rose so high up, because it doesn't feel like she got much content. Though she is very omnipresent in group settings, same as Lana.
Aurora has more lines than some other LI combined. I haven't looked at which LIs are available for all three major routes, but this ratio feels off to me. It's also striking that we had lewd content with Aurora before most other LIs. It's... brave to do this for a character that's designed to be divisive or controversial.

Seeing this, it isn't surprising that people have the impression that Aurora is the main LI of the game.
Fuck, i was counting them 1 by 1

elsa age is 28yo so she isn’t an older women lol
28 years old to someone around 18-20 IS 'older'. I don't know where you got the definition of 'older' from but that's the very definition of the word in all languages no matter what you believe 'older' means.

Anyway, I'm not here to argue facts and grammar but I was just saying that I have a weakness when it's a situation such as that.

Elsa is my current #1 cause I’m a sucker for older women but Rose is a close 2nd. There’s something mesmerizing about her and I feel like the scenes with her are going to be hot.
You didn't say older in relation to the MC. Most people who see the phrase "older women" would assume you are referring to women who would be considered cougars or elderly, not someone still in their 20s.

And yet you came back to reply to a post from a week ago instead of just letting it go. :WaitWhat:

Hey everyone!

Last week went great! I actually got everything done that I set out to do, and that always feels good. The start of the week was a little slow (Mondays never fail to throw a few real-life curveballs), but by midweek I was rolling again.

I finished the last animation for the final LEWD scene of this episode, which brings us to a total of six LEWD scenes for the first part of season 2. I’m super happy with that number. It feels like the sweet spot for an episode.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a normal week without a little chaos. Yesterday, I ran into an annoying issue where some of my scenes started crashing when I tried to load the genitalia asset on a character. The weird part is that everything worked fine while I was editing, but the second I tried to render, boom, crash. Since it was the first time I used that asset on a LI, I didn’t see it coming and ended up losing a few hours reopening each scene to remove it and find another fix. I’ll dig into what caused it later, but for now, I’m just moving on.

Let’s check out the numbers:
  • Static renders: 2,895
  • Animations: 67
  • Story content: 42 scenes written (35,443 words)
Only 111 new renders since last week, but I added 12 more animations, so I’ll call that a win. I’m definitely getting more confident with the LEWD scenes too. The step up between the first I've created and the last is night and day.

The current LEWD scene is almost done. I just need to finish the post-coitus talk, and that’s today’s goal. I’m guessing there are about 30 to 35 renders left for this one. Depending on your choices, you might not get to see the LEWD part, but the dialogue afterward is important, so I’ll be doing two versions of the renders. I'd much rather have one render, two variations of scripts, but oh well, you don't always get to choose.

Once that’s done, I’ll move on to writing and creating the final two scenes during the week. If everything goes smoothly, this should be wrapped up by the end of the week. After that, I’ll add some transition animations for some scenes, create the Facegram posts, and then head into post-production. If all goes according to plan, that should start next week.

I’m honestly really happy with how this episode is turning out. It’s been a solid push, and the results are showing. That’s it for this week’s update. Time to dive back into work.

See you all next week!
