Anyone know if saves from the Steam version transfer to the Patreon version okay or are there compatibility issues? Kinda tempted to try my Steam save with the F95 copy of Episode 4 once it releases here if those saves work.
As long they are not modded, the save should work without any issues.

Alright lads, episode 4 is officially in beta.

I sent the first draft to Wibble about an hour ago and now I’m waiting a few days to see what explodes in testing. Could be 3 bugs, could be a thousand. Fun times.

This one was weird to make. I laughed at my own jokes a lot, which is embarrassing but also a good sign the humour landed. There are 63 choices in this episode, not even counting DM dialogue options, so interaction is chunky.

Renders look good, animations get smoother as you go, and the phone got a few small improvements. Nothing crazy, but better is better.

My only real concern is length. For an update with around 3.1k renders and 40k+ words, it can feel short because of the new path system. But I still stand by it. It is the only way to keep LI interactions meaningful and avoid creating 10 different versions of every scene and losing my mind.

This episode also pays the transition tax. A lot of setup, not a huge story jump, but it puts in place things I have planned since early Law School. I am genuinely excited for the next one.

Big picture: today was a huge milestone and that alone is worth celebrating.

Next time you hear from me will be a quick post with the release plan, then the actual release. I have no idea when I will start episode 5. I need to stop working like a lunatic and fix a few parts of my life before diving back in.

Thanks for the support, stay tuned for what is next.

Take care and talk to you soon,

MisterMaya

Post scriptum: Just kidding, I'll never stop working like a lunatic !

Wow...Aurora! The best badass ever! I love her!If you can laugh at your own jokes, that's an excellent sign of your mental health! Perhaps you should take a few days off after the update to recharge and come up with new ideas for the next episodes. Believe me, you've impressed us all with your pace of development without sacrificing quality. I wish there were more developers like you! Have fun, Maya!(y)

Testing takes a decent amount of time probably closer to the end of Christmas/New Year
The amount of testing mostly depends on the amount of branching there is. The way I understand the latest update, even with the new pathing system the amount of branching still isn't that much to keep MM sane. Two weeks of testing and fixing should be realistic in this case, although to be honest we could tell it with more certainty if we knew the amount of lines in the code instead of "just" the amount of renders and words.

Taylor, Miri and Aurora are the 3 base LIs if I'm correct?

So with the paths now diverging, really going to test my endurance to get Sana and Elsa
Correct, Taylor Miri and Aurora are the only 3 Main Girls that are available on every personality.

The rest of the girls are split as follows:

Altruistic: Elsa & Olive
Neutral: Sana & Rose
Selfish: Danielle & Samara

My first playthrough of Season 2 will definitely be Selfish, I'm going to try to get that Samara & Taylor threesome

It is not about amount of lines, but the difficulty of the code. It should not be too difficult. Game options just add or deduct values. All variables depends on several parametrs = 3 main paths. I am not sure why do you need several weeks to test this kind of python code + grammar... It is not even a sand box. Now, transfer can be an issue, but dev already told it is working.

In general though, outsiders can predict the difficulty of the code by the amount of lines, especially considering MM already said a playthrough can feel short.

Hey man, just asking out of curiosity.
Who’s the character to the right of Vivian from MHB and the one to the right of Kiara from Elite Garden?
I feel like I’ve seen them before, but I can’t figure out from which game
