Is it just me or Dragon Rider is a bad class?
Ares was near useless as a Dragon Rider compared to Paladin.
Leane was a bit better, but she was still better as a Lancer.
There is another dude who can be a Dragon Rider, but I never used him.

You can use items outside the base by directly using the item menu.

Getting the Gugnir before taking Diamond City breaks the game balance, I don't recommend you to do it. Chloe with Gugnir was hitting 4k+ with Edge Slash.

Sniper is the worst gold class. Seria was near useless as a Sniper, but she could do proper damage as an Alpaca Rider.

Assassin is busted. Every general who can use Assassin troops can also learn one million blades and, together with that 50 trope speed, they can consistently deal 3k damage 3 to 4 times. I think that skill scales with general speed since Nora was doing 3k to 4k damage. Speed + Slow + spamming Million Blades + Escape + High Ether and return to battle can deal against most enemies in this game. Assassin Blade is too MP costly, only useful to deal a big initial damage to lower the enemy's normal attack damage or to finish something before getting hurt.

Blade Spin scales with speed and is the best skill for Issac and Kara/Carla.

Malestorm + Million Arrow combo against a fort can decimate it.

Marion as an Alpaca Rider is also great. She can spam Continuous Fire, use Absorption and Escape.

Army of sabotage to completely break turrets and walls can trivialize most combat, including Darker than Black mod.

Skills are gained randomly, but level affects the chance. The chances of getting Bomb bellow lv10 is very low.

Mirror Shield from Beatrice is stupidly good if you save scum (great to use against Assassins or the Demon General Etoile without save scumming due to how it works).

Valkyries are useless. They slightly raise the recruitment rate in the fort, but the difference is minimal. They also raise the power of Attraction, but the only one who learns that skill and can use Valkyries is Beatrice and you are doing something very wrong if you don't use Wizard with her.

Muriel is best with Gold (later Platinum) medal than the Holy Wand because she can spam Attraction and Absorption.

Leane's Heaven's Fall also scales from her Str, so give her Gugnir or Ragnarok.

Dragon Rider auto attack scales off Magic which is what I assume the issue is.

It can do respectable amount of damage with investment, but not really worth it in a single run imo.

I just like grabbing it because AFAIK it’s a class unique to Ares and Leane only.

I know you mentioned you used some suggestions in here but since you didn't specifically say I have to ask: are you using locale emulator or running the game with Japanese app locale?

So I tried using the local emulator, but that didn't work. It won't even show up as an option to use it in the emulator. I've tried running the game with the Japanese locale but no luck :/

That is very strange, I just tried it again this morning and the game runs for me still. I'm gonna attach a screenshot of what the locale emulator I use looks like, i'm not entirely sure whether this will help you but basically it's an extension that adds a new item when I right click the game executable, and when I run it like that it works. I just did a google search and downloaded it (it was free).

I almost wonder if it's a Windows 11 thing if you're running that? I'm on W10

This is a Visual Novel first and a game second. It has a lot and lots of dialogue and the gameplay only starts once the main story finishes.
And yes, I refuse to call the first part a prologue considering it has like 80% of the entire plot and dialogue.

1.After capturing Diamond city heroines affection stat gets unlocked and you just have to keep using them in battles and giving items that boost loyalty to raise affection and then keep talking with them to unlock events. Keep in mind some of them have some conditions or objectives to fulfill before you will get to romancing them.
2. Build harems in current and close towns to where Baroque currently resides so he gets enough NPC concubines and don't let him meet any of the female commanders during him moving to another town or he'll take them to harem regardless of having enough NPC concubines.

You can find a path to these territories by scouting nearby towns and then scout these unlocked places too to find remaining crystals. Yes, affection is heroines liking. I didn't check the worst outcome of low loyalty but at certain threshold they will decliine your orders to build anything.

1. Actually, he can't have a relationship with Muriel. She's his sister. Almost all of the other generals are possible though.
2. Gifts. Anything will do. Buy cheap food.

Ares can have relationship with every voiced character except Muriel since the dev doesn't like incest.
Ares can also have a relationship with Dorothy, the only unvoiced girl in the game.
Cynthia and Marion can only be married if you choose to join with the Aura Kingdom.
Beatrice and Dorothy can only be married if you choose to join the magic kingdom.
Leane can only be married if you choose to join with Stormlance.
Ares only have one short and boring sex scene with the girl he decides to marry.

Loyalty is raised by giving them gifts. Just buy a lot of bread in the capital of Aura Kingdom (have an useless general stationed there for buying purposes). You can give them gifts directly by opening the item menu and selecting the item.

If you don't have a girl at 100 loyalty before conquering the diamond city, you will get the NTR scene. The girl with the highest loyalty will be fucked in front of Ares with the implication that Ares and that girl loves each other while the girl with the lowest loyalty will be enjoying the sex so if you want to avoid it, make sure to rasie a girl to 100 loyalty.

Once the game really starts, the girls who can marry Ares will have an affection score.
Norn and Dorothy's affection stats are hidden until you raise it high enough.

Affection is raised by giving gifts so use the cheap bread giving strategy again.

With high enough affection, you can unlock scenes by talking with the girls, Ares and the girl of your choice needs to be in the same base. The ending is usually locked after they have sex, but you can watch one extra small scene if you talk to them after the sex. You have to unlock all their scenes before the endgame to get their ending except for Kara. Basically, giftbomb, talk to them and fulfill their request before defeating the Hippa army.

Ares can't have sex with Cynthia in her good ending, you have to fail to rescue her on purpose (you will know if you do her route) and let her get raped if you want Ares to have sex with Cynthia.

If you want Ares to marry Norn, you can't conquer the northwest castle at the last (leave the fire palace at the end since that one doesn't unlock anything useful, besides some powerful items you can buy at the shop). You have to raise her hidden affection and talk to her until you get the scene in which you promise her to liberate a kingdom. Once you liberate it, visit it with Norn and Ares and her affection will be unlocked.

If you want Ares to marry Dorothy, just give her gifts and talk to her until they decide to marry. Her affection score is unlocked in the middle of it.
Dorothy and her 2 mage friends have a hidden rape scene if you have them do the Quest function (the thing that makes them explore a base for a month). The blue haired girl is technically NTR since she is happily married.

If you want Ares to marry Leane, besides choosing Stormlance, you have to find her holy sword (the same sword that the Leane from Leane 1 uses). If you advance enough with her scenes, she will need a holy sword, that sword is the Demon Sword Garp that you can find if you destroy the crystal in the desert kingdom (the southeast crystal). Then the sword is purified if you send Leane and Ares to the purifying tower.

To learn how to purify the demonic weapons, you have to get one (by defeating one of the crystal generals) and have him talk with a member of the clergy, I always choosed Cynthia so I don't know if another person works.

To marry Kara (I think the game translated it as Carla), you have to rescue her brother by getting to his kingdom (the desert kingdom) before its invaded, advance enough scenes with her by talking and raising her affections to the point that you can't see more scenes with her and not have Ares to have sex with any other girl, her route is only unlocked after you reach the endgame (defeating the Hippa bros and conquering the 3 bases).

Seria has a hidden NTR scene which you can unlock if you send Cheetah to find an ingredient for her medicine quest.
To advance the medicine quest, you have to talk with Vetrinus who is unlocked if you use the Quest function in a specific town.

Muriel ending is unlocked if Ares didn't marry anyone. You unlock it regardless of you having seen Muriel scenes or not and, as I said before, the dev doesn't like incest so they don't have any sex scenes.

Combat doesn't need a guide, is braindead easy.
