MC finally joined the Social Network. You would have thought he'd done that ages ago, but he's kinda slow on these things.

This is one of those weeks where I'd hoped to be further into the story than I am, but mishaps along the way are bound to happen at some point.

On Monday morning, my power supply said goodbye in a flash of blue light. It was an easy fix, buying and installing a new one the day after. Still lost a whole day off from my normal job, that I rather would have spent working on this.

Tuesday I was struggling with rendering Robin. Her hair gave me so much trouble I only got 3 renders done, and decided to give her a little makeover instead to make her much easier to work with.

Scripting is around 80% done, and total stills now count 198, and animated frames 137. I've also posed new animations, so that I can keep rendering these nightly.

Anyway, nothing much else to add. Have a nice weekend.

It will be interesting to see how the dev deals with that, since presumably the plan was for Steph to be a love interest on par with the others, and I'm not at all sure that will fly given the degree of antipathy toward her on the part of those who've played the game so far. If there's a way to rehabilitate the character enough for her to have her own partisans, it won't be easy.

Lots of rendering this week. There has been very few moments my computer hasn't been actively rendering. We're counting 286 stills (chapter 1 had 500) and 1042 animated frames (chapter 1 had 250). The animations run in 1080, 30fps (with the exception of some added anims for the characters in the end chapter screen) - which is a leap up from the 15fps animations in chapter 1.

The biggest plus for this week is that the main scene of the chapter is done (some animations missing, but calling it, as the scene is done). So for next week I will progress on the smaller scenes, still renders, and compile a list what's left, so you have an idea of exactly what's missing.

Music selection is done, phone scripting is done, dialogue and screen text is about 60% done. Also worth mentioning, is that I changed to 4k textures for this chapter, and the result is stunning. Can't wait to show you the finished result.

Most promissing story of 2020 so far!!!!!

In my opinion there are 3 Main Characters.
First we have the MC depressed because of a past love that left him without any reason that we players know.
Then we have Steph the ex-girlfriend...
And then we have Cece the girl that needs and was saved (in more ways than one) by the MC

I must say that until now you tackle the real problem of depression and all that comes with it BRILLIANTLY
The way you portrayed Cece's depression is short of brilliant!

Keep this going and by the end of 2020 this will be the BEST novel out there!!!!

I think Chris may be very close friend with Steph and thats why he is torn about it and wants the mc to move on, because he knows she is married and also cant say anything because Steph is also his friend (Steph in the phone of Chris is shown to tell him to dont tell the mc and ends it with Love, Steph that is usually used when you are close friends with that person, i dont see anyone ending a message with Love , Name to someone they dont share some keep of close friendship)

She was almost begging him not to tell the MC the reason she left...
In my opinion she told the MC the truth when she told him that she left him to protect him, now the question is from whom!

I might even admit that the MC's Best Friend is the one trying to destroy his life, her begging might be a "Don't tell him and I'll do whatever you want!"
Or even that because of the "Love, Steph!" at the end of the message, She and MC's best friend are sexually involved somehow!

Whatever the reason is the creator should keep it to the last chapters or even better to the "The End" Chapter as I call the very last one!!!

that will never happen because there is no ntr in the game, so she having a romance or sexual relationship with our friend is out the question.

Perhaps his parents are mobs or something like (she was a fiancee to some mob guy or something, there is a lot of japan vns i had read with this setting, where one of the girls is a fiancee to some other guy and the mc romance her and have to go through lots of shit to protect her and marry in the end.)
We dont really know, I only hope there is a good reason for her to do that so that we can forgive her....

Yeah but a normal person would then talk with her partner and look for other options, even if they meant giving up the life they have atm and move to some quaint village over half the world away, possibly in a witness protection program.

Well luckily it is up to the dev to give us a logical or illogical explanation for her behavior and then feel good about having to romance her after. Glad it is not me that has to come up with it. So many nice girls in game, that make more sense at the moment to romance as the ex.

Thank you for your explanation, now i see why the "one stephanie option missed ".

A little late, but if you still haven't found out, you have been misled. You can finish chapter 1 without missing Steph options (see attachment). I guess you haven't texted her after coming home from the cafe, before getting a nap.

I have only found out this gem yesterday and I have to say it is already one of my favourites. For a virgin developer, this high standards in terms of render quality and gameplay options are almost unheard of, the story is very appealing as well. Girls are all really beautiful, their character traits are really diverse and it seems everyone will have a bit of drama going in their paths. The music is pretty good too, I love to play with music and sounds on.

For now Lexi is far ahead of the others for me, she's so pretty and the troubles of rich and famous are always intriguing, but Cece is also pretty awesome with her cuteness and batlling a depression. Everyone seems to be hating on Steph but I will wait for a couple of chapters to see what her deal was/is. The start of the game with the dream about her was extremely well done, I have been in a similar relationship as MC with Steph and the same thing happens to me. You seem to forget about her but then out of the blue you start having the most vivid dreams about her for a couple of days in a row.

Chris seems pretty chill and that pornstache is the best. I have to agree with the people that think he got the tickets from Steph and not from his boss, so that what the text from her is all about and he isn't some backstabbing asshole. Will just have to wait and see I guess, but all that speculation in this thread just says in itself how good of a game we have here.
