VN - Ren'Py - Completed - Leap of Faith [Ch. 8 v1.0.3] [DriftyGames]

Well it would be a great game but the only attractive girl there is the MC's sister (and one standing in a queue in one scene). So it doesn't matter that the game has really good graphic, interesting and realistic plot and quite many choices. What matters is that I'm not really attracted to any of the 6 girls you can choose from. So little but so much for a game to be great.
You may think that my taste is peculiar but actually I asked my wife and she agreed with me that none of the main female character is really pretty, they are all average. And it's not like the developer cannot create a beautiful girl but it seems that his or her taste is quite different than mine.

Just excellent. Fair warning about the dark themes in the game. Maybe not recommandable if you´re going through tough times. But made me smile a couple of times as well so if you´re able to distance yourself absolutely go for it

This may be the best VN I have played so far and its not only for the great characters or well animated scenes.

For the first 6 chapters I was already thinking of new playthroughs to explore all options with the other girls and really liked the story and all. But the end of Ch6 and most of Ch7 hit me unexpectedly hard and I am not sure I want to do this again. The content warning before that is no joke.
I did not expect that from an adult VN. Great job.

I have been a member of F95 for awhile now and played through quite a bit of games. This game is 2nd that I also patreoned pretty much right after playing it through for first time and also after now finishing ep 7 I felt like this would be a good time for me to actually write a review for the first time in this site.

For fapping material it definately is more on the vanilla side of things. Saying anything more would spoil the story so i'm gonna keep the rest for you to experience.

But, now that I mentioned experience. The story - out of all the games that I have played, is by far the most touching and deep. I never ever would have imagined to feel these deep feelings for a adult VN game. I really rarely get these feelings out of movies, books, or "actual" games that have been made by huge studios with professional story writing. Game starts out as a good seeing adult VN side of things, but before I even noticed I felt so deep inside it that I just wanted to keep playing just to see the story.

In that sense I find it hard to write this review. Its the first AVN game that eventually I feel more like playing for the story itself instead of the sexual content and it makes me mixed feelings. I'm not saying that the sex is bad or anything. Its more like a side fact of the story that people also have sex.

But for the experience. Again. For me it was a whole rollercoaster of feelings and that is the reason you would want to play this game. If you are one of those people who skip through dialogue to get to intercourse there are plenty more better games to explore. But yet, again, for the story side its definatively best experience I have had in a long time in any material even beyond AVN:s. And if that sounds like your deal then please do play it. And please do support this project.

So okay, story is 5/5. 10/5 if you compare it to only AVN:s. The charcaters feel real once you get inside their stories and... okay fine i'll stop upping that part.

So the downsides ?

Animations are a bit cheesy at points. Absolutely far on the better side what comes to renpys, but considering the quality of writing and characaters is so high up i'd say its not on the same level and for that reason it stands out at times.

I'm personally not a fan of oversized boobs. But that's just me. Luckily my personal romance in game isn't all that "blown out".

And yeah. For fapping material I'd personally like more kinky stuff. But then again I can find games for that need. For this game I'll keep coming back for the story and buildups.

Thank you yet again for this experience and while I can't wait for the story to come to finish, at same time I also wish it would just keep on going.

Very nice story, great renders.
It started quite plain, with lots of porn-games-stereotips but progress amazinly, witha very deeep and touching story.
Not a big fan of the love interests branching, but it keep the story more "real".

I rarely give 5 stars to games in here but this deserves it.

The writing is outstanding and it Is, together with the story, the core of this game and the main reason for its greatness. What's even more suprising is that the author managed it without writing isn't in form of loong blocks of text, but it's separated into smaller chunks of few shorter sentences.

The Story... Well, I won't say much, experience it yourself. Something moved inside me, it's nothing short then great and touching. I'd like to say much more but don't want to spoil anything...

I for once find Cece very interesting, even beautiful. The other characters Are good too but not that interesting but you deffinitely connect with them throughout the Story.

Renders And the animations Are fantastic.

Easily Top three of all the games in here.

Very mature writing. Excellent 1st attempt, but I feel Drifty would really made sure to nail this story as it was one of the last things that was asked by his daughter.
Although Cece was not as beautiful as compared to the other Li’s in other games or even Lexi and Steph from this game (though my favorite Lexi is from Intertwined), from the first time she was introduced, she really captured your attention. Either by wanting to find out why she looked troubled, wanting to protect her or falling for her.

Though I felt that ch4 should have been a bigger update as it was rather disjointed as it was dependent on which LI did the MC choose. I also didn’t really like the prom thing. But I guess it was a way for Cece to make sure that everyone is ok now and to say her goodbyes without really letting on what she was planning on doing.

I loved the date with Lexi in ch5. I’m a sucker for romantic dates (that’s why I chose Jill in BADIK, went with Bella for Summer’s Gone and Lexi for both here and Intertwined)
But end of ch6 and ch7 was really handled well. Like what one commented on the Youtube trailer for ch6, “At this point you might as well just let her”, but it was really her plan to jump, she never changed her mind about it. She just postponed it as she wanted to help you out and the other characters. And I really felt the pain when the MC was trying to hold her hand at the hospital bed and Cece moved her hand away not wanting to be touched by the MC as she was trying to get rid of him.

All in all, this was a very good VN with excellent writing. Excellent soundtrack and the jokes were landing for me. Also has very good animation and the animation/script was going for the lyrics of the songs. I highly recommend this game.

Must be one of the best story driven game i've ever gotten my hands on!
you will cry, you will smile...and you will want more! 10/10 no doubt!

One of the best, if not the best game here. You can tell the author is invested in this story, and sadly knows about a topic in the game too well. And the only game that ever made me feel anything.
Also the game gets better with every update.

This VN is so good that I cannot finish it. While that may sound odd, my next paragraph will have spoilers explaining why. In short, bloody well done on the characters and soundtrack. I am definitely putting this VN on my wall of greats.

I don't have much to say about this game. Besides it is the most recent addition to my "S Tier" games.
Although the renders are fantastic, the sex scenes leave much to be desired, definitely the weak point of the game.
It shouldn't bother you, though. At least it didn't bother me. This game is not about sex after all and you shouldn't start playing expecting that, or it may break you. If you're playing it, you'll play for the story, which is pretty fantastic.
All of the characters, the conflicts, they are just way, way, above average. Some really emotional moments, some tense ones. Some moments you just feel the joy of it. Drifty made a really great job on this game and you should try it.

Truly a Masterpiece. Very Special. The Story is told extremely well, the dialogues are amazing, and so is the relationship building as well as the characters in general. The art is superb, the animations are great, MC is charming and very well realized and what else is even to say. Truly Amazing experience, and only gets Better ♥

I was just sitting like any normal regular day, shifting trough the net, im down, lost, hurt. im not normal.
I look for very spesific rich story telling, and oh boy, I had no idea what i was walking into. There I was pressing download like any other game.
So you realize i have not seen this game before a few days ago, so took me some time to get to the end. I did not handle Melissa very well, its the other only real game that i can relate to this one that had me so strongly emotional feelings comming out. )had to leave game to wash face from tears) Thank god the dev's had the human decenty to warn before hand, I was litterly sitting in 2 min preparing having flashbacks, and decieded to go forth with what ever would come. Thank you so much for the care and consideration.

The story is so well written, had me laughing out laud for real, and making me want to play again to try diffrent outcomes. I have no clue how a person can come up with a story like this, but what a gift. you sir, are amazing.! still sitting with tears haha, trying to process it, it will take some time, but I made the choice, a choice the dev's made possible.

I think this game is a GEM.
For the rest of you out there, you are not alone, be strong. and for the game, be prepared for strong emotions

I absolutely love this game! So far this is the most enjoyable visual novel I have ever played! The music, the dialogue, the grammar, and the characters are all amazing! Currently struggling financially (Covid) but once I'm back in the black I'll be visiting your Patreon to make a donation.

Just on another level, It pretty much broke me. The best story out there, certainly not for everyone though, please take the warnings seriously guys.

If you are on the fence, I would definitely wait for the next episode before playing, because episode 6 is rough in the best of ways.

This game is indeed worth having your respect, I play somewhat lot of game in this forum but saying none. But, this one, is totally different, as I am one of those who are too lazy to read.

I am usually read the story of any others game for like 5 minutes into the game and wrap it up to what game play they offer, what solution they demand.

And then we got this game, which are certainly have a way to reach especially me as a non-reader in the first place, I've to admit I always dodge VN tag because most of them haven't much mechanism to play with and/or the problem I need to face to get the rewards.

And it's goes the same for this game the 1st chapter, I get invested in chapter one, and have enough of the story until I reach turn event point. Then, this game got me good.

I am not gonna rate, I leave them to other people who have ability to, I just a plebs who out of no where feels this game worth is more than I write this long.

Just played Episode 6. My Head is empty and I probably need some time to process. The renders ar beautiful und the writing is real good. I honestly didn't expect this after the first episodes, but the emotional impact is quite something.

I was a little uncertain at first if I was going to want to commit to the game; a few instances where another run of proofreading would have helped, a touch of uncanny valley in an animation, the MC character model being just a bit... not quite right - that sort of thing.

And now I'm here giving it five stars, having needed a few minutes in silence after the end, and desperately wanting the whole game to suddenly be finished so I can experience the whole journey. I enjoyed the path I took so completely that I kinda don't want to go back and see what the other paths are like because it would be somehow... disrespectful to the memories I just made for myself.

At the end of the day, the small details that made me unsure at first don't even register enough to rate this anything less than five stars. Looking forward to more.

I won't lie, I wasn't very much into this game from the start. I actually only like two of the character models.

However, it really grows on you when the MC goes on this paradise like vacation with all his friends. This game is more or less like creating great memories. Stuff you can look back on and smile.

It's probably not everyone's cup of tea as a result. Heck, it even threw me off since I was so used to some sort of conflict. I think my only personal gripe is that it's a bit corny at times.

Since the MC pretty asked to be pretty moralistic, you will only select one girl to romance. This makes a few moments feel a little odd because it's like a super friend bonding moment with the pacing of romance moment. Not a terrible thing, but I was spooked a few times because I was like "oh no, don't make me break their heart."

In this game You become wholesome maker 9000. You can hook your best friend. You can fix a relationship. You will be the center of why people have great memories with each other.

This game certainly evokes that sense of "man, I just want my girl and all my homies to be good."

Then ch. 6's ending hits, and you're like "oh no"

This is what the rest of the game is going to go from, and it's going to make or break the game. It's not your typical topic in an adult VN that's been pretty dang positive thus far.

Look, if you're dealing with those thoughts, I want you to know you're not alone and help is out there. You're not crazy either. It wouldn't be such a prevalent issue in humanity if you were. And as such, there are people who care, and there are ways to help yourself out of those thoughts.

I hope this game does it. I hope this game evolves into something that does give other people hope, especially those struggling.
