VN - Ren'Py - Completed - Leap of Faith [Ch. 8 v1.0.3] [DriftyGames]

Drifty has done such a great job at making you care about the people involved in LoF. They are all broken in their own ways. You get a chance to help each of them grow as individuals (and put your penis in them if you want as well, duh).
This game is a great example of what I always think of as an Adult game that has some pronographic elements. Think of it like America Pie, not a hentai/porn. This does mean the primary focus is story and relationships, but I totally love it.
My final praise for the game is that Chapter 6 was good enough to make me give my first Patreon sub. I have been playing AVNs for a while, but always been too cheap/poor to sub. I am happy to say that this changed my opinion on that subject.

episodes 1-4 were worthy of 5 stars, the renders are great the story was interesting, and the choices seem to matter, but then episode 5 comes out, or should we call it episode lexi, as pretty much the whole episode was her, even if you was on another girls path, just lexi lexi lexi, and it still disappoints me even though I actually like lexi, then episode 6, came out, and it pure trash, a dragged out have to message or ring everyone at the start, a skinny dipping scene, where your the choice given to you is pure useless, and may as well not be there, a pointless prom thing, a girl you saved once decides to jump off the exact same bridge, this game really has gone down in quality and very fast, think dev would be best deleting last two episodes and trying again, they are that bad, play episodes 1-4 after that don't bother

A good story with beautiful characters where your choices matter. Love the music, also the summary at the end of each chapter where you can check your progress with each girl. Looking forward for more.

Chapter 6 update was my first play for this game, and I am unsure how this did not come across my radar, but extremely happy it did.

I am not a fan of what I call "Nice shoes, wanna bone?" games. By no stretch is this that type of game. It is obvious that Drifty is commented to the story, and quality of this project. Every thing from the renders, to the music, to the comedy that is actually is funny, to the lows of emotional moments.

Aside from a 5 rating, I guess the best complement I can say here is I am going back to see other romance paths, even tho I am entirely happy with the path I went with (Lexi)

Right... So I've been in this forum for a couple of years and have never given a review for a reason, and it is simply because I skim through most of them if I find the writting boring or unapelling.


Because of this, I tend let updates pile up and I only start games when I think they have enough content to entertain me for a couple of hours, and then, if I like it, I become a patron.


In the case of Leap of faith, I was fortunate enough to play it for the first time in the 0,6,1 update, and boy was I in for a ride. I didn't skim through it once.


All characters have their own personality, agency, distinct dialogue and even some small body language gestures you can were put in with a lot of effort and tought. You can tell the author has read some books on writing (or youtube videos, there are some that are a goor resource too) and is experienced in the craft. And one character in particular, has been suberbly written, You can tell the author put his heart and soul into that character so it doesn't misrepresent or insult anyone. With that managing to do something really tough, which is in an adult game to not sexualize trauma or mental illness, and represent it extremely well.


And if there is one thing I respect immensely in an author, its his will to see his creative vision through. Yes, I've read some comments complaining about this not being an harem and not giving the MC the chance to cheat... But they all don't matter because that's not the story the author wants to tell.

This is by a large margin the best adult game I've played and its not even finished yet. I 10/5 recommend.

This game may not have the best renders or animations or lewd scenes but I can truly say that it hits you deep in your emotions by its amazing cast of characters who are all unique and lovable.

What makes this visual novel truly special is the music and out of this world storytelling. You are truly on edge about what will happend next and the story is very engaging and hilarious. Some scenes just make you burst out in laughter by its sillyness and Drifty is a comedian at heart.

This game is truly a masterpiece, 5 out of 5 stars. If Drifty could up his render/animation like DrPinkCake did from Acting Lessons to Being a DIK and remove some choice restrictions (cheating or not always be nice guy). I wouldnt be suprised if he climbed up the ranks in adult visual novel industry.

Great story, visuals, and soundtrack. Masterclass. Legit got emotional, characters have depth and likability. Something I'll never forget, Legit can't wait for any updates. Glad I had the pleasure to experience this.

Great renders and a real story.

Deals with real issue of suicidal thoughts whilst also maintaining the entertainment of an adult game.

I would easily recommend the game to those looking for a meaningful story and also a great presentation (graphics, animation and pace of the story.)

Well what can i tell you about this game, it a word "Masterpiece".

The renders, animations, models, storyline are outstanding, this is one of only a handful of games i truly wish time to go fast so i can get the next installment.

The storyline has many twists and turns and many paths which will allow for mulitiple playthroughs to see where each path takes you.

I have my path with lexi currently and Chapter 6 is all storyline there are no lewd scenes, but you know what i didnt care i was too wrapped up in the story.

Finally i agree with the warning at the end of chapter 6 in my current game because oooof that really did hit me and was damn hard to see that part of the story, its a game yes but seriously it is hard to watch that part and i only hope that Chapter 7 really does make it up (with the immortal words that this is just a game)

The writers, Devs and all involved thank you for this and i really cannot wait to see the next installment.

A Huge thank you to the developers you took me on a emotional rollercoaster, I laughed I bawled my eyes out (especially end of chapter 6), the paths you could chose all different and all great endings.

I will miss the characters even though it is a game you really get to know them and now it's ended I shed a tear that it is no more. Perhaps in future games you can bring the characters in, just like the character from chasing sunsets (at the pier before boat trip in chapter 5).

If I could give it ten stars I would this is one of the best games I have played and I will play again eventually but I am sorry it came to an end but Thank you Thank you Thank you for creating this masterpiece.

It has everything: good personalities, balanced comedy and drama, nice renders and lengthy chapters. It has some good adult scenes, but this game is about the story, not a non stop jerk off fest. Maybe keep that in mind, if that's all you play VNs for.

And I wanted to wait for the full release, but after the ending of Chapter 6, I felt like I had to show my appreciation.

One of the best games with good renders and an amazing storyline out there . Not the same cliche story with father of mc dead and him banging every girl , but different LI's having different problems to deal with .

This is the best game I have found on this site. The story is great, it's incredibly well put together. Not to mention, the creator has a great sense of humor, I had to laugh out loud several times during the game. Looking forward to the next chapters.

Leap of Faith is a nice little wish fulfillment/harem simulator. You’ve got several (mostly) beautiful love interests:

- The ex you’re not over, who has the perfect excuse for leaving you long ago.
- Two bisexual women who want to welcome you into a thruple.
- The broken girl who doesn’t let anyone in, but will make an exception for you.
- The childhood friend with whom you’ve had years of sexual tension, on and off.
- The humble and kind (but world famous) musician with endless money and a mansion where you spend your days partying.

The quality of game development is great. There are opportunities throughout the story to interact with your phone to unlock different options in scenes or increase your relationship with characters, which is a nice touch of depth. The models and backgrounds are above average. The soundtrack is unique and pleasant. The writing itself really delivers on the erotica front, with good pacing, a healthy amount of teasing before the sex scenes, and some spicy content during.

The one thing that stops me giving this game 5 stars is that I haven't felt much depth in the story department for the entire game. In addition to most of the characters feeling more like flat character archetypes than individuals, nothing’s really established as being at stake, such as interpersonal drama or a central conflict, for all of the first 4 chapters. As much as I’d love, in real life, to have 6 women at a mansion paradise are all throwing themselves at me and then easily shifting gears into friendship with no hard feelings if I decide to pursue their friend instead, it doesn’t make for a very interesting story.

Events in chapter 5 make it look like this we may be getting some drama and consequence soon, so hopefully I’ll be bumping this up to 5 stars soon by the time the story’s finished.

This game is just incredible. The story, the graphics, the characters, seriously...I've been playing Virtual Novels for 2 years now, but I've never played such an insanely beautiful game before. The game has touched my heart. I give the author my utmost respect for his work. I will definitely become his Patreon. I'm speechless and don't know what else to write. This is how virtual novels should be. Many thanks to DRIFTY for this masterpiece.

You know, I stumbled on this by accident, but man, what an experience and magnificient coincidence, author is amongs the best in the VN genre.

You know how you usually skip all dialogue to get to the *good stuff*. Well, this story is really entertaining and intriguing. I actually laughed out loud a couple of times.

For the first time playing one of these games I actually had to think about the decisions on a more emotional level. The characters are all very likable and are all different.

It also helps that it looks amazing and the girls are all different in their own way.

What an exceptional game! Definitely some of the best writing out there. Every character, including the MC is complex, multi-dimensional and so very real. Leap of Faith has a big heart and it shows every step of the way.

I've never played a game that have managed such an exquisite mix of tragedy and comedy. That scene early on where the MC sleeps on the couch, wakes up and starts cleaning up his flat with nothing but a towel and bunny slippers is the first time in a long while a game made me actually laugh out loud.

There are even valuable lessons in there, especially for the F95 audience. The scene in Lexi's bedroom after the date where the MC tells her how a good date doesn't have to end in sex, that even a cuddle could be a great way to mark the day because it's the connection that matters is profound and something I'd never have expected from a porn game. You can easily tell apart the devs who write with their dicks and those who write with their hearts, and that's what makes Leap of Faith such a gem among the wasteland.

There won't be many words here. I just want to say that this game is incredibly beautiful. To be honest, I was crying like a bitch. Thanks for playing. I chose Cece, and after going through the whole story with her, I can say that it was incredible. I think it's worth going with other characters ... Maybe I shouldn't force myself to sob at some moments))

Great game with beautiful renders, an appealing story, and good writing. I haven't played it in a while (not since Chapter 4), but my only complaint would be that from what I remember the choices you make aren't very varied or impactful.

Wow this was great. The characters and character building really stand out in this one, it really got me caring about the cast. It has a few flaws but it's still one of the few games I consider to be worthy of 5 stars. Not all the characters are equally attractive and some of the sex scene animation look a bit strange. But if you like a decent build up and story driven game you should really check this out. (And it got me laughing out loud with some of it's silly but original humor)
