Review of Leap of Faith Ch. 6

First of all, please fix phone GUI and mechanism. It's so tedious and such a chore everytime there's a new message. In game phone can add many elements to the VN but in Leap of Faith, instead it distracted my experience.

Other than that, like many other said, this is a well written VN. 9/10.

See how that banner has a girl crying? That's a god damn warning that this game can get you to that place.

This game handles so very very serious topics. It's well written and paced for most of the experience, and you'll be absorbed in what's happening.

Unlike most of adult VN, this one actually has you matching other characters too, and it's worth it. It's dang wholesome in that regards. The Goofy friend is more than a joke punching bag, and it's refreshing.

That being said, the finale of ch. 6 is so damn real. As someone who's been far down that painful road, it was intense to see it all again. I feel for her, and I've seen others like her, and I've been worried like the MC.

It takes a lot of experience and processing to handle this stuff. To anyone facing the , I will gladly offer an ear without judgment. Please seek a professional mental health expert if you feel what she feels. You are not alone.

Excellent adult visual novel tackling complex themes with different love interests.
Multiple playthroughs are necessary to see the paths for different women.

Art is gorgeous and expressive. Animations are good. Music adds to the emotional impact of scenes.

This game is character driven. Slice of life explores and builds relationships among the group, not only with the main character. There's even an option to matchmake for a couple of the NPCs. Most of the emotional highs and lows have enough groundwork, although a couple felt shortcircuited or rushed.

In terms of game design, it is easy to miss bonus content that's unlocked by the phone. I used a walkthrough to see what I missed.

The love interests are a bit uneven in how well integrated they are and how strong their stories are. Even though I like all of their characters, I think a few could have been cut without impacting the overall themes and message. A smaller set of love interests might have sharpened the tension between past, present, and possible loves, as well as simplified the MC's story.

Sometimes it's a bit awkward for the writing to drag along rejected love interests. For example, there are scenes that build up as huge moments, only to conclude anticlimactically because the game deflects if the player isn't on that woman's path.

Overall though an excellent game!

I cannot believe how much this game consumed me for Days. The writing is amazing this is a shining example of how erotic games should be. Never once have I EVER shed a tear during a VN and this had me in tearville many times... and Chapter 6.... It should not be an option... its 100 percent of what you signed on for in this story as hard as it was to sit through. This by far has been the most gripping and "real" game I have played to date. Bravo to Drifty Games and I will be sending a nice monetary thank you soon. Devs kike this deserve support and more.

The models are okay. The story is okay. The humor isn't for me. After a certain point though I realized I was still clicking through the game but had totally lost interest. I appreciate the developer trying to tackle some tough themes, but it didn't land for me.

One of the best games that i have played. Emotional, funny, sometimes goofy, filled with great characters, animations.and maybe the best music i have heard in a long time.

But beware of the heavy themes! They can make you sad or depressed, if you are in a dark place yourself or know sombody that has these issues. (Thank god for the Warning) Believe me. I had to deal with these things for years and some elements here hit me really hard. Even if its just a game. The Dev knows exactly how scary/difficult these illness is and how hard it is to live such a life.

Thats why it´s a 5/5 for me so far. It´s more than just a fap game. He created a emotional rollercoster, that will not let you go for days. And i´m really exited and a little scared for what is coming next.^^

I am angry at myself for waiting this long to write a review for this game, considering I've been playing it for 1-2 years at this point.

This game is one of the crown jewels in the AVN space, deserving every bit of the immensely high rating it already has. All because it does the thing it sets it do better than every other game:

1. Compelling, likeable characters, all dealing with their own issues (best part of the game)
2. The Slice-of-life story, with humorous and witty writing.
3. The emotions, coupled with one of the best soundtracks out of any game I have ever played.

Whether you're starting out in the AVN space, or have been a part of it for a while now, do yourself a favor and play this wonderful game, and pledge to Drifty on Patreon immediately.

One of the easiest 5 stars I would ever give, period.

Fuck man... Just finished the last update, it is a really good game with a great story that hooked me up and makes you feel for the characters, especially since i played it from the start to the end in one sitting i was completely in it.

I just love this one so much, even if there are sad moments. (Or maybe the sad moments is what make this one so great!)

It has loveable characters, both men and women. The humor is so good, I had trouble reading some pages as I laughed so much that tears made me nearly blind. I cried a lot of other reasons to, some parts in this history made me think of sad things, but in a beautiful way. Edit: I forgor the music, stupid, stupid me, it's just marvelous. Some songs I played at the top of my speakers. (Luckily my neighbor under me is half-deaf and I don't care about the birds on the roof above me! Yes, penthouse... )

This is by far my favorite story. I hate the cliffhangers, but it adds to the need to come back for more updates.

A good series of slice of life stories. While renders aren't exactly the best, they got the job done. I have two main criticism: First, the phone mechanism is weird and tedious. Second, the smiles of some characters are just weirdly posed. Like someone held them gunpoint & forced to smile. 9/10.

But I can't get past the fact that if the developers daughter committed suicide (which is truly, truly awful), why make a porn game where you have sex with a character representing said daughter ?

I really dont know what to say, because everyone in this review section already told everything.
So i just add my 5 star rating.
This game is top tier, AAA in the porn genre.
The writing is excellent, situations in this game will make you laugh and cry, renders is top notch, hell, i even like MC in this game.
If you didn't played this game yet, go and play, you will be amazed.

I don't know why it took me this long long to write a review but I'll be damned for forgetting to put one after finishing Chapter 6

On its surface level, you have everything you'd want out of general game with regards to render quality, sexual content, and solid writing/dialogue. There's a ton of fun associated with playing a game like this because the balance the dev has struck between sexual content/teasing and plot building is perfect and it's the latter that makes this game among the best I've ever played

This game is about life itself. It's a never-ending journey to find who we are as individuals all the while battling our own personal demons that may get in the way of us doing it. This game highlights the importance of having a strong support system and ignoring of external judgement while also acknowledging that mental health is also something serious no matter what someone else looks like on the outside. It's something we all have to manage ourselves at the end of the day.

Drifty, first and foremost, massive kudos to be where you are today and couldn't be happier that you're in a better place now with yourself and your family. Making a game like this that tackles some serious underlying issues on a site like this takes guts and that deserves respect. You've created a gem here and hats off to you

This game does suffer from the "everyone is just so gosh darn nice" syndrome. If the MC rejects a LI and chooses another, everyone is very grown up and mature about it... Cause THAT happens in real life. Granted, there is plenty of drama and while everyone is nice, they all have some emotional baggage to make them interesting.

Lexi the pop star is another issue. Her life is totally unbelievable. I won't spoil anything but I had a very hard time buying her. At all. Good thing she is smoking hot.

I love the MC. While his back story is a bit odd, at the point in his life where the game starts, he is a lot of fun. He's the kind of guy I would have liked to have been. Well, without the Arctic Silver hair.

Somehow, the dev gets you hooked on all the characters. It is well written and is clearly in the top 3 VNs on this site. The music, quirkly characters and dialogue help take you on a fun and emotional journey that you do not want to miss.

It's like the TV show Friends except with some diversity and real emotional issues.

UPDATE: Now that the game is complete, I took some time to re-read my review and for the most part, it still stands. The bottom line is it is a great production and the dev works hard to pull at the heart strings as well as adding some adult content. It's funny and fresh and, as I said previously, still in the top 3 VNs on this site.

I will say, the ending caught me a little off guard. It seems like there were still some plot holes left open... like what happened to the dude/stephanie watching the MC? If you totally reject Stephanie, why does she show up in the ending? There are others, but overall, they really don't matter. Take the time and play this VN. You will not be disappointed.

So... this latest chapter absolutely wrecked me. On so many levels. As someone invested in this story, as someone who has grappled with depression, and as a father... This was just very difficult to get through. But it was absolutely worth the effort.

This is a masterful story told in a way that makes you understand, even before it's revealed, that the writer has been here before. That he has put a lot of his heart and his love into the story he's telling. The revelation as to why, however, is the most crushing thing I think I've ever read in fiction.

I've always thought Leap of Faith did tremendous things with music, beyond what nearly any other game has managed. That is doubly true of this chapter. As always, it's just really well thought-out and it always adds to the story. I wish this were true of many more adult games. But this is the standard-bearer for music in AVNs.

If you haven't played this, do it. If you are dealing with your own emotional demons... Maybe give it a pass for now. Either way, know that this is a story that is going to bring you both joy and sorrow.

The animations are technically great, but the scenarios they depict are generic for the most part. A lot of 'fetishes' are covered, but none are really fleshed out in a way that would make them interesting.

I am kinda addicted to these games, I have played at least 200 of them, and I have to tell you... This is pretty much the best one I've ever played. At first, I was a little disappointed that there was no harem route, but the story itself.. Dear God..

The writing is fantastic, both story-wise and in conversations.
The animations, scenes, and images are just top-notch. Super high quality in implementation and presentation.
The explicit scenes, for each path (or at least for the one I have played through), are not often, but they are very well done (and I really liked this because the story was just soo great).

If you like to sometimes play VN not just for the explicit scenes, but for the story. Play this game. Hell! Even if you only like explicit scenes, play this game as well, as they are good and you will experience something absolutely wonderful.
