Yeah, it's taken me a full day to be able to write down how I felt. As I mentioned, this update had a very personal meaning to me. I won't go into details, but our family suffered a somewhat similar, and very sudden, loss (though different cause) many years ago when my sister passed. I was 17, she was 13. In addition to dealing with my own grief, I had to watch what it did to Mom and Dad. Some of that pain is still there, almost 50 years later. Life is never fair, but there is something so terribly unfair about a parent losing a child.

You get a warning that this game contains +18 content. The subject that has been touched upon in this last update goes beyond that. People that have gone through this in whatever form might not want to relive these emotions
Drifty have said multiple times that it's inspired by a real person (which turned out to be his daughter). But no, that real life daughter isn't in the story. The way I interpret that is that while the pain and suffering from depression happened to someone close to him, Cece is very different from his daughter.

Hmm... when did Cece talk about you and Steph? Was that in this update or the previous one? I'm not seeing it on my Steph playthrough.
And I hope to hell Linda isn't out hooking, in another playthrough with her as my LI.

OK, just saw it. That definitely looks like Linda in the background when Cece is telling you "But ended up ruining it instead." But she is in front of that bus stop, so who knows.
Drifty likes to drag red herrings in our paths, so I'll reserve judgement for now.

I am so envious of those of you who manage to have gotten to the end of Chapter 6... I'm stuck at the beginning of Chapter 4 when I have to admit to myself which path to choose... it's like I'm stumbling around cluelessly more than a leap of faith.

It's not Linda. It's Cece. That's supposed to be a flashback to the day when you first met her standing alone at the bus stop.

I'm literally crying my eyes out 12:00 at night. 2021 has been a fucking shitty year for me. Lost both my parents within a month. Last month my son's friend since they were 2 years old, that he's known for 18 years, committed suicide.
They grew apart a bit during High School (went to different schools), but still kept in touch. He had a full young life. Doing art, studying architecture, excelled in sport, had tons of wild outdoor hobbies plenty of friends....but still.
DriftyGames I'm not sure if I'm jumping to conclusions, but my heart goes out to you. Having experienced a lot of sorrow myself this year, I'm grateful to still have my 2 sons. My heart truly goes out to you. I know it's against Covid regulations but here's some hugs for you.
Very courageous of you to tell this story and I for one is truly glad to have played it so far. All the best.

OK, looking at it again, that does look more like Cece than Linda at least.
But the question remains, given how she was dressed and what she said...... WTF is my sweet LI Linda doing? That's my waifu! Guess I'll find out eventually.
Okay.. I can't take this shit right now. That was hard. I just finished chapter 6 and, my god.... So, how long are we waiting based on the past updates?
