I finished LoF only once till now, right now doing a Cece path playthrough but my initial one was Lexi and I think it was perfect. I love Cece but I felt all she needed was a friend, not necessarily a partner. She needed a person to be there for her and to show her she's got friends that are worth to live for. In the meanwhile Lexi's story is about her being alone, looking for that special somebody to fill the emptiness in her heart. At least that's just how I felt about it

I just had to play it all over again, 2 years after playing it for the first time, I just love this game so much.

thanks a lot for your description of Lexi, and that is why she is my 2nd choice in this great game but for me Cece is the best and if you check carefully in the game dialogues and story line you will find that Cece's 1st concern is helping others, helping MC, helping linda, helping Steph, helping against the bad guy of the school, even helping unknown woman in the front of the hospital, in the 1st jump She return back when she look at mc eyes and knew he needs help, a girl live for others before herself is my favorite, SO, Cece is my beloved angel from heaven, and that's just how I felt about her.

So i played lof as my first avn then played being a dik and then al, u4ia and intertwined. Convinced my wife to try lof. Its been interesting watching her play. She has just finished eps 3. So far the mc had sex with robin but she didnt break up robin and kira. She had the fight with steph and got the shoe thrown at her but in the nuke interactions has been positive to her, in lexis path not sure what she thinks. Was very business like over text and nuke but got there early for the plane scene and not sure how she feels about cece. Told her we can talk about it when she is done and ill learn what she was thinking. After eps 4 ill know what her plan is as the game is set up for that
For me I only ever play Cece route, just love her character, probs because I can relate to it. I see your point of lexi being alone but that's why everytime I play I always get your two child hood friends together and makes lexi get with her redhead friend. lexi feeling alone but always had her friend right next to her and just taking time to realize she was the one.

Auld Lang Syne. I know I am late to the party, but as a very long time lurker for a few years, my first post and highest regard for a masterpiece well done.
Great game! But there is one thing that a little bit frustrating for me.
As for the routes, I agree that Cece and Stephs are look most "canon" ones. Holly's, on other hand, is most wrong and cruel. And despite the fact Cece is the prettiest for me, my favorite path is still Lexi's. She was so happy there with her dream come true!

But if you look a little deeper, Steph's route doesn't seem so canonical any more. All her's "what I went through for you" is a total bullshit. She did all that for herself. Her selfish love was the reason of all this (and not the dad's money how they say). Even when Steph came back, the first what she did was attempt to satisfy her own lust by practically raping MC. Everything she got was a result of her mistakes and stupid decisions. But I think she deserves her forgiveness and closure with a neutral approach. That is canon of her path for me.
Cece, on a contrary, is a pure altruism. All what she wants is to help others despite her own pain and suffering. She deserves love and happiness. Besides, all those days and nights that MC spends in hospital seem more convincing, and the story itself feels more wholesome. Her route is the most right to me. Plus, on this path all others meet their happy endings (if you bring Chris and Linda together).

There are reactions and events that are effected by the points and traits, and there are steam achievements that they help with (positive and negative), but yea, other than that, the only real choice is the beginning of Ch. 4 (and the Kira/Robin choice in Ch. 3) ... everything else is mostly flavor (and Chris outcomes). It has it's importance, but you're right, it doesn't really effect the outcome for the MC.
